Ps4 And Xbox compared to Pc Ports

A comparison has been revealed in regards to multiplatform games on the PS4 and Xbox 720. According to a report by Now Gamer on Jan. 17, an insider claimed that the Xbox 720 (which they referred to as the Xbox Next) will have better looking versions of “every multiplatform or third party game” when compared to the PS4. The insider also talked about porting PC games to the Xbox 720. He suggested that it will be easier than converting PC titles to the Xbox 360:

 

Porting is not a problem. Porting pc games would be a lot easier this time. Any part of the engine code can be sent to any CPU core or GPU DSP [digital signal processor], it's very open due to the blitter.

 

The PS4 and Xbox 720 are projected to be released in North America by the end of this year. Sony and Microsoft are expected to officially unveil their next-generation systems sometime in the near future. More information will then be shared at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo

I'm so excited! can't wait for the new systems! and I really hope that they convert xbox 720 games to the PC! then the next few halos will be on PC. unlike halo 3. I really wish microsoft would convert halo three to the PC. it would give them more money. I really hope all of this said in the article comes true!

Haloman2, Xbox games use specialised codes that will never work on PC. PC games are thorough, the coding makes everything so much better.

 

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean that a port would be impossible? AFAIK, this is untrue. For example, Gears of War 1, an Xbox 360 game, was ported to the PC (and it was a really good port in my opinion). Microsoft owns both the Xbox and PC platforms; they could make it work.

I completely agree! I can't wait to see what they are like. I also wish that Halo 3 would be ported to PC. I, like many other halo fans, still haven't finished the fight :( (meaning the halo/covenant trilogy). Still stuck on the cliffhanger at the end of halo 2.

 

Halo has become mainly a selling point for the Xbox (1 and 360). Once the 720 comes out, Microsoft will have no need to sell 360s anymore, so hopefully we will see a port!
