I'd hate to tell you, but the tendrils of capitalism have already strangled the life out of any respect and honor that the United States would've had to begin with. The world, even.
We have no ties with 343i (I'm beginning to think we should probably change the name of the website at this point), they're found on Waypoint.
While I agree with you, I'm also disheartened to say that there's nothing we can do about it now. The gaming industry has become so used to ripping people off that they could sell a pile of fecal matter and garbage with the line "may include a game," and still make enough profit to release basically the same thing for 20 dollars more. It's disgusting. I hate how the video game industry has evolved, but there's nothing we can do. Sure, boycott, but that doesn't mean the problem will stop. Sure, vandalize, but is jail time really worth it? It's pathetic how far we've come. I've already lost faith in humanity, and I'm truly deeply sorry for those that do; But I'm more apologetic for those that understand just how bad things have gone with "evolution in gaming."
I'm sick of the pre-ordering crap, I'm sick of exclusives, I'm sick of DLC, I'm sick of Day-One Updates.
I'd rather have a AAA game title launch with only a couple bugs. Rather than advertize a whole slew of DLC content, include it in the game and come up with something later. Rather than be solely on one console, be on all consoles. Rather than give some special little doohickey to someone willing to dish out twice of the game's price (and most likely four times its actual value), just leave the game at 60 bucks and give me my damned money's worth.
But that's not going to happen. Not in a capitalist society.
