Not many people play classic mode you say... and yet everyone whines about AA's all the time. Incredible. JK I enjoy playing on both. I would really like to see this happen. Change the playlist everyday. Maybe something we can sort of expect to see too. Monday - Classic Slayer Tuesday - Action Sac Wednesday - Firefight Thursday - Invasion Friday - Infection Saturday - DLC Sunday - Campaign Thoughts? I really like to play campaign on Sunday afternoons haha...

This event has passed. What are you posting here for. Can we get a lock on this thread?
-
Sprint is all I would keep around If any in the campaign. If not in campaign I hope MC walks a little faster. In MM give us all and more AA's for custom maps. Only have a few playlists where AA's are available. 343 is not going to take a step back and remove all AA's but they might do a better job of limiting them to Action Sack, Custom Games and maybe one AA slayer playlist.

As long as I don't have to fight elites I don't care where they are. I think we will have new enemies and allies in H4

I have been watching his vids for a week or 2 now. He seems to know someone at 343. I don't know if I like the look of those Spartans. I know its early but they look like plastic I would prefer them to look more muted on the lighting and not so glossy.
-
I only want more customization in terms of the spartan I play with online. I want secondary colors to stay when playing in team battles like they did in Halo 3.
-
If they can't get Marty O'Donnell to do the music I will be very disappointed. I like the music in both trailers but I want the Halo feel and so much of that comes from the music. I still get chills every time I hear the haunting sound of those monks singing.
-
I have been thinking about brutes and I really do not want them in MM unless everyone is. I already hate elites vs Spartans I cant imagine having EvSvB in the same match. Just sounds dumb to me.

No No No.. Please No. Has Halo not evolved enough already? We asked for some small steps forward with Reach and instead they ran and jumped off a cliff....then used a jet pack to fly back up and shoot us in the back. Haha Seriously though anyone who has played halo for more than just Reach knows it is a FPS ONLY. 3rd person in vehicles. For the cinematic element you are wanting... Go watch in third person in theater.

I was discussing Forge with my brother this weekend. He is not a forger at all and I asked him what would he need to see added or changed so that he would use it. He told me unless they had a lot of prefab buildings already built and he could just place them where he wanted then he was not interested. No offense to my brother but thats exactly what I hope they do NOT do. I cant stand prefab stuff. And moving the same buildings around to different places on a map is not going to get me excited about it. The new forge needs to be big bold and give us the ability to customize the maps a lot more.

I would like a really long campaign and an updated forge with all of the tings we hav talked about in that thread.

On Discovery and history channel they always have some show on about black holes. They do some rendering of how a black hole would rip every particle apart in your body. I have always envisioned it like that. IT rips life apart at the molecular level.

I think MC should be the only spartan. No one really liked playing as the arbiter or noble 6. I hated even having the rest of noble team around. I can't imagine that there will be covies or any UNSC in Halo 4 at least. MC is going to some unknown world where he is probably going to encounter all new species including allies and enemies. No one even knows where MC is. Why would the UNSC come to his aid. Also I am assuming we will be going back to Halo 3 Shield for the armor. I don't think we are going to see health packets lying around in this unknown world.

I like the idea of a final kill cam just because sometimes your off on another part of the map and suddenly the game is over. If you need a kill cam for halo then you must be a noob who started playing Halo games recently.

Here is something I saw posted in a forge forum on Waypoint. I like most of it so I thought I would share. A stable graphics engine -- one that isn't as prone to frame-rate lag and discoing as Reach's is -- would be wonderful for Forge. It'd allow us to build bigger and more complex maps without having to be paranoid about split-screen performance. Forge objects that are optimized for frame rate (low-poly, less bump-mapping, no dynamic lights attached, etc.) could also help alleviate the problems that Forgers currently face in Reach. The ability to "jump" to an object's spawn location would be useful. Sort of like a Ctrl+F for Forge objects, allowing you to search through your placed objects by type, gametype label, etc., and teleport the camera to each object. This could be used to recover lost objects (i.e. objects wedged into the terrain that weren't audo-deleted; or the vehicles that your friend decided to dump into the ocean, and since he trashed all of them, you can't spawn another to use Delete All Of These on). Few things would be more useful than the ability to group objects and move/edit them as a single unit. Many a Forger has had to relocate complex buildings or even their entire map to improve the map's layout, or prevent lighting/frame-rate bugs. Moving things piece-by-piece is tedious, difficult, and error-prone. Sub-groups would also be nice; that way, if one does need to move, say, a whole map, one would not have to dismantle all existing groups before placing all objects in one group to move. If possible, raising the global object count would be amazing. Right now, even if one stays within budget and per-category limits, there's still a global limit to how many total Forgeable objects can be placed. (In Halo 3, it was 640. In Reach, it seems to be somewhere around 640 or 650.) It may even be wise to eliminate the budget and most of the per-category limits entirely and use only the global object count as a limit (with some obvious exceptions retaining their quantity limits; dynamic lights, for example). Customizable FX would be just awesome. HSV or RGB adjustments (or both, for convenience), with Brightness/Gamma/Contrast sliders as well, would allow people to create a unique feel for their map variants even in spite of everyone using the same basic palette and terrain. If these FX could be scoped to a specific area (and only apply within that area), then so much the better; we could create nighttime maps with lit interiors, for example. Some analogue to map scripting would be useful. Even simple abilities like despawning objects after a certain time, or deleting certain objects when a "trigger" object is touched, would be useful. (Respective use cases: despawning a night filter to show the passing of time; unlocking a door in a puzzle or Infection map.) If we could place configurable vehicles, I'm sure that minigame Forgers could find a use for them. Right now,... uh, certain rulebreakers... can hybridize vehicles, creating (for example) a Falcon whose pilot and gunner seats are all Scorpion turrets. Why not give us similar functionality without having to violate Live's ToS? It'd be neat if we could determine what appears on vehicles, being able to mix and match between plain seats, different kinds of turrets, and other features. If Halo 4 uses radiosity (the lighting system used in every Halo FPS to date), the ability to manually adjust an object's lighting would be useful. This would make it easier to blend objects in with a map's natural geometry and terrain, without having to reposition them because of some random lighting bug

Will Halo 3 be removed from Xbox Live once Halo 4 Launches?
Dean PHD replied to Konshens's topic in Halo 3 + ODST
I actually think they will take it down. The reasoning is to keep the gaming community together. They will want to push everyone to the new game. They are not going to keep making the communities smaller and smaller by adding more MM online. They will probably shut H3 down a few months after H4 launches or maybe even before. Im not saying its what I want at all but from a business standpoint.... I expect H3 to go the way of H2 by Jan of 2013. -
I like it. I downloaded both. I will play it soon.
-
Can't wait. I played the original on PC in college because I didn't have an xbox yet. I got the xbox right before halo 2 came out. Love it.
-
Timberland was a PC only map too. That could be the one they were referring to and not Infinity.
-
they are doing a few changes though with the title update. It was confirmed at the comic con event that the DMR bloom is gone and Fall damage is gone when they were showing MM on the new maps.
-
Can we report other things like stupidly large signature pictures? Sorry Dominatior you know I love you haha.
-
We will have to wait and see. It would be nice if they give us a little hint at halo fest next week.
-
Thats what I liked about H2. It was really long battles with flood and covies. Felt like early versions of firefight. haha
-
Any Idea if they will be able to work with Martin O'Donnell on the music? Part of what I love about halo so much is the epic music that accompanies it.
-
Will you guys be checking signatures too. Some are outlandishly huge any annoying. I am not sure how they uploaded files that large.
