DGL Season 2 - League Sign Thread

 

The forge contest is over but this is just the beginning. Over the next 16 weeks the DGL 1v1 mega-tournament will be underway. There will be one match announced each week and you have 2 weeks from each match announcement to complete your match. You will submit all of your scores to that thread and it will be arranged in a database by Choot 'Em.

 

If you have over 5 unplayed matches you will be disqualified from the league. It should not be that hard to complete the matches. There will be awards given out to anyone who completes 11 matches. Then if you are placed in the top 3 slots at the end of the season you will receive an award for doing so. The top two members at the end of the season will play 3 matches and whoever wins 2 out of 3 first will be crowned as the DGL champion and will be crowned with a prize. I will try to give out as many rewards as possible to make everything even more fun. Possibly MS points for the top 3 participants.

 

This league will now be hosted on this site instead of the previous one so it is easier for you all to use. To sign up please copy and paste the template below and fill it out.

Be sure to save all of your games and upload them to your fileshare so that we can put them on the forum youtube channel. The picture and colors you submit will be used to customize your picture in the video.

 

Some great news for the forgers as well. I appreciate all of the submissions that we got and we have some nice maps that you can all play on. If you did not get to submit a map or you wanted to submit another then you are all in luck. The DGL is now going to have a submission form for maps that will be open throughout Season 2. This thread will be opened up on 1/13/13.

This sign-up thread will go on for 2 weeks so everyone who wants to play will get to sign-up. It will close on 1/20/13 then on 1/25/12 the first match will be announced.

Also. I will be sending out PMs after the sign ups are over. If you do not respond to the PM within 5 days then you will not be entered into the league. I have noticed there are some new members joining so I want to make sure they want to play. You must also have a picture to be used in videos. If you do not add a link with a picture then you will get to either be a strip of bacon, a traffic cone, or the mark of shame emblem. And you will not get to choose which one! :D

 

If you are worried that you might not be on to answer the messege you can PM me prior to when I send them out.

Question, Doc: Can updated versions of maps be included? I have changed mine a bit, mainly the weapons and spawns. If not, it shouldn't be a huge deal. I kinda finished before seeing the updated weapon allowance lol

 

EDIT: Updated version now in my file share, saved as The Garden.1 :D

EDIT: Ahh well I forgot Halo 4 File Share isn't working. Best you look it up on Halo 4, just go to my file share and download "The Garden.1" tell me when you have it :D

I can't do this if you put it in something like EST and only then I will be able to play a bit at around 2pm for you guys...

I wish all the timezones where the same...

You can communicate with your opponent about when you want to play your match. You also have 2 weeks for each match so it should be plenty of time.

Thanks to everyone for signing up so far! I am excited to see so much excitement. In three days the forge submition thread will be created. So if you have any good ideas for a 1v1 map see if you can get it made and get it submitted quickly so we can take a look at it.

Detailed information about the tournament including beginning date, scoring system, weekly match lists, and a list of official maps and gametype (links if available) will be released within the next few weeks! I will also be sending a PM to all participants with match information and relevant links to topics once the sign-up ends!
