My gut feeling is we'll see less of the community made maps once these maps are out as that provides more of a selection of maps to choose from, whereas halo reach did not ship with that many maps to begin with...so that could explain why there are so many community made maps. To be fair though, some of the community maps aren't that bad and you should respect the creators to some extent. Without those maps many would've been long bored with the game by now after playing Countdown and zealot over and over again.
  2. Can someone translate that for me^? I'm seriously having a hard time following your thought process Infinite LulZ, and i'm not making fun of you or anything. I'm assuming English isn't your first language? Anyway, I'm more confused now that you claim bloom is not random? How is bloom not random...If I shoot a wall as fast as I can, there's a bigger spread than if I shoot as fast as I can with no bloom. I.e. - When there is no bloom, my shots hit where I aimed. With bloom, there was a factor of randomness because it would sometimes promote the spammer to win fights even though the other person was pacing. And you say that people are spamming with no bloom? I wouldn't really call it spamming because everyone can shoot that fast, so in the end, whoever can pull off all 5 shots faster than the other person wins the fight. It's spamming when there is bloom involved, but when you take out bloom, it's no longer spamming because everyone is on the same playing field.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question, for anyone else who is interested, here is what I found: "You'll be able to get hold of the Anniversary map pack as DLC for Halo: Reach, when Halo: CE Anniversary launches on November 15th, 2011 or you can simply get them with Anniversary itself. Either way, more Halo multiplayer achievements can only be seen as a good thing, right?" Mods, please go ahead and lock this thread, thanks!
  4. Hey LuLz, I'm not too sure I quite understand what you mean by the problem with "up-close-combat + strafing + spamming". Yes, precision is key and is essentially one of the factors in skill gap, but I have not had a problem with no bloom and close quarters combat at all. In fact I have still been able to pull off 5 shot kills close range against other good players. Of course it will sometimes take 6 or 7 shots because I'll miss a shot or two, but that happens all the time regardless if it's close combat or mid-distance fights. If I were that consistent I'd be getting paid to play this game. I guess my point is, I don't quite grasp the point you're trying to make, if you could explain it to me a bit more (with some videos too maybe?) I could better understand what you feel is wrong with the game. So far I felt the no bloom worked perfectly fine, and definitely created a bigger skill gap that removed a lot of the randomness factor that was coupled with the implementation of bloom. Thanks, Mir

So I asked this before in another forum and no one was able to answer me, so I thought I'd try my luck here since I've heard good things about 343i and the people here being very responsive and helpful (without all the internet drama and mindless bashing) [i hope I did not just excite some trolls to troll me with that comment]. Anyway, the question is, what exactly is Halo CEA? I know the disc will contain the campaign and those remastered maps, but I actually still have a copy of the original Halo. Basically my point is, will I be able to play those new maps some other way other then spending some money to get the "campaign" bundled with the map packs? (Obviously some of you will think the opposite, but I'm much more of a Multiplayer guy, and since I already have the original campaign, there's no real ad-value for me to spend some money to get the campaign). Also, would you be playing halo reach through the halo CEA game disc? Or does the game disc essentially copy those 7 map files onto your account and you still access halo reach MP through the original disc? Thanks! -Mir
