Ban MORE people above you for no apparent reason!
BATMAN replied to Axilus Prime's topic in General Discussion
B& 4 lack of deez nuts. -
I agree, as colorblind modes really help out; Even I use them sometimes because the color options suit me better than Red/Blue and Red/Yellow. Also, it's an easy way to mess with someone when they get up to go to the bathroom.. But that's just my sense of humor. Now they take the controller with them there. Also, just something small really quick, it's a motion tracker, not radar-- and yes, it needs a wider range. Definitely needs a wider range.

Negative. I taught my girlfriend how to play Halo. I taught my brother-in-law how to play Halo. I taught my sisters how to play Halo. All of that was only accomplished through split-screen, and I don't think 60fps is worth that kind of damage. I miss being able to play Halo with my girlie, her sitting right next to me; I miss being able to play "Couple's Night" with my sister and brother-in-law on one console, my girlie and I on the other. We had so much fun doing that, and now that split-screen is completely out of the picture, those nights are gone. Yeah, I could buy another TV, Xbone, copy of H5, but that's not going to be the same. It'll never be the same. Sure, claim it's a lame excuse for "bonding," but it was the most fun I've ever had while being completely depressed.. a welcome distraction from intrusive thoughts, spiteful attitudes, and hatred harboring. Playing with my family was able to make me laugh when I only wanted to cry. /sobstory /kthxbai

What should I change Jack's name to?
BATMAN replied to Caboose The Ace's topic in General Discussion
Literally Fifty Hitlers. -
Kinda sad that you bought a game without doing the necessary research before actually putting the money down. Then again, I doubt a lot of people bothered to do any sleuthing before buying Halo 5 because Halo tried to be something different until recently. Of course, with the changes of Halo 4, you'd think people would want to know more about something before they bought it. Bluntly, everybody's known about the lack of split-screen for quite a long while before the game was released. The game basically went gold right after we found out. That being said, we're only a community forum. Sure, Xbox Support, yadda yadda yadda, yeah, we're just a group of fans that got together in hopes of possibly gaming with each other. The official forums can be found at Halo Waypoint. And excuse my harsh nature, but after you read enough of these threads, they either get hilarious, or deeply disappointing. I agree. I despise the lack of split-screen. I downright hate it. I miss being able to play with my girlie on one screen, going through the campaign or figuring out the new multiplayer mechanics together. Of course, this is the age of Xbone, where video games get released as a broken slab of slag and get day-one updates. Sadly, this is what the industry has turned to. Disappointing fans for a fat profit. Mix every other AAA title together and you'll make some bank. It's way too disappointing, but people that would like to see the best out of a company. Of course, this kind of thinking that makes everyone look foolish. We appreciate the opinion and the feedback; Hopefully, you'll stick around for something other than hatred of Halo 5. Maybe 343i can actually fix it before everyone decides to abandon it.

Okay, I'll be devil's advocate here, "given a full refund?" Really? You bought a game in the AAA gaming trend where games are broken on release, given a day-1 update, and still have further unforseen issues... And you want a full refund? There's a quote I like to live by, "If you don't like the culture, don't buy into it." I don't see where you feel justified -- or more accurately, entitled -- to be given your hard-earned money back for a product that has more than likely been given more man hours to produce, from concept to going gold, than you ever took in debating to purchase. This is another reason it took me so long to start interacting more onsite aside from the shoutbox, people's broken reasoning happens to make whatever I have to say cold, calculated, and callous. In case you haven't read the banner, we're a community forum. The only power we have is being a collective voice, on the internet of all places.

Oh, I miss Custom Edition... I barely knew what I was doing, but playing a modded/custom map was just a spectacular feeling. Coldsnap and Hugea++ were just mindblowing in my young age, and fueled a fire for me to figure out how to get my own visions created... Then Halo Reach came out and for some reason, that feeling just died like a stone dropped into the ocean. But, I haven't had as big of a heart throb for Halo 2, so I guess the point is moot.. Especially considering Twin's appearance in the thread.

H2V meaning Halo 2 Vista? Just making sure..
-
That needler, though. That would hurt to get slapped with. Perfect for home defense!
-
I know that feeling. Here I am, doing my thing and whatnot; If I have to backpedal to escape, a teammate's conveniently blocking my path. If an enemy shows up, conveniently positioned teammate charges out, so it's either teamkill and hopefully kill the enemy as well, or hold my fire and watch all of us get killed by one guy. It's happened to me so many times that I just try to avoid being in a group (and in games like Battlefield, I just teamkill if they get in my way because I can revive them afterwards).

Similar to what Bungie did in Halo 3? Yeah, it wasn't a bad idea; But a lot of the maps sucked. I'd like to see it return, as well.
-
It'd be nice to have a map voting system, but I'm pretty sure I'd never get to play the maps I love. That, or we'll always be playing one nap, one gametype because it's "so much more competitive" than the other maps.

I like the AR/Pistol starts. Rather than being like Halo 4 where the only sound I heard until I had a ringing migraine was the TIK-TIK-TIKKATIK of the BR, I can actually listen to something that won't make me want to shove pencils into my ears to avoid hearing it ever again. The gameplay is way different from Halo 4 and takes a while to adjust to. I can kind of understand why people would rather say "This is garbage" than actually adapt to a different play style, but I will admit that it doesn't really feel like a Halo game. There's a lot of clanking when it comes to movement, the guns look kinda weird from first person, and ADS (oh, I'm sorry, "smart scope") just doesn't belong in Halo. Overall, I want to have a day free enough to get a really good taste of H5.

I love the grammar on all these hate threads. I'm just waiting for somebody to bring up the garbage that was Halo 2 so I can laugh even harder. /hadto /askingforit /stillnot

Well, at least this is an entertaining thread. And yeah, multiplayer has changed a lot. You should look into things before you start funny threads like this.

Welcome to the forums! Hope you enjoy your stay

Stronghold? Is that like Territories? Basically, the way I see it, Territories was all about who was the best camper in a specific spot on the map. Stronghold, however to me, doesn't really ring a bell. Guess I shoulda played more Action Sack or something.

Trading a Digitak Copy of Halo 5 for Physical Copy
BATMAN replied to Ms X's topic in Halo 5: Guardians
I believe the digital for physical trade-in deadline has already passed, so I'm sorry to tell you that I'm pretty sure you're out of luck. Maybe you've got a friend willing to trade with you instead? I doubt any retailer would be willing to accept the offer for a quick swap; Again, sorry to break the news to you. -
Yes, a lot of people are upset about the lack of splitscreen. A lot of people are really upset about the changes made to Halo from 3 to 5. However, I do have to be the Devil's Advocate, here... We're not the official 343i forums. We're a community. The official 343i forums can be found on Waypoint, I'm sure you can Google it. Honestly, I'd love to play the campaign with my girlie on splitscreen, but that's no longer an option anymore. Same thing as to Forge, and having to wait for December for it to come out. Hey, I hate Day-One updates and not being able to enjoy a full game as soon as it's released (then again, with Xbone, you have to install the games/updates before you can play them, which I hate), let alone having to deal with some company wishing to give us a product that's messed up beyond belief and thinking a small "token of gratitude" will satisfy our grief-stricken minds.
-
Quite a hefty argument there, but I'd hate to tell you that your rage has been misplaced onto a community forum. The official forums are called Waypoint. And hey, AAA gaming has reached the point of Day One Updates; Back when Halo started, games would crash and burn because nobody would stand for it. Honestly, I consider it disgusting, but there's nothing we can do about big business without having a bucket of dedicated supporters willing to follow through. .. Not gonna happen any time soon. I'm used to having a 70 hour work week, so I know what it's like to have free time wasted.
