The bandwhich, as I'm sure everyone knows by now, consists of The Kills' Alison Mosshart on vocals, The White Stripes' illustrious Jack White on drums, Queen of the Stone Age's Dean Fertita on guitar, and the Raconteurs' Jack Lawrence on bassare heavier (and, frankly, better) live than on their recently released debut album Horehound, and they look more like an authentically grimy blues-rock gang with a fondness for black denim than the rag-tag collection of indie rockers you might expect. Mosshart is a kinetic presence: wraith-like, she stalks the stage shrouded in smoke from her endless stream of cigarettes; appearing more feral than when in The Kills, she sings as though she's channeling Patti Smith by way of PJ coach outlet online Harvey (Also, she has excellent bangs). Rinse both types of glutinous rice in several changes of water until water runs clear, and soak overnight. 2. In a saucepan, bring the glutinous rice, water and pandanus leaves or extract to a boil over medium heat and simmer uncovered for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally until the rice is soft and cooked, with porridge-like consistency. Discard the pandanus leaves, if using. Add the palm sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes before removing from the heat 3.
