  4. AR/SMG spawns in some cases sure promote teamwork as in going for map control, but it usually comes down to running at eachother while holding the trigger and beating eachother down. AR/SMG spawns make it just about impossible to take down opponents with long to midrange weapons. I much prefer BR/AR spawns as you can at least take on players further than 5 feet right off the spawn instead of having to run around trying to get closer (which ain't gonna work) or searching for a longer ranged weapon. It also gives the option for players who still prefer the AR to use their favourite weapon. As for that last statement you put in there to insult me. Just 1v1 me and put your money where your mouth is. We'll see how lacking my skill is.

  6. Halo: The Master Chief Collection FIXED?! As some of you might have noticed when you started The Master Chief Collection today, there's been an update (103MB). Is it finally fixed now?! Well the answer is both yes and no... Yes in that matchmaking works properly now. No more exessive waiting times and working consecutive matches. But no as in there are still a few kinks here and there. But luckely these will be fixed in the near future. Here are the patch notes: Made a change to allow for matches to start once minimum player counts are met, allowing for faster matching times. Made an update to resolve issues that caused false matches to be created, which resulted in a variety of matchmaking issues, including slow matchmaking and bad session starts. Streamlined the process for maintaining party continuity through the matchmaking process. Made an update to the high-level matchmaking flow that will reset lobbies after each match. Moving forward, players and party leaders need to press "B" after the post-game-carnage report, and select a playlist for their next match. This flow is consistent with previous Halo titles. Improved user experience through removal of non-actionable error messages. This will allow for a more seamless matchmaking flow with less interruption and confusion. Improved the post-game experience to fix an issue that could result in a player getting sent to another player’s lobby, rather than returning to the matchmaking screen. And my god what a difference this makes! I've done a test run on Halo today with 2 friends and we were just able to stick together in a lobby and keep on playing with no freezing or having to force quit the game. The only thing that does need to be noted is that team balancing might still be a bit off here and there with a one player difference between games. 343i has insured us that this issue will be adressed in the update next week.   8. So the MCC appears to be as good as fixed now. Had no problems playing with 2 friends for 6 consecutive games

  9. I think your temp ban might have something to do with the system thinking that you're boosting (0 kills and a ton of deaths). This was implemented in the earlier Halo Reach days because people would go into matchmaking and do bugger all and still recieve credits/exp thus boosting their rank. Either that or you might have quit too many games in a short period of time.

  11. Yeah it happens, I lost 9 ranks myself for quitting a 5v1 ctf game (me being the 1). Don't take the ranking seriously at this point, the ranks will be reset for all when everything is sorted!

  16. So you're telling me you drove hours and fought insane crowds for a game you did no research on before buying whatsoever?! You could've known that the server issues were still there before you decided to do all that... To adress the second line (which was totally unnecessary), it just comes down to what people you get paired up with. The one on the left will always win tie voting and are the more popular games. I have had plenty of Halo: CE games myself
  17. Why kill shieldless opponents with a AR??? The stealth Elites have NO shields! Just whip out your Pistol on pop a cap in their heads!

  19. It's a bit of a pain now yes, but once the servers are running fine they'll reset all ranks anyway since some obtained higher ranks through boosting. Don't take the ranks seriously as of now.
  20. Spawning with a BR and sidearm makes things a bit more skill based. Spawning with either the AR or SMG usually results in running straight at eachother guns blazing (oh the Halo 3 memories). As for a seperate playlist I highly doubt it ever being split.
