  1. I do enjoy the rush of a good (planned) revenge sometimes, and figured it'd be even more satisfying for the other player to know it was a revenge, instead of him/her thinking it was someone else. Not an ego thing, just fun sometimes > Does the game let you know? Does the announcer say anything now? Like how he says REVENGE when you kill someone who just killed you. It'd make the nemesis perk even more satisfying to get, to me at least.
  2. In halo reach they let you use the Mark VI helmet (chiefs helmet in halo 2 and 3) but they put a white stripe on the top... preventing me from having a solid color. It annoyed me SOOOO much. Is that forceful stripe still there? Any pics?
  3. There will be 1-50 numbered ranks, and then the 1-10 for each specialization to further your overall rank. But I don't think it's like Halo 2 where you rank down for losing, unfortunately.
  4. Gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FXHvRJ1So0 Song http://soundcloud.com/mathieu-lafleche/halo-4-awakening-only-orch-new
  5. No, a grainy effect as in like... well it's kind of hard to explain. Left 4 Dead has it too. A lot more apparent, but the same concept. It's like you can see TINY TINY TINY grains of sand almost that make up the image, as like a visual effect. Not a fps problem. They talk about it in this Bungie forum. http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=43719169&postRepeater1-p=1#43720065 ODST had it too. They talk about it as if it won't be in the final build of Reach, but it is lol And actually, another question I had. Does the game still have motion blur like Reach did?
  6. When comparing Reach to any other Halo game, you kind of notice a grainy effect on the screen in some/most situations. Is this in Halo 4? I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it's hard to tell with youtube quality.
  7. There's not an armor ability forum. I assumed an armor ability used in combat would count as a weapon more than anything else. I mean yea, it's good to avoid campers, but you can pretty much scan the whole map. It makes sneaking up on them almost impossible.
  8. I decided to just get the regular edition to avoid spending too much money. The only thing I found out of the LE that interested me was the 9 maps, but I'm ok with buying them as they come out, if it means saving me $40 now. I know that the regular edition only lets you play with 2, wetworks and something else, but do we know how long they will make us wait? That's kind of annoying... I'm stuck with 2 choices just because I didn't pay $100 I'm a college student, damn it! >:C I have to spend my money on text books and Ramen.
  9. I keep looking at videos with promethean vision and I just can't justify it... To me it's just a game killer. Do we know of any counters other than the hologram showing up and the wetwork mod making you only an outline?
  10. The Assault Rifle was obviously one of my favorite weapons from Halo 1. It saddened me to not see it in Halo 2... and especially when I saw it in Halo 3 and it ended up sucking compared to other weapons. Halo Reach was alright but the AR still lost more often. From what I've been able to see, it SEEMS stronger... but does anyone know for sure? Is the Assault Rifle beefed up now, and actually alright for me to use as a load out weapon? Or will it get over shadowed again by other rifle weapons?
  11. I use to think that too, and it does change alter the mood when playing match making. But I've started enjoying just chilling in my comfy chair after Biology and listening to somewhat upbeat and yet chill music. But when I play with friends, definitely keep the music off, unless we aren't trying to be competitive.
  12. If they try to make me pay for remakes that look as identical to the originals as Ragnarok does to Valhalla, then that's ridiculous. Normally they alter the map in some way to make it unique and bring something different, but Valhalla is just... pretty much rock for rock the same so far lol They should make a map pack with 3 remakes, for free. Port, polish, play. I hope the 9 maps they give you for the LE aren't remakes. Halo anniversary was cool with all the remakes it brought to reach, but it made me realize how much more i appreciate original levels. Nostalgia can only last so long on a game that's different. Now, to be far, I am indeed glad they brought back Valhalla. I just hope it doesn't become a normal thing to just port maps over and not really do much with them. (And I'm mainly saying this because sprint makes the old maps play differently. It destroys the original flow of the map when you can rush to the other end in a matter of seconds.)
  13. For those who have played (or seen the game in action) what are the graphics like? I mean, sure, we see the videos on youtube, but the quality is not good enough to really tell what it will look like in Nov. Does anyone know of a game they could compare it to graphically? Not necessarily the art style but just the quality of graphics. Lighting textures frame rate etc.. Really curious to see what the new halo looks like! Not many Halo games are known for their intense graphics.
  14. I'm trying to make a playlist of songs to put on my xbox to listen to while I play war games casually. What do you guys listen to when playing Halo? (If you listen to anything other than the in-game stuff) Post some personal favorites! (and yes I like dubstep. or at least dubstep that has melody and a good beat...)
  15. Which ones are confirmed?
  16. You're probably right. I just noticed that at the top right side of the screen when it shows him using the weapon it says PROTOTYPE
  17. Found it btw, I posted it up on the original post ^ It just confuses me... So the weapon trailers didn't have all the weapons after all? What can we expect then? lol
  18. Nah, I know of that gun. This one shot more like a regular gun. The shots were more constant and the shots weren't red.
  19. At least you were nice enough to look lol I suppose I'd have to spend big to get something high quality. I might look into optic cables and see if I can find a cheap-ish headset that supports it.
  20. I watched all the weapon trailers and noticed it didn't have one promethean weapon that I saw in a different gameplay video... Look at the video, 2:30 minutes in he starts shooting it on a bridge that looks like the old halo 3 map. Are there more weapons from humans and covie too? like the plasma cannon (rocket launcher for covie)? Does anyone know of a confirmed list of all the weapons?
  21. I guess no one knows yet? D: anyone try it during the conventions?
  22. Here's a question lol i just sawed off part of the plastic for my audio cable so I could fit the hdmi in with the audio cable at the same time, allowing me to at least SEE the game in HD Does this mean the audio is through HDMI though? I have the hdmi plugged in from the xbox to the tv. The audio cable is plugged into the xbox which is only connected by the two red and white cables the headset comes with. Like I said, it works! but i cant tell if this is still stereo sound or if the xbox is actually sending the hdmi quality sound through the av cables.
  23. True, I should have given more insight. Definitely less than $100, although I know it's best to save up for quality sometimes. I mainly just want something to save up for between now and November 6th for Halo 4. Let's say I prefer under $100 (assuming theres a good enough headset) Here's what I'm mainly looking for -Surround sound headphones -Higher quality audio (you mentioned the x11 has stereo, im assuming recent head phones let you use hdmi for better audio now). -Allows me to use it with my HDMI (my x11 turtle beach only lets you use hdmi if you have an adapter... $20? no thanks.) -Reliable. Won't break within a month
  24. B is crouch?... Really? That's going to be weird... So how do you hijack people? I hope it's not a color button that makes you move your right thumb from the aiming analog stick. I hated looking straight ahead when trying to hijack someone who just zoomed past me. It'd be nice to be able to comfortably maintain eye sight with the vehicle while trying to hijack it.
