Why do other playlists get community made maps but not invasion? i understand that its hard to balance invasion maps but im sure somone has pulled it off. anyway we can just create simple maps that are easier to balance. i just think we need more variety because breakpoint only comes once in a blue moon. even if the map was as simple as capturing bases on a flat plane we need more maps. also we need invasion maps that utilize the revenant and the mongoose. i notice that their is not a single invasion map with those vehicles even though they would be usefull. and why no plasma rifles? community made invasion maps would be cool because you could do neat stuff like start it off as an air battle where one side has to attack a floating platform (ship) with banshees while the others defend with falcons and turrents. then when that point gets captured it can escalate to a all out ground battle with warthogs and ghosts aplenty. then the 3rd round will be tank wars and whatnot. this would be pretty complex but simple invasion maps would work too, we just need more maps

GETTING LUCKY????? I NEVER FAIL HAHAHA i find that mlg guys arent as good at the game as they say they are. they cant even handle motion trackers or bloom. i say that makes them ****ty at halo

you have some good points. however i still think its stupid. i have been playing halo deathmatch since halo1 and even with armour lock it still feels like halo. in fact i think it feels more like halo. its how it always should have been. bloom and AA are a step forward. i think the REEL reason people hate bloom and AA is because they are changes, and people now days are resistant to change no matter how good it is. i say you guys grow up and see a good thing for what it is. this says more about society then it does halo fans. its like when your mom wants to re arrange your room. you get home from school and everything is switched around and you cant find anything so you call your mom a *****...but then after an hour you get used to it and realise that the change is better....i guess i was fortunate enough to ease into the changes of reach. i saw halo3 as flawed and when i played reach in the beta i fell in love. but i guess at the end of the day its all opinion....

the dmr will be so overpowered now. as long as they dont change invasion at all i wont break my xbox, snap my reach disk, and hunt down whoever is responsible and feed them their own genitals.

SOMEONE PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD! this thread has spawned all the good debate that it ever will. any new posts will just be flame im sure...we have had some good debate and also we have seen that most people have no valid evidence against bloom...when we ask people why they hate bloom they give heated opinions and biased observations but no facts have been presented....the only one throwing around facts is twin reaper and he is getting hated on simply for telling the truth so i say we lock this thread and move on! thanks to all who have voted and given your opinion..i can now see from your shoes why you all hate bloom...i dont agree with you and i think your kinda thick but atleast i can see where you guys are coming from.....cheers!

I dont see the problem you noobs have with bloom....you want to not have to keep track of your guns recoil? whats next you ganna remove recoil? the dmr bloom is fine and it was worse in the beta yet still fine. i enjoyed it in the beta and in the final release they tweaked it so that you can fire much faster. i dont see why you complain, just because you lack the skill to time your shots. if you want to spam the trigger them go play call of duty. halo is a hardcore game like counter strike. and hardcore games have bloom. in real life if you spam the trigger you wont hit crap...yet in reach if you spam the trigger even with bloom you can still hit stuff decently because you are a spartan. if you hate bloom so much why dont you try crouching. it makes it easier to hit people. they shouldn't remove bloom just for the noobs who cant aim or time their shots. I dont even notice the bloom because i am synched with my dmr. if you remove bloom then the dmr is broken. the battle rifle was origionally going to be semi auto like the dmr but they had to make it 3 shot burst because people would just spam the trigger and get kills in under two seconds. It was so overpowered they considered removing the BR completly, but by making it 3 round burst you had to wait before fireing another burst. the bloom fixed that problem in the same way. sure you can spam the trigger but it is not overpowered because you wont hit anything. Personally i dont want to get killed in 5 rapid shots from across the map and i dont think you do either. Bloom keeps the DMR from being a super overpowered spawn killing machine. Please 343 keep the bloom in the game. its what bungie would have wanted. -

no twas not easy...belive it or not i never even use paint programs. That was like the second time i used ms paint and i was able to produce a decent pic....The HUD took the longest. Mostly i draw with pencils but i have messed with photoshop for a short time...I am going to make another pic, but this time it will look so good that people will believe it is really a screenshot. trolling with art is fun lol -

new leaked screenshot showcases the yet unannounced cellshaded mode for halo CE anniversary. you tap the back button for classic mode...but if you hold the back button it switches to cell shaded mode -
Anyone remember invasion in the beta? the spartans would spawn with their armour different shades of green and the elites purple and red like in sp. This made alot of sense because the whole point of invasion is to simulate an all out battle between elites and spartans. this is why the gametype has such a heavy use of armour abilities, vehicles, and power weapons. Red vs blue works good for identifying your team and the enemy team in slayer but its unnessesary in invasion because you are either fighting aliens or humans so its easy to id targets no matter what side you are on, no matter what color they are. its not like this would be a hard thing to implement because like i said this is how it was in the beta and it worked just fine. Even if spartans and elites where the same color it would be easy to tell who is enemy and who is not. not only does it prevent immersion breaking but it makes the spartans and elites look real cool..red and blue armour looks like plastic and has no place in invasion. Please 343 do this small change and make invasion immersive again...bungie dropped the ball. the beta was almost perfect and then the game comes out and invasion was red vs. blue like all the other gametypes but for no good reason. invasion is chaos and IMO is where true spartans go to play. yea i figure it could be done by a small dedicated team at bungie kinda like odst...they might have some people to spare since they are likely in the pre production stage of their new franchise. too bad they no longer have any rights to halo. I think an expansion like this would give you a realy cool perspective on the battle of reach and if they actually did some voice acting it would be even better...it still would be cool without voice overs tho they could talk in the alien languages that we saw in reach....i think it would add some neat gameplay and story to halo reach and increase its lifespan aswell. and since bungie killed off most of noble team they would be fightable even if it was just quick time events or melee spam to kill them it would be neat...they could do it like odst, you could play in the boots of different skilled elites throughout the story.

it would be better to tweek it like it would throw bursts that would knock close enemys back but only damage their sheild slightly. and instead of AL making u invinsible/immobile it would make you slow but give you an oversheild....it can still have the cool particle effect

spoiler alert!....ok heres my idea for some single player dlc for reach. i know that bungie wont make it but its a good idea anyway. it would be short kinda like odst but meyb shorter...i would say 800 ms points for 4 missions or meyb 1600 points for 7 or 8 missions. i have read peoples ideas for singleplayer dlc and most of them want somthing like noble teams backstory or the battle of reach from the perspective of master cheif, odst's ,or other spartans. that would be great but i have an idea that i think would be even better. the battle of reach from the perspective of the elite zealot team that noble encounters throughout the game. the gameplay would be fairly simular the only differences would be that you will be fighting marines odst's and spartans. the main goal of the dlc would be to give the player the full experiance of fighting as the pointman of a squad of highly trained elites. the zealots sheilds will have to be nerfed for the sake of gameplay but imagine storming a spartan base with your squad of cloaked zealots. energy swords drawn you pick up a spartan with one arm and impale him with the other then uncloak and fry the rest of them with duel plasma rifles. their could even be a space battle where you fly either a seriph or space banshees shooting down sabres and destroying some frigates. i remember how awsome it was in halo2 playing as the arbiter cloaking and sneaking your way through entire levels assassinating everyone in your path. and even now when i go back to play halo2 on legendary the arbiter missions are really the only ones i find fun anymore. people complained about the arbiter missions when halo2 was first released yet they seem to be the only missions that have passed the test of time. just imagine storming new alexadria in an anti air wraith oblitorating scorpians and warthogs. the puny humans defend their city with hundreds of troops but they dont stand a chance against the spec ops elites. send in your grunts and watch as the puny runts die one by one. their sacrifice revealing to you the position of a spartan sniper in a distant building. this idea has the potential for some good gameplay and honestly if i had some dev tools and a modded xbox i would make it myself. the only hard part would be balancing the gameplay but it wouldnt be that hard. the spartans could use the elites AI just modified slightly to make them less aggro and more tactical. they did it with odst and that worked quite well so if they can make an odst game on the same engine as halo3 i dont see why it would be all that difficult to make an elite expansion with the reach engine. a small passionate team could pull it off quite nicely...they could even use alot of the same levels since the team of zealots encouters and kills most of noble team anyway...noble team could be boss characters. you could play as the elite that snipes kat from his dropship or fight emile as one of the last bosses. or pilot one of the banshees that chases down carters pelican. the possibilities are endless. you could even be that elite that grabs noble six and gets punched or one of the elites that finally kills him at the end. their are enough halo fans that it would sell well. during night missions you would turn on your purpley night vision and cut down odst's one by one with energy swords, switch to your needle rifle and supress a spartan before he dmr's your grunts from his tower. this would also allow for utilization of evade in singleplayer missions. i belive that an expansion of this nature would give a cool perspective to the battles that we experianced as noble 6. even if all the voice acting was in alien speak and it had no new music...it would still be about as epic as it gets. Simply breaking holes in lines of intrenched nests of spartan's would be fun ass hell...like reverse firefight...this would also be a good excuse to bring back firefight versus in matchmaking, which happens to be my second favorite gametype (fav being invasion)... well i dont expect bungie or 343 to make dlc of this nature but i thought i would voice a good idea none the less. at the very least they could give us more invasion maps even if they are comunity created. anyway let me know your opinions on this idea and if you would like to see somthing kinda like it in the future. >also if anyone has any examples why this would work/not work feel free to post. this is more a discussion then anything else im not trying to form a petition here just bounce some ideas, bungie and 343 are busy as hell atm anyway
