  1. It's come to my attention that Best Buy will be doing a buy 2 get 1 free starting the week of Halo 4. My friends do this every year, one person wants assassins creed, one person wants WWE, and someone wants something else, and we all share the price and only spend $40 a piece.

Does anyone know if this sale would work with 3 copies of Halo 4? Me and two other friends want to get Halo 4 as cheap as possible, and spending $40 on Halo 4 would be awesome :D

  2. Seriously i was excited for every other halo but 4... and you know why? because they showed everything already! Like seriously why cant 343 keep some stuff secret and not release everything about the game...

Any whom are you guys excited even though you know everything that will be in halo 4? (Besides the ending)

EDIT - EVEN THE DLC LIKE WTF WHY WOULD YOU SPOIL THAT!!!!!!!!

You do realize that you don't have to look at the map walkthroughs and the illegal leaked gameplay of the campaign.

Also, They showed just as much for Halo Reach. They gave us a video for all the maps and the game leaked all over the internet.

  3.

Yeah look, Im going to have to say that the LE is still worth buying. I will NEVER cancel my preorders to any Halo games becuase my preorder is all about this- "I would like to preorder the LE of Halo x and pay a bit extra becuase I want to go that bit further and show my added support for the halo series, its not about what you get but about me saying here have this bit extra to make the next game better"

If you have any more questions about the Halo 4 release please just post them in this thread and I will try to get the info out of 343i and answer your questions.

    Sincerely, Rossco

Well, see, I think you're missing the perspective here.

Yes, if I had the choice of simply getting the standard version or the more "Halo-y" version, I'd go with "Halo-y," but that being said, now that I'm in college and have to pay for my own things, I'm forced into a more realistic perspective. I'd love to get the LE, I honestly would, and I probably could afford it the day it comes out, but I just simply can't spend that much money for such little content. While there is a lot to offer, it's still going to be available (most if not all) later, and some are already free online (FUD). And even though there might be bonus episodes in the LE, you can still see them online eventually. Getting things on the internet takes 2 seconds. If it wasn't all online in the first place, maybe it'd be worth it to get the full edition.

The FUD doesnt even make sense to me... You're not really getting a Halo memorable, because it's already free in great quality online as we speak. There's a difference between getting an art book that is also viewable online and a web series that you get to watch online regardless.

But all in all, the only thing that really made me want the LE was the map pass, but I wasn't really seeing the value in that, because it's much harder to drop $100 in one sitting than it is to just spend an extra 5 or 10 bucks over the course of several months.

So my verdict is, personally, that if you have the money and stability to drop $100 on a game that, although doesn't provide much monetary value, still gives you the (technically) 100% Halo 4 experience, then go for it. But for those who are money savers, might want to skip out on this one.

But you see, that's the glory of it all. 343 already said that they didn't want to make some huge must-have Halo 4 edition (like legendary), they wanted people to make a clear decision between a little more or a little less. And I think you're just noticing more of the "no" side now because people have a much clearer choice this time around. Most other Halo collector editions have memorable things like statues or art books or what have you, while this one just provides early access stuff and skins and w/e.

    But, that's my say..

So wait... The Map pass is included in the LE? If so isn't that worth it right there?

    Sounds good to me IMO.

Yes, however, the map pass is also available for purchase with the standard edition of the game day one for 25 bucks, only 5 bucks more, which in the long run would save you from buying a $100 game if you're only interested in the map pass.

  4. My idea was, could I sprint toward a vehicle that's facing toward me, jump and activate the shield to hit the vehicle safely and gently bounce off, and THEN be in perfect distance to hijack them?

I say this because I'm on Reach and I just sprinted toward a ghost and was about to hijack it but he JUST barely got enough speed to kill me from the collision. I'd love to be able to sprint and just use the hardlight shield instantly to make him perfect for hijacking.

  5. In Reach you had to switch weapons with Y to use the bomb with the Banshee, but I don't see the reticule changing when they use the Banshee bomb in Halo 4.

Did they map it to a comfortable button this time around so you don't have to juggle through weapons, like maybe RB?

  6. Hm... if what Didact said is anything to go by (and bare with my here, because I haven't been looking too much into the campaign. So I might be missing something) but with the flood being gone, the next big threat to "all that exists" are the humans...

What if Dr halsey does more controversial and wreckless research and ends up putting the galaxy in danger?

Just a guess, but the first part is still true. Humans are apparently the next big threat, but why?

I haven't read the books, so there might already be a reason why that I'm just not aware of lol

Also, was that a Halo ring?...

I suppose the Halos weren't all destroyed... mainly just shut down.

  7. Do we get a tactical package, support upgrade, AND a mod from specializations? Or are the mods the same thing as support upgrade?

I'm confused, cause I hear about 3 different categories but only see two categories when watching people customize their loadouts. And I'm also trying to think of what my loadouts are going to be.

  8. Since I am getting the forest camo skin from gamestop with my game, I won't need active camo in some maps like Long Bow.

You will unless you're playing a non-team game lol

Using a skin as camo in Halo is kind of useless in match making with teams.

How do they justify letting the Spartans pick their own colors for their armor (red, blue, pink, ect.) as opposed to the military camo or Cheif's green? Not aboard the infinity since that's simply for training, but in the field. I mean I know that Spartans are walking powerhouses and probably aren't worried about being hidden but that's no reason for them to don bright colors. (Not against it really, since I'd be pissed if I had to wear green/forest camo in multiplayer/war games along with everyone else.Just something I've always wanted to know)

It's obviously just for their own preferences, but I wanted to if there's any military logic in it at all. And if you guys want, since the topic might sound misleading, tell us what colors you'll sport in Halo 4. I've always gone with red, but might change to black/silver Nov. 6th.

Hope there isn't already a topic on this

They don't justify it. They just let it happen.
