Firefight wasn't really that great in Reach. The main reason it was used was for credit farming. I'd rather have 343i focus their efforts elsewhere.

Bloom has gotten a bad rep due to its poor implementation in Reach. 343i should be smart enough to learn from Bungie's mistakes with bloom.

I would agree with you but to say anyone complaining isn't a true Halo fan is far from the truth. They are raising an argument to it because they are a true fan. They don't want to see their favorite series reduced to another mundane shooter. I haven't seen 343i do anything that would jeopardize my belief that the Halo series is becoming something it's not, on the contrary I see 343i bringing Halo back to its core gameplay while creating an interesting new dynamic.

Chief doesn't have to die to end the series. In some ways it's more cliche for the hero to sacrifice themselves at the end of their story arc, rather then live a life afterwards. Maybe the end of the last Halo will finally bring peace in the galaxy allowing Chief to retire. The only thing that the story needs to end with is closure.

Never trust a game magazine and especially never trust one that's just speculating.

If you're referring to plasma pistols being in the default loadout for a demonstration game then it doesn't mean anything. Just because they had it in the demo build doesn't mean it will be in matchmaking. Also we're not even sure if a plasma pistol overcharge will disable a vehicle anymore.

Having a whole outfit usually takes away from avatar customization. A shirt or a hat is always a nice touch

Reading everything makes me feel so much better about Halo 4. 343i is doing everything right so far to bring Halo back to its core style, while innovating at the same time. Begin the countdown until release.
