  1. If you're able to launch the game the game should've updated. If it hasn't yet been updated it wil give you a prompt when booting up the game.
  2. It seems that your checkpoint got bugged. I'm sorry to say that you might need to start the level all over again.
  3. You get a message that you need DLC for singleplayer aspects? That's wierd. Try uninstalling and reinstalling everything again, including the game. Also shut down your xbox completely by taking out the power. If that doesn't work report your problem over at Halowaypoint.
  4. Halo 5: Guardians - Miscommunication, the classic Halo theme and all upcoming Halo games will have Beta's http://343i.org/2zv

  5. With the recent news of Halo 5 Guardians not having a split-screen option the fanbase went wild. But we could all find some kind of comfort in knowing that playing the Halo 5 campaign co-op would not require Xbox Live Gold... Right? Well, today we found out that this is actually not the case. In one of Josh Holmes' recent blogs over at Waypoint he explains that playing the campaign does in fact require an Xbox Live Gold subscroption. It was just a small miscommunication with Game Informer while they were making their latest article "I need take a moment to make an important correction on something we miscommunicated in the story. I misspoke during the interview when stating that online co-op campaign would be supported with an Xbox Live Silver account. Co-op campaign will require Xbox Live Gold to play. I want to extend my sincere apologies to our fans, and to Game Informer, for this error and any confusion it has caused." ~Josh Holmes Luckely, in order to set things straight, we will get a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial card with Halo 5 so you'll still have the oppertunity to play Halo 5 co-op for up to 2 weeks. Next up we got a confirmation that our classic Halo theme is making a return. Ever since Halo 3 we've had a distinct lack of our beloved monk chant in the Halo games. They weren't gone completely but they were way too subtle. So Kazuma Jinnouchi, the music composer for Halo 5, has decided to bring back the Halo choir. "We wanted to bring the old Halo theme back. We had a number of discussions about this and one of the pieces we strongly felt like we should bring back was the Halo choir, which was very subtly implemented in Halo 4, but we wanted to bring it back in a much more obvious way, So we did our own interpretation of the piece." ~Kazuma Jinnouchi We'll just have to wait and see what their 'interpretation of the piece' is. Lastly we get a confirmation that all of the upcoming Halo games will get a beta. After the terrible launch of the Master Chief Collection 343i vows to never release a Halo game without beta testing it first. They claim to have been a bit too ambtious when it comes to releasing 4 different Halo games on 1 disc, and therefor learned the importance of offering a beta. "There is so much we learned with the Halo 5 beta," she said. "There is actually stuff we took from our Master Chief Collection--learnings that we were able to put into the beta. Going forward, you will never see a Halo game coming out without a beta. It was obviously painful for our fans and for us. But it won't happen again. There are things we put in place to make sure that we know everything, how it stands up outside and in the wild." ~Bonnie Ross After the obvious succes of the Halo 5: Guardians beta, I couldn't agree more with this decision. What are your thoughts on all of this? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading! Sources: Halowaypoint Game Informer Gamespot
  6. - Why not both? Having good graphics doesn't immediately mean that the gameplay suffers from it. - Halo 5 is all about Arena gameplay. Everyone starts out with the same 'loadout'. - The special abilities take skill to use properly. You can't spam the thrusters or try to groundpound without thought as you'll get taken out instantly due to overexposing yourself. - No splitscreen has already been confirmed. It wouldn't work with the 60fps. Now hold on, I can already feel you wanting to reply "just make splitscreen 30fps!" and to that I say I dare you to go back to the Xbox 360 and play any Halo (they're all 30fps). It's an absolute eyesore!
  7. And now we fight to the death to determine who is loved Fishy the most.
  8. A visual representation of what's going on right now:
  9. The only way to play co-op will be to have another Xbox One. Good part is that you don't need XBL gold for that. Now that they've officially stated that there will be no splitscreen I doubt that it's going to change.
  10. That's because there aren't any as of now. 343i did tease that they'll show us some of the large scale warfare at E3 though. Keep your eye out for that
  11. Congrats guys. Glad to have you both on board!
  12. Imagine your Xbox 360. Now imagine putting Halo 5... Now imagine your precious Xbox 360...
  13. They might have it so that only the primary account gets achievements to prevent boosting. I've seen it before in a couple of games. Again it could just be a glitch.
  14. You say "easy" but developing something like that isn't 1, 2, 3 BAM! fixed. It takes time to program it, impelement it and fix any possible bugs and glitches that might pop up with it. Time you could use to do something more useful.
  15. The reason some of the responses, or the lack of them, is because most people complain to the people who are working on Halo 5 and have been all along. They had nothing to do with the development of the MCC except for working under the same company logo. The MCC was being made by a different team entirely. Bonny Ross, Franky, Josh Holmes and Kiki Wolfkill did not work on the MCC and and have stated that that's why the responses are either really technical or not there at all.
  16. ...enlightening... The emblems are being wackey because most of the now available emblem elements were not available in the original games. Halo 4 added a bunch that Halo 2 and 3 didn't have. H2A added emblems that none of the other Halo's had ( the newly added ODST ones even screw around with your Halowaypoint profile). I don't know if they're working on getting it in there anyway, but I don't think it will ever happen. As for ranking goes, more and more playlists would get ranking after the ODST update. We should be seeing more ranked playlists soon!
  17. Ah I remember forging massive powerhouses with tons of power weapons back when I was 14... Good ol' days. Great interview D_D! pls meak moar
  18. Bungie lucked out in most cases. Most of the so called 'features' were mistakes made by Bungie but they just rolled with it. It still baffles me how people think Halo 2 was the best in the series when technically speaking it was one of the worst. Imbalanced weapons and glitches galore. Even though 343i made a huge mistake with the MCC, I'd pick 343i over Bungie any day. Also, dat Halo 5 beta
  19. Bought me a 2TB external HDD for my Xbox One. No more deleting games to make room for others!

Disk or no disk, you have to install them and make them take up room either way. I didn't want to remove any more games from my internal storage since I actively play all the games on there at the moment. It also prepares me for future game releases like Halo 5 :D

  20. This is not the official Halo forum. But I'll try to help you as much as I can. I checked your profile and your first achievement was unlocked on the 23rd of December. In order to recieve ODST for free you need to have played the MCC online before the 19th of December. Sadly I do not think you are eligable. Your first achievement on the other hand was unlocked late November so you should have recieved the code in your messages. I'd suggest contacting 343i on halowaypoint.com
