  1. The problem I have with Elites in multiplayer is that their anatomy does not fit the hitboxes causing them to be hunchbacks like in Halo 2 and 3. Halo 3 even had a gap in the Elite's neck that you could throw grenades through! What they did with them in Halo:Reach is something I can agree with though. Full length, Larger overall, Stronger, Faster BUT restricted to certain playlists. ODST's and Marines in multiplayer isn't going to work because they don't have energy shields allowing them to be headshotted instantly. Anyone with good aim is going to find themselves skeetshooting, especially if they're allowed to play as spartans! Again this could be resolved by making a dedicated playlist or playlists that allow you to only play as ODST's/Marines (and maybe one Spartan or Elite to fight with in a team or fight against together). The Red vs Blue theme is and will always stay in team oriented gametypes to allow you to see who's on your team and on the enemy team. Simply a coloured armband or something like that isn't going to cut it. It also fits the competetive theme/sport that player vs player combat has turned into in the Halo lore. Rumblepit or any other non team oriented gametype always allow you to show off your own colours.
  2. Another sticker in your sticker book (10 stickers will get you a pizza!) Well done guys!
  3. Looking at the Waypoint forums just makes me lose all faith in the Halo community....

  4. The monument that we see in the leaked photo might look similair, but in my opinion is not. Large differences are that The Halo 3 monument appears to be made out of metal and on some kind of scaffold, whereas the Halo 4 monument is made out of stone. The text on the Halo 3 monument is not only different from Halo 5's "Duty and honor above all" but is also painted on there instead of being carved in. Another slight difference surroundings. They don't seem to be the same to me. These differences are to large to be made to fit Halo 5's story a lil' better. The theory about it being a Reach seems the most interesting to me for both the Master Chief, Arby and Locke to me.
  5. You do realise he is talking about the MCC right? As for the OP, 343i adds/removes gametypes on a regular basis to add a little dyanmic to the player population forcing you to try something different and to allow themselves to add gametypes other people love without spreading the population too thin. SWAT might return someday, don't worry your pretty little head about it. If you want to play it like Bungie intended keep in mind that they'd probably add ALL playlists resulting in a player population of 34 per playlist like they did in Halo: Reach. Also.... Destiny *shivers*
  6. My cousin just got the MCC and challenged me to a 1v1. Little does he know...

  10. Pretty please :3 Love the poems you made!
  11. In case people are wondering what the "I was a poor man once" status update I put up was referring to, in Runscape if you complete certain clue scolls a man name Uri will appear and he will say a random dialogue making fun of the game itself. A party hat is an extremely rare item (that was fairly common at the start of the game back in 07) worth around 10 million gold.

  13. I was a poor man once, but then I found a Party Hat.

  14. I'm sorry to inform you that we're not 343i and can't do anything about your problem. 343i generally isn't the one calling bans, that's Microsoft. Good luck getting your account back from them as they're tough as nails when it comes to lifting bans. You broke the rules, you knowingly broke them and thus deserve to be banned. I cannot see why microsoft would lift your ban.
  15. Oh the amount of times someone playing as Baird would stand next to me shouting "Swap weapons!" Like the idea, but no thanks...
  16. Have you played the MCC before the 19th whilst connected to XBL?
  17. I nominate D-38 BOSS and Bnus. They'd make for some good entertainment!
  18. I never really liked bots that simulate actual players. ESPECIALLY when teams are balanced with them in a game (example a team of 32 goes against 30. The team of 30 gets 2 bots to even the playingfield). Either they are too easy to kill or they're actual aimbots depending on the difficulty you set them to. They'll never be able to recreate actual players with bots and to me it's just cringeworthy to play against and with them.
  19. Halo: The Master Chief Collection Update Beta CANCELLED! http://343i.org/2px

  20. After announcing that the next update for Halo: The Masterchief Collection would first be beta tested, 343i now pulls the plug on this idea. Some time ago 343i announced that the next update for Halo: The Masterchief Collection would get an update so huge that it would have to go through beta testing first to ensure it not breaking the entire game. An article on that can be read here. Now 343i cancels this beta that would become available for Xbox One Preview members in North America somehwere in the near future because it would become too time consuming as it would need some more updates to be enabled. The company now decides that it would be best if they test it thoroughly themselves internally. "After further evaluation, the team has determined that that final testing for the content update will be completed internally, and we will not be conducting a beta test for the next CU. Also, it was determined that the additional time and work devoted to the beta would’ve actually postponed the public availability of the content update. Lastly, there were some added challenges surrounding the CU beta – including an extra series of required updates and rollbacks - that made us take a step back and reexamine the CU beta. Ultimately, this plan will allow us to deliver the smoothest possible experience, and ensure that the next content update becomes available as soon as possible." ~Bravo An final release date for most likely the biggest patch for the game yet had not yet been set as the team is also working hard on several updates that will be released even later. "Progress on the CU continues, and we’ll work to provide an ETA once the final date is locked. As stated last week, our current focus and priority remains delivering the upcoming improvements to the matchmaking and party systems, but the team is also working on and prioritizing additional items beyond this, and I look forward to discussing these – a lot more – as we get closer to those updates." ~Bravo In the previous report some of you guys seemed to be rather skeptical about beta testing an update. Does this remedy or worsen your concerns? Let us know down below! Thank you for reading! Source: HaloWaypoint View full article
