I disagree. I think it's much better when you have to be accurate with your aiming AND have to pace your shots properly. Without any bloom, it's just as simple as aiming and spamming the trigger. Sure that may make it faster paced, but it doesn't [ersonally seem like a good idea for it to be made into a matchmaking thing. Maybe if they offered ZB and TU SWAT, then it'd be okay.

Blue. Would you rather eat an apple or a banana?

Android? I dunno. I'm not too knowledgeable when it comes to making that kind of decision. Would you rather have a Sega Genesis/Megadrive or Super Nintendo Entertainment System?

I can't wait to download this. There's so much good stuff in this update.

I can't speak for anyone else in this thread, but I wouldn't ever want to see those ideas you just posted in a Halo game. Ever.

It does when you compare sales figures.

Please read around the forums before you create a topic. This belongs within the Halo 4 section, not the 343industries section. This is also not the official site for 343industries. This is a community website. If you'd like to try to get in contact with them, please visit the link below. It could simply be a lighthearted joke. The Master Chief leading in "score" or what have you by 117 (also his ID). It could be as simple as that.

Back before the TU, I really wished they had reduced the melee damage to 75 or 50%. It does seem a bit strong at times, so I would also like to see it decreased now. If we really want something like this changed, we should really be vocal about it though. They're not going to listen to just a few complaints about it here and there.

There is already a thread on this. There was no need to create another topic about it, especially one with such a similar name. If you'd like to give your thoughts on this subject, please post in the thread below. We do not need multiple threads that serve the exact same purpose. This is also in the wrong section of the forums, if I might add. http://www.343indust...ties-in-halo-4/

Excuse me? I can and have adapted to change. But you don't seem to get the actual problem with double melee. The person who sprints towards the shooter usually ends up meleeing first, so by the time the shooter's melee cools off from countering, the sprinter can already melee again for the kill. The only way for the shooter to really have a chance is to waste time shooting the spirinter as they're in close proximity and hope that their shields pop so that they can get a quick melee in before the sprinter has time to hit twice. Having bleed-through gets rid of the ridiculous double-melee situation. If someone wants to try sprinting at me to try killing me with two melees, they'd better be careful. Now instead of being able to get a cheap kill with little to no consequence, they're mostly just risking their own life. If they want to sprint towards me and attempt to just beat me down, they've got another thing coming. It's not going to work anymore. Implementing the system from previous games was a smart choice in my eyes, plus the AR is now useful! You know what's funny? Some of those, you included, who told others to adapt to change when Reach came out are the same ones complaining about the TU now. What's the problem? Can YOU not adapt to change? Yes, we're reverting the melee system back to Halo 3's style. Do you know why? Because it works better than the system implemented in vanilla Reach.

The population is growing BECAUSE of the title update. The TU, from what I remember, released or was being released around the time Anniversary hit. Because of the changes 343i has implemented to Reach with the TU, more players are coming to it/coming back to play it again. That means that those who disliked Reach from the beginning, or those who couldn't stand it after a certain period are now coming back because they apparently like the changes that were made. I personally think the changes have been for the better. They've fixed the problem with the bloom on precision weapons, they've made some important changes to armour lock, they've fixed the double melee issue, reduced active camos overall length, etc. These changes have been received well by those who disliked vanilla Reach, which is clearly seen by the increase in the overall population. I swear I've seen Reach's population in the 100k area ever since the update. I rarely, if ever, saw Reach's population anywhere close to that pre-TU.

If it is for the first time, it should only be for maybe 24 hours. -
I think it was pretty good. It has one of my favourite campaigns in Halo franchise. I'd put it right up there with Combat Evolved, Wars, and Reach. I enjoyed the characters, the atmosphere, and especially the music. I thought those things in ODST were/are some of the best in the Halo series so far. At least in the games.

I never said they didn't make changes to the playlists, didn't do any contests, etc. I specifically said that they didn't make any changes based off of complaints of bloom, double meleeing, armour lock, etc. I wasn't as clear as I could have been in my previous post, but please do not misunderstand what I meant. I could have been more clear, more precise, but it was the early morning and I was tired. Again, I never said they didn't make ANY changes, nor did I say they didn't make any changes to the playlists. Whether or not they were able to change the gameplay elements that people had issue with is not the point I'm trying to make. The point I'm making is that 343i did what Bungie did not and/or could not do to address the complaints with the gameplay. Bungie cares about their fans, and they did do things. I never meant to imply that they did not. However I never noticed them addressing the issues with the gameplay that fans had. Whether or not that's due to me not seeing their posts on the subject or not, I don't know. The least they could have done, if they did not, was let their fans know that they were unable to do anything about said complaints due to the transferring of control of Reach from their hands to those of 343i. (Or for whatever reason that there may have been, if any.) That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
No, Bungie did not listen. People complained about the bloom, the double-meleeing, etc. Bungie never listened or bothered to do anything about their complaints. Whether or not they were able to, I don't know. The fact of the matter is that people had complaints and were vocal about said complaints. Bungie never did anything to solve them. 343 industries has given the fans what they asked for in regards to Reach. Bungie did nothing but change/update playlists. They never looked at the complaints on how the game worked/played and actually did anything about it.

Um...no, it's not. The TU has caused Reach's population to actually grow, whether you like it or not. The Title Update is fantastic in my eyes. It's fixed the problem with the bloom on precision weapons, modified a few things about armour lock that were a bit bothersome, solved the double melee issue, removed the unneeded sword block, etc. I love it It's been removed from slayer gametypes as far as I know. Though if they have it in slayer, it's not really an issue due to the nerfs. Bloom is still in the game with the Title Update, it's just been fine tuned to reward those who pace more often than those who spam now. Bleed-through doesn't suck. You know what sucks/sucked? Double meleeing. It was an issue, and bleed-through has solved it. Do you not realise that the plasma pistol um...it's supposed to be good against shields? If you shoot someone with a plasma based weapon, their shields go down a lot quicker than with any human weapon. That's not silly, nor does it suck.

I guess I'll vote no, seeing as how they CAN'T update the armoury. If they were to add new armour or effects, we'd have to download every single map over again. That'd take up gigs of hard drive space if they did so, so it's not really feasible. No. I would and won't ever support removing the non-preordered version of the recon helmet. They couldn't even really do so anyway. You're acting pretty immature if I may say. Just because you pre-ordered the game does not mean that those who rank up and purchase the helmet do not deserve it. In my opinion, they deserve it more for their hard work and dedication to the game, where as those who pre-ordered simply get it for purchasing the game before it was released. You're acting rather silly with your "Bungie>343i" statement. So far we've not had enough to really judge 343i besides Anniversary and updates to Reach, though both of those have given me great faith in them so far. 343 has listened to the fans and their complaints about the gameplay and addressed them, Bungie never really did that. Your "opinion" that all who wear the recon helmet being jealous of those who got it by pre-ordering is rather silly and immature, so yea. You need to grow up and stop acting so foolish.

AFK is an initialism for "Away from keyboard". Some use it, while others use AFC (Away from console). An AFK/AFCer is someone who is away from their computer/console (in this case console) during a match, and isn't playing. They're doing something else and not contributing to the game in any positive way. They can cost a team the victory, or eat up the lives pool in Firefight games. The banhammer apparently can't seem to differentiate between a terrible player and someone who is AFK/AFC. Getting a score of 0 (maybe even just a few kills) and dying a lot might result in the person being mistakingly banned for "AFK/AFCing". Since the banhammer can't seem to tell if someone is not playing or just being a terrible player, I'd recommend just practicing in custom games/Firefight until you can really get a hang of the game. You'll be able to play with your family all you want, and not have to worry about being banned. You can also invite any friends who play the game to the matches and have fun with them as well. Heck, I'll gladly play with you all if you decide to do this. I know that you'd probably like to play matchmaking, but because of what I stated above, I'd recommend playing customs and/or Firefight until you can learn to really hold your own and such. I really hope this helped! -
should they have have gold guns i n halo 4 pre order?
CandiBunni replied to Hunterex12's topic in Halo 4
That's not really a flaw of Bungie, just a decision that you don't happen to agree with. I personally think that having the feet be the secondary colour is pretty nice. If they didn't have that, then the secondary colour wouldn't see much use besides being the colour for the shoulders. Also, how does Reach have poor options when customising the colours? As far as I know, it has the same amount (or at least a very close amount) of colours, and very similar options. -

CandiBunni replied to Hunterex12's topic in Halo 4
No, Halo should not have golden guns. I would prefer each weapon to have a very distinct look/colour palette. Providing different skins for different weapons, especially gold ones, just seems like a silly, useless idea. Sure it may offer some customisation, but that customisation is extremely shallow in my eyes. I would rather they spend the time and effort in a more important area, rather than use the budget to give us a few different weapon skins. They could use that money for armour customisation if anything. -
Armour abilities are not like perks. Perks are serious game changers that you can equip at least three of. They do things like allowing you to reload faster, sprint longer, appear invisible to the radar, etc. You don't get anything like that with the armour abilities in Reach. The only way they may be similar is that they're an extra ability. That's it. Even then, that's like comparing a game like WET to Mass Effect or Gears of War because they're third person shooters. Sure the very very base may be a similar idea, but what they add to that/what they layer on is different. You may only choose one, and may only use it for a certain amount of time before it needs to recharge. Perks in COD are constant, and as I said, you can have up to three being active at any given time. There are only a few handful of AAs in Reach, and everyone may choose the exact same ones when they play the game. In COD, you unlock them by ranking up, and by doing so you unlock stronger variants of them. I never said your entire argument was invalid. I merely stated that the comparison of Reach to COD is not valid, because the two games have completely different play styles. The comparison of AAs to Perks is also rather silly, seeing as how the two aren't alike in any significant way. The bases are similar IN A WAY, but that's it.

I stopped reading as soon as you called Reach a futuristic Call of Duty. Reach and COD play nothing alike. That argument is not valid.
