  1. So I guess none of the other armour abilities, nor the weapons introduced in Reach take any skill as well because they weren't in Halo 1 - 3? It wasn't in the previous games because maybe they hadn't thought of the idea yet. They also might not have been able to implement it in previous games. Armour lock hardly saves someone from dying. If you can't defeat an armour locker, it's your own fault. Armour lock can and has been used in skillful ways.
  2. So they're stand alone games simply because you didn't like them? Yea, whatever. Halo 2's online was terrible. It was full of glitches, modders, problems/advantages of being the host, terrible amounts of aim assist/bullet magnetism, overpowered grenades, etc. I don't see what's so great about all of that. How is bloom a joke, by the way?
  3. You might be holding it too long. Just press the bumper or whatever you use like you would the A or X button. Just a quick, small tap should be fine.
  4. If they do remake it, maybe they'll polish it up enough for it to be a good game. As it is now, it's just decent. I personally wouldn't care for a remake of Halo 2.
  5. If you just tap the melee button, it shouldn't perform an assassination. You've got to actually hold it down in order to actually assassinate someone.
  6. I'm not. At least, not for the first few play-throughs on the map.
  7. I'm getting a bit sick of you accusing everyone who likes bloom of loving and playing Call of Duty. COD was not and is not the only FPS to use an expanding crosshair. If you payed attention to that video, you'd see that there is indeed bloom still on the assault rifle. I know that it is just for the classic playlist and not the full game, I never said otherwise. I do not play Call of Duty, so why don't you stop accusing people who enjoy bloom and don't have a problem with it of playing it? Hm? Just a thought. It's getting pretty annoying seeing you spout that over and over. There's nothing wrong with bloom. STOP using bloom and spread like they're the same exact thing. They are two completely different things, and you can NOT switch them around whenever you please. Bloom is not spread, and spread is not bloom. Get this in your heads and quit acting like they're interchangeable.
  8. -facepalm- It's not. I still prefer the original trailer to this one.
  9. What exactly do you mean having your bullets "blooming"? Do you mean spreading? That's what they're doing. Bullet spread is something that needs to be in an FPS. If it isn't, all you have to do is hold down the trigger, or keep pressing it as fast as you can. That means you don't have to worry about being accurate. It gives people the ability to just point and shoot, without having to worry about any sort of accuracy. If you don't like your bullets spreading (which is what I'm assuming you meant), deal with it. It's in nearly every single FPS, including every Halo game (excluding Halo Wars). The bloom feature of Reach has absolutely no effect on the spread of your shots. That is bullet spread. How is he being a retard? Using that as an insult without providing any real reasons makes YOU look like the retard, sir. You pulled out a random number there, by the way. You've got no way to tell that 90% of the Reach community does not like bloom, so don't pretend that you do.
  10. Wrong. Go into Halo: CE and hold down the trigger with the magnum or assault rifle. You will see your bullets will spread around. Bullet spread (not bloom) has been in every single Halo title. I also don't know why you had "Don't play halo if you don't want new features" in your reply. I never said that. I also said bullet spread, not gun spread. Bullet spread and Bloom are two separate things. Twinreaper has also explained this in detail. I can not see how people like you fail to understand this and get it into your heads. Why don't you all read what I and Reaper have said, and stop acting like spread and bloom are the same thing. They are not. They are two different things.
  11. Grow up. Just because someone likes bloom and doesn't see anything wrong with it, doesn't mean they enjoy or play COD. A lot of other shooters use crosshair expansion. It is used to easily show you that your shots are becoming inaccurate the longer or quicker you fire your weapon. A lot of people don't seem to know what bloom is. Bloom is nothing, and I mean nothing but the expanding of the crosshairs. It serves no other purpose than to show you the range in which your bullets are going to hit. Bullet spread causes your shots to be inaccurate, and is the reason they spread apart. Bloom does not cause this. There isn't anything wrong with bloom. Some people just seem to want their crosshairs to remain the same size no matter how long or how quickly they fire. They also probably don't realize that the expanding of the crosshairs has no real effect on the weapons, at all.
  12. I highly doubt they're adding new weapons. All I've seen them adding is melee bleed-thru and the elimination of DMR bloom. Those two things are also most likely not going to be anything for than classic playlist changes, or options to toggle on and off. Removing the DMR bloom shouldn't affect the actual spread of the weapon (unless they're also adjusting it's spread as well), and melee bleed-thru is going to encourage people to melee more than they already do.
  13. You still walked pretty slowly in Halo 2. This thread smells of people who can't accept any sort of change, and want the entire series to remain the same as it has been. Halo needs to evolve. It needs to change. Playing the exact same kind of gameplay for every game gets boring... You can all complain about COD being the exact same game each time, but here you are wanting Halo to remain the same. I want to see bloom returning in Halo 4. (Bloom is just the expanding of the crosshairs, that's it...) I want armour abilities as well. They spice up the gameplay, and keep things exciting and fresh for me. There need to be more features for Halo 4. The core gameplay can remain the same, but it should not play exactly like previous titles. We need something new. Reach only changed things a teeny tiny bit, and people have gone crazy about that. Get used to change, and stop asking for the same exact game.
  14. They aren't completely removing bloom. What a lot of you people fail to realize is that bloom is not the reason you have to pace your shots. Bullet spread is the reason you have to pace. Bloom is nothing more than the expanding of your crosshairs. That is all bloom is. Bloom only shows you the area in which your bullets will hit, based on how big or small the crosshairs are. When you see your bullets spreading out, that's not bloom; that's bullet spread. You've seen in other games how the crosshairs expand when someone shoots. It's the same thing for Reach. That crosshair expanding doesn't make the bullets spread out and become inaccurate. Bullet spread causes this. Even if they were to completely remove bloom, the guns would function exactly the same. Pardon me if this whole thing is typed out a bit crudely, but I'm in a bit of a rush right now.
  15. I'd rather not have to fight a lot of flood. They've got to be the most boring enemy to fight in the entire series. They were nice in "343 Guilty Spark", but "The Library" just made them completely boring. Having to fight nothing but flood for an entire level was boring. I'd rather not have to do it for an entire game.
  16. The first video game that I remember playing (and owning) was Gex: Enter the Gecko. I'm sure I played a few games before that, but it's the one I can really remember playing quite a bit when I was younger.
  17. I beg to differ. I can play Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach over and over and not get bored of the campaigns. I can hardly make it past the first few levels of Halo 2 and Halo 3 without getting bored. To each their own I suppose..
  18. Fixed. There is still Bloom. You can clearly see it on the Assault Rifle. The DMR however, seems to be missing Bloom.
  19. This. I wish people would get this through their heads...seriously.
  20. I don't remember fall damage being gone. Could you please link me to something where that was shown or stated?
