Microsoft Game Studios boss Phil Spencer spoke to IGN at the Gamer Developers Conference about Halo 2 Anniversary and if they were to make it. During this talk Phil Spencer went through different things on what made the game a success and what would be important for an anniversary edition, if it were to happen. Quoting Phil from his interview with IGN he does talk about the multiplayer side of things a lot, he also may have hinted if Halo 2 Anniversary were to happen it would have multiplayer. "All the things that you and I know about the evolution of the franchise, if you’re going to say one thing about Halo 2, you’re going to talk about real multiplayer. I think you just have to nail that in just such a fundamentally core way. Frankly probably better than we did with Halo 1 Anniversary. I thought the multiplayer in Halo 1 Anniversary was good, but Halo 1 never had multiplayer in the truest sense, so it always was going to be something different." This was his final statement. "If there were something called Halo 2 Anniversary, I think the multiplayer would have to be fantastic." Keep in mind everything Phil Spencer said was all in a hypothetical sense. We have just entered into the month of March and that means another two free games to download from the Xbox marketplace with the "Games With Gold" program. First up to download for free is Civilization Revolution. Civilization Revolution is a 2008 turn based strategy game, developed by Firaxis Games, were you take control and build civilizations from as far back as 4,000 B.C. and right through the different era's of history to an advanced world. The game will be available to download for free until March 15th along with the multiplayer map pack "The Elemental" and single player map packs "Brave New Worlds and "The Surreal". The second free game this month is Dungeon Defenders. Dungeon Defenders is a 2010 tower defense/action RPG game, developed by Trendy Entertainment. The game allows players to chose between four different classes to fight of wave of enemies, the game supports four player local co-op and online sessions on Xbox Live. Don't really get how it's funny, the 360 had media remotes, the ps2 had media remotes, the ps3 has one and no doubt the ps4 will have one.

Halo Waypoint posted a tweet earlier on their twitter page which contained a picture of a Halo 2 Master Chief figure. The image was taken at this years toy fair just before they posted it. As you can see in the image it is in fact a Halo 2 Master Chief holding a rocket launcher, as you can also see at the bottom right there is a card that tells us that it contains an unlockable content code. Could this be another hint to a Halo 2 anniversary edition, could the figure be part of a special Halo 2 bundle and the code to unlock in game content?
