having new dlc for free is never going to happen. people put a lot of time and energy into creating that content after games realse date, it dose not make sense to have that money come out of the games profit for dlc. free will never happen expecialy with microsoft, but cheaper maybe.

I have also read the first two books, but it has been a while. I am looking forward to the last one. dose anyone know its release date? like i said it has been a while so , i don't remember exactly what the conversation between the two was. the thing i find interesting is, that on these forums a lot of people say that the flood was created by precusors. to my knowledge greg bear is the only person that has ever mentioned the precursos, so that has to have come from his books. but my understanding was that 1 the primordial was a gravemind, and it lied to didact.(i belive it said that it was the last precursor) 2. since it lied it is unknow if precursor created the flood or simply had come in contact with it, and trapped there in the staisis bubble. I personly don;t belive that the precursors created the flood. another interesting thing from that series is that there were several graveminds, so eventhough we killed one off in halo 3 is the flood going to come back in halo 5? how would a community or group of graveminds work or communicate, would they get along, do they all share one conciousness, or would the be more like seperate minds? in otherwords would a new grave mind have all the knowedge of the one we killed off? yes ancient humans were quite awsome, i like how there were so many varietys and varients of humanity. did you see any of the terminals from halo 4? some of them have small glipses of ancient humans and their weponry. have you read the karen travers books? thursday war and glasslands. in my opioin gregs books were vary good,but karens might be the best halo books so far! they all tie into halo 4 vary well. as far as the mantle, i think that the master builder was the only one stoping them from upholding it. he made some shady/greedy choises.

Yes I bought a slim 360 about 6 months ago, and it looks very likly that it won't be replaced if what this article says comes to pass.

good points but you are forgetting one. when we first meet the didact he flys out of a ball of energy simialr that of the energy he falls into, so i think it is more likly than not that he is alive.

I am pretty sure that it will be on the new system only, the real question in my mind is weather or not the xbox 720 will be backwards compatible.

i respectfuly disagree, the real reason its not as fun is that the game has been dumbed down for the new players, and the competitve players incentives have been taken away. example having competitive ranking system that teams you with players of simialr skill level, and much weaker weapon and map balance overall.

I personaly feel you watch way to much anchient aliens. people have been upsessed with aliens ever since roswell. I have releitives that worked on those projects, and know for a fact there were no aliens there. thats not to say i don't belive in aliens. i personal think it is far more likly that aliens exist than god dose(personal opinion)! but to say the govenment has been working with the aliens since 1950's is unture! If there are aliens advanced enough to go through such a vast amount of space to find us, they would probably get bord with us rather quickly. any kind of medical testing people think they would do, would probably happen on a very small scale, because they probably did same test on many other creatures on many other planets including their own. again "paranoai paranoai,, everybodies coming to get me" lol! what? by the way my bad for refencing a drug. i in no way promote that drug or any drug and their use(Drugs are bad! video games are good!). was simply trying to say that no matter what the number is, if you look for it you will find it.

this seems like a really bad idea! this will kill stores like Game Stop and EB Games, where used games are a large part of their buissness. it always seemed to me that Game Stop and Microsoft had a good buissness realtionship, but this decicsion seems to indicate otherwise. on top of that both Promethean and Delpen9 made good points. I understand how they could make the bluray disc stop working, but i don't think that it would apply to older games on CDs. that is no garentee that it will be backwards compatible. which if it is not, would make two pretty big mistakes by microsoft! I say if Sony wants to be dumb and eliminate their used game market, it dose not mean that Microsoft needs to be a copy cat. Sony is a dieing company anyway. Its already been through bankruptcy, and has not really recoverd. dose Microsoft really want to follow the marketing stratigy of a bankrupt company!(seems like a bad idea) What about all of the people that only by the game after it super cheap, because they heard mixed reviews? Half of my games came out of the $14.00 bin at game stop. I would not by those games at full price reagardless of how much I like them. The only way i see around that is too make all games cheaper initaly and have them depreiciate much quicker. otherwise there will be a very negitive effect on the game market in general. In the end Promethian is right!, this stinks of greed! I think this decision will come back and bite Microsoft in the backside! unfortunatly that will effect the whole gaming industry in a very bad way.

The Dark Enforcers is a community that has been around for a little over 12 years(we started on pc). we say community instead of clan for a couple of reasons. first we are on multipal platforms(ps3,xbox,pc), second we do not requier any skill level to join, third we do not requier members to be on at certain time(this may change for leadership positions) you are free to play when you want. basicly we are just a large group of people that play together(roughly 350 for halo 4 right now). we do have a few requierments, 1st you MUST be 15 years old or older! 2 you are asked to play the game between 3 and 4 hours a week at minimum (dose not matter when). 3 willing to add other people from the branch you join ( a branch has 100 people in it) to your frineds list.4 must give us an email( if you don't like give us your main email than make a new one) so that we can send you a 10 page packet letting you know our history, rules, ranking structure, and so on. over all we are really laid back compaired to most clans and other communities, and its an enjoyable enviroment. thanks for your consideration!

i would say its eaither a coinsidence or your activly looking for them. pot heads say same thing about 420. really big fans of hitchhickers guides say it about 42. sooo......

the credits from reach and spartan rank from h4 are similar to the exp awarded in h3, but what they both lack and has caused a lot of dissapointment in the community is the lack of true skill system as well. they should set it up as close to h3 as possible. i would be ok with exp being used to purcase armor like reach though. if your going to get it from doing multiplayer anyway, achievemnts are harder than just playing a game. and you think people don't want to play war games? i garentee most people only buy halo for the multiplayer. if you are getting destroyed then you need to improve you own skill level. no dlc should be included! i repete dlc achievments should be included. i am so so close. only missing two, both in h4. at least untill other two map pack realeased. but i will do it, and it would be nice to get sometype of reward!

now for my wants and opinions: 1. all weapons that appeared in all other halo games. unsc magnum (h1 and h3 basicly the same),and silenced magnum from odst smg (h2 and h3 basicly the same), and silenced one from odst brute shot sniper beam rifle mauler shotgun plasma pistol needler bianary rifle storm rifle plasma rifle(1 red like h2, one blue like h2,and one like reach) so on and so forth, I do mean ALL of them, which dose mean dual weilding! but they must be carefully balanced! 2.ALL vehicals that apperead in other halo games (including those from halo wars) some drivable ie vampire hornet, others not scarab. 3. all races from other games! none of them have gone exstinct so.....do not nessiarily have to be in multiplayer(elites should be though) should be in campaign and spartan ops and firefight. 4.all play lists from other halo games and a racing playlist(both team race like rocket race, and free for all races) 5. better forge mode(even better than reaches, not worse like h4's) 6.theater mode viewable by more than one person at a time(only one has control over what is seen though), and theater for spartan ops, firefight, and campaign. 7.story line follow other halo games and books everything canon (except reach because of contradictions) 8. a lot more remakes of maps(keep them as true to the originals as possible),expecally the maps from h2 because h2 maps had best playability and design(maps from reach and h4 seem to lack a certin balance the others had), basicly i would like them to keep the things that made halo "halo". and add to them rather than picking and choosing some and leaving others out.

1 i agree 3rd person view would ruin halo(allow you to check for campers,while camping is cheap this would be cheaper yet) 2. arby in h5 make sense if you have read glasslands, and sweet. 3.i disagree dual weilding was part of other halo games and when done right it dose not unbalance the game. 4.spartan ops similar but not the same as firefight, firefight seems more defensive in nature, while spartan ops is more offensive objecitves, also spartan ops dose not have enough enemies on the map at one time when compaird to odst and reach.i really feel they should have both spartan ops and firefight.

no not water hog, a boat would need a new name. maybe jet sky type vehical called eel, or boat called shark or baracooda, water buffalo, hippo, something like that.

nice topic title.lol i would have probably entitled it hi or im new. yes boltshot is too powerful, and br is to weak(it dose the right amount of damage, but is not as accurate or fast as dmr) lots of people want dmr nerfed, but i would rather see br range and speed incresed to make br equal to dmr.

First of all you posted this in a halo community, so opinions are going to be bias, also i have not played and of MGS games(and probably will not) that being said 1.as someone else stated cheif has 500 or 600 hundred years of technilagical advances, so if they did live in the same universe cheifs active camo would be better! 2 snake dose not have radar. 3. someone else said that all unsc weapons have armor peircing rounds, which is true, so snake would not have advatage there. 4. op said nothing about zeke, but seeing some discriptions zeke seems to be an op mantis controled by an ai dumber than cortana, so cheif would not need infinity(way overkill snake and zeke could not fight infinity even if cheif were not there, hell i don't think cheif could win againts infinity for that matter, way to overkill to even mention infinity), so if snake gets zeke then cheif get a cortana controlled mantis with mac instead of machinegun turret. but seeing as how cheif has killed several scarab's without a mantis, cheif would win aginst snake even without the mantis. 5. if snake just went invis then stood perfectly still(really that was your point) has anyone ever won a fight standing perfectly still other than gandi, and that was a different type of win. so to be still in combat make you punching bag, and extremely bad tactic. 6. you also started to bring in a bunch of other people from MGS and said they would beat up cheif in a week. well if it took them(a team a week to beat) 1 person then thay cant be that good in the first place, and its an uneven fight. so if you bring them in lets give cheif, linda , kelly, and fred. 7. as far as snake winning in jungle setting i still really doubt it, begining of h3 was jungle and cheif did not have any problems on legendary(at least when i control him 0 deaths level one on legendary!) 8. cheif has better tactics hands down. he was trained from the age of 6. it would be like compairing chuck noris to tony jaw, ya chuck can be bad *** with hollywoods help, but tony jaw(i may be misspelling his last name) would win every time in a real fight!

I really really doubt they are going to retire master cheif, 1 343 just started to try to develop his personality it dose not make sense that they would just start and then all the sudden have to start over again with a new character. 2. halo games revolve around master cheif just like starwars(the originals) revolve around luke. i just would not make sense to get rid of the main character expecialy when he is the fan favorite. also many genreals have a much longer military careers.

thats only 1 though, you could say the ark would make 2. both greek and norse mythology have way more references so far.

an ok idea, i want to see more space combat in vehicals in multiplayer, like starwars battlefront 2,but way better.
