      sorry i meant halo 3

  2. im sure we will know soon enough, the point you made about music corresponding to gameplay made me feel better, i have faith they will make each piece of music go a long with the situations in the game.
  3. cod going futuristic was going to happen eventually, they are not copying halo.
  4. in the fist half of the post of the sources i have shown they say yes we are going to include the orginal style of music but also make our own style as well, then the article and the tojima interview it says no we are done will the original style we are makimg a completely new style of music.
  5. First of all from the title of this thread you can tell that im slightly irritated as a lot of you know that i have never been seen trolling or hating on this site (which im not going to begin anyway) im just getting a little annoyed because im not sure what to expect when it comes to the musical side of things of halo 4. We all know halo is taking a new route on many things and also bringing back old things, one of those things i want to talk about is the music. I want to know where we are standing when it comes to this. Are we going to experience the original style of music while also embracing a fresh new style? Or are we going down a complete separate road from the old style of music and being introduce to all new music? Well I dont know. First of all i want to provide some things that show 343 industries stating that they will be adding in the original style a long with creating new styles of music (i forget where exactly in the video were they mention it but its definitely there) www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwtruD10LTA and heres a piece of music thats is also actually in halo 3 that will feature in halo 4 (it's the very first piece of music) www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOyOJqjz1-s and also even in the trailer itself where it features a new deeper version of the actual halo theme at the very end. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9iQiHNXgMU Now these other sources say the complete opposite. Here a link to an article that was published a few weeks ago, if i post it here this thread post would be too big, so follow the link to the article. http://www.edge-onli...c-another-level Also in this interview with Tojima from 2 minutes in he talks about how he loved the original style but they wont copy it, so does he mean he wont copy the music by bringing over actual soundtracks from the first trilogy? because as you can hear from the second video i posted we can hear the halo 3 soundtrack "luck" but given a different pitch/ tempo etc. Or does he mean they wont be using the same style from the previous games all together that was produced in the original trilogy? because the first 3 videos i posted tell a different story. http://www.gameinfor...s-composer.aspx Like i said this isnt a hate thread or flaming in 343i, im just confused on where we are supposed to stand on this subject, im very passionate about the music in halo, old or new, so im ready to embrace on what they are going to give us, but i dont know what we are supposed to expect.
  6. Now before i begin i want to say i have always noticed the planet at the end of halo 3 (requiem) to have shapes and geometric patterns on the surface when i first seen it, but im just after noticing a symbol on the planets surface that has been seen through out the games on such places as the second picture shows, all of you may have noticed this years ago but i just noticed this specific detail on the planet a few mins ago.
  7. The Inspirations For Halo 4 Halo 4 will be the first new entry in the series from the freshly-formed studio 343 Industries, but that doesn't mean that the team is approaching the game from a blank slate. Each team member was inspired to join the team and work on the game for their own reasons; inspirations for the new game come from anywhere and everywhere. From a love for Halo: Combat Evolved's co-op, the original Star Wars trilogy, or even real-world science (for more on this topic check out this bonus video), watch the video below to learn more about where 343 Industries is finding the inspiration for their work on Halo 4. screen shots of game footage in the background Click here to watch video Also The science behind the halo series video, enjoy.
  8. I know this includes halo 3 and reach but since it also shows halo 4 content and halo 4 is the main talk of the topic I think its ok to post it here From oxcgn.com Yes it’s an understatement, but I’m ridiculously excited for Halo 4. While I’ve previously shown apprehension on the direction of the game, I’m still eager to see what 343 is doing with the franchise, and where we’ll be going next. I decided to pull together a bunch of comparison screens showing the visual differences between Halo 3, Halo: Reach and Halo 4. The results are staggering, and I think you’ll see it too. 10. lol thanks, its a long shot but who knows
  11. haha your not alone dude
  12. i had another thought connecting to the latest archives when he says "those who are loyal to their throne will retrieve the key next to the shrine" what if that those who are loyal are the covenant loyalists? they could go to earth and do the same thing that happened in halo 3, dig up the buried artifact and use it, they have an excuse to do this because they are wanting to start another fight with the humans.
  13. Damien frome TSL speaks about his experience with halo 4

  14. Damien from this spartan life gives a little info on his experience from playing halo 4. I highlight two sentences from what damien said that may be a little more in-sight to the game. Not just posting to rub it in (LOL) but I also wanted to share some relevant info. I just played multiplayer on two maps and watched Frankie play campaign (just up to the first battle with the Covenant on the Forward Unto Dawn.) Also attending were Louis Wu and Mig from HBO. Talked to Frankie for a while too. Good times. First multi-player: -Frankie said the build was a month old but had some patches in the meantime. -We played on two maps- Warhouse and Wraparound (according to Wu) -It looks excellent. Whatever they did to the engine appears to have increased sharpness and resolution considerably. -Sound was a bit wonky in this build, but game play was already pretty solid. -Having sprint as standard totally makes sense. -Look sensitivity is higher now. It defaulted to 5 and I had to knock it down to 3. -Had loads of fun with the DMR. It made me feel like a halfway decent player for a moment, before several of the NFL guys who were there got into the game and destroyed me. Don't get too close with it though or it becomes unwieldy. -I found movement and weapon control to be very fluid. Wu had more problems for some reason. Possibly because he kept pressing crouch by accident! LOL. -This Promethean Vision thing is a gas. Not sure how much it helps see through walls etc. but it looks great. Machinima uses will abound. Mig called it "Moebius Vision" (after the recently departed sci-fi graphic novel artist/writer.) And campaign: Can't say too much about this as Frank only played the first 10 minutes. The opening is beautiful. As you probably know, we start on the Forward Unto Dawn where we last saw MC and Cortana hunkerin' down for a long wait. It's 4 years later and she is panicking and wakes him up. He's all grumpy and has to go fight a bunch of Covvies who have boarded. There are some cool player controlled bits like climbing a ladder rung by rung with the ability to jump over to other places on the way to avoid falling debris. Very cool. Then the familiar battling of grunts and elites, all of whom got nice armor upgrades in the interim. Cortana looks quite different and far more human. A little less glowy and maybe slightly younger. Go check Louis Wu's write up. I think he said a lot of the same stuff but probably with much more knowledge than I have! http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=37308753&postcount=8769
  15. ok this isnt anything major and i could be completely wrong but a very small thing i want to ask. I was bored earlier so i decided to go and find all the halo 3 terminals again, in the first terminal on the ark it is mainly the libarian and the didact talking to each other, here is some of the transcript: L: Categorization has sped since the improvements were announced, but there are many hurdles. The indexing of sentient species may have irreversible effects on the surviving non-sentient species. We will have extinction events and irreparable environmental harm on at least 18 worlds. Current projections estimate post-archival cataclysm on as many as 31 worlds. The paucity of sentience has been a blessing in this regard. D: How formal of you, Librarian. We're receiving shipments of indexed beings more frequently that communications. Don't compound scarcity with brevity. I know things beyond the [Maginot] line are harried. But I worry about you. I've asked you time and time again. Abandon your cataloging. Come back inside, where my fleets can keep you safe. First thing i want to say is we may know the didact my still be alive from the 10th terminal in halo ce, i thought he was dead, ok moving on, where i have highlighted in green didact basically says to the librarian come back we can keep you safe, could the didact be in requiem at that point? because requiem is able to hold against the halo array firing and can protect everything is side it, and we almost know from the 10th halo cea terminal that he is alive and most likely face him in halo 4. when the didact said that she could be kept safe, did he mean from the halo firing or the flood or even both? Although when he says my fleets can keep you safe he could be asking the librarian to board his ship.
  16. Big Discovery!!!!!! i was trying to see if those numbers would match any galactic coordinates but nothing came up so i checked to see if they were co-ordinates on earth, and they are!, the co-ordinates are a place in peru it pin points to mount coropuna and guess what that name means? The name means, Shrine on the plateau, could there be another artifact buried there like there was one on mount elgon in africa in halo 3? because 3530_RG says "Theres another? They have been busy while i was gone". This is mind blowing!!
