My point is simple, it's a 1 shot kill weapon. Those are also known as POWER WEAPONS and relegated to the ordinance drops. What is your point?

GP Twin I totally agree with what you're saying. That being said, there's really now way to control how folks express theirselves unless they go directly against the CoC here and then you can take some measures ie: temp bans, hiding posts, etc etc. This is to be expected, to a degree anyway simply because we are all human and all humans are decidedly different and we all have different opinions and express them in different ways. Personally, I'm one of the folks who is decidedly less than happy about the release of H4 due to the way it has been handled and I'll leave that alone here as you can simply look up my posts and look into my thoughts on the matter. I would also say that both sides of the "debate" are absolutely valid as they are what they are which is simply to say that the game is to each player as that player perceives it. There is also going to be a deeper side to that as some of us who are seriously competitive and do take the time to play in LAN tournies will see things that most others won't and that's ok, we get that. Back to the point, GP Twin, IDK if it will do any good or not but I hope it does. BaD

Sorry man, gotta disagree with your opinion on the boltshot. It IS a 1 shot kill weapon and like the rest of those, it should be relegated to ordinance drops.
-
DMR is 4 shot .... and no it doesn't need nerfing. If you're getting lag it's due to the ****ty P2P network 343 has set up for the game. The best P2P network I've ever seen was in MW2, that game was mint in MM.

Reach is what started this stupidity. Use the stealth perk, much quicker animated assasinations.

Actually, the killcam is an excellent device. If the killcam looks like you should have died and not like a madman's dream, you have a good connection with this player. If it looks like it's on crack, you're not connecting with that player very well and are prolly dealing with a latency issue with them.

Sniper RIFLES ARE TOO STEAKING OVERPOWERED!!!!
TRF BaDInTentZs replied to marcus903's topic in Halo 4
I suspect you were dealing with a latency, aka "lag" issue there. You had prolly already been hit once before you knew it and then the 2nd shot came along and got you. My suggestion would be to go back and watch the film to find out exactly what happened but I'd bet that's it. BaD -
There NEEDS to be a leave penalty... (at least in objective games)
TRF BaDInTentZs replied to Cortar's topic in Halo 4
IDK, the networking is the only reason I leave games but then again I only play slayer games the majority of the time. 1st time someone doesn't die inside of 6 headshots with DMR or BR and I'm outta there lmao. I'm even allowing myself a missed shot there and frankly, I don't miss lol. Same in Swat, more than 2 headbursts and not dead, I'm done. Not taking a k/d hit for crappy networking system. That being said, when I play objective games, rare as that is, I don't quit regardless of how much I feel like it sometimes. There's always a chance of coming back. There is one exception to this, the stat padding BKs that we all run into from time to time. That's a different issue altogether. To get to the point though. I'd say that I don't agree with automatically penalizing someone for quitting. Lots of stuff can happen to cause a player to leave. Power outage, someone jumping on a computer in another part of the house, host booting, all kinds of things and yeah, it's happened to me with both the power and someone turning on a computer so hey, it could be that. What I would suggest instead is this; use the report option. Report them for manipulation and then cheating. Cheating is defined by using means known or unknown to influence the outcome of a game. Leaving certainly falls into this category. Now for the 2nd half of this. If you report someone for cheating, you should save the film clip and we need to have somewhere to send it where it CAN and WILL be reviewed by active Halo4 mods. After reviewing the clips, if the player is determined to be guilty, their H4 MM experience should end immediately until the player has contacted the mod at which point they will be let know for how long their H4 MM experience is taking a break. The player should be given a chance to explain the situation and at that time, the mod will make the final call on duration of suspension or if indeed a suspension is warranted. After all, stuff does happen. There also needs to be a time cutoff on this regarding at what point in the game this happens and that's something you have to take into consideration when you're talking about issuing penalties. I believe this is certainly a valid issue but in all honesty, penalties should not be handed out without personal interaction. The "models" are not always correct.. My thoughts, BaD -
When it's a one shot kill weapon? Absolutely it would get chosen. Prolly not in slayer but in the objective play lists, sure. The folks I've seen using this weapon ONLY use it in objective play lists and they tend to combine it with camo/stealth. With that being said, it IS a one shot kill weapon and the rest of them are in ordinance drops. That's where it belongs IMO.

I actually have a post at Waypoint regarding this among other things. Here is the link.

Bolt shot should be in the ordinance drops along with the rest of the 1 shot kill weapons. This is yet another goofy move by a company of designers, not players.
-
lol I don't like the fact that it turns my reticle red. I've never wasted more than one shot on them but that 1 shot can be crucial.

Unfortunately, I tend to lone wolf it a lot. My connection doesn't handle parties well at all. That being said, as lone wolf, I'm used to "runnin and gunnin' and picking up kills where I may but at the same time I'm not worried about a 1v1 or 1v2 either. My nade placement is solid so I can set up easy multikills and move on. On the frustratingly rare occassions where I find myself teamed with folks who know what they're doing, I'll pick one and stay on their flank or 6 and roll that way with team shooting and such. I'm an extremely firm believer in using mics, communication can be the key ingredient that makes the difference in a close game. For those who don't think mics make a difference, keep this in mind. EXACTLY %100 of the MLG pros use them.

My 3 favs are, and it's kinda hard to figure out which one I like most for different reasons: Swat Slayer Slayer Pro

Supressor has worked better for me. Carries more ammo and frankly seems to do more damage with similar ammo usage.

First, try this. Go into your command prompt and type in EXACTLY this, with no spaces. ipconfig/flushdns After that, reset all of your networking equipment including the computer and your console, by unplugging them. Turn them back on in this order. Modem, wait for the lights to solidify, router, wait for the lights to solidy, computer and then console. That may or may not help but at least you know that step has been taken.
-
Sounds like you've been in parties with folks pulling some BS. That used to happen to me all the time in BTB and whatever that 6 person list was in Reach.
-
There is a known and recognized issue with the networking on this game. Is 343 going to do anything about it? I don't know. For myself, I bought a modded controller that has the rapid fire mod to help counter the BS networking.
-
I wouldn't say nerf them however, I don't believe they should be part of a load out. Stickies were always regarded as power weapons and had map spawns, that's the way it should still be.

I made a post at Waypoint, dang forums there are hella difficult to navigate so here's the link. Happy posting!! PS: Yeah, I used A True BK4Life, this tag is banned there lol.

I absolutely agree with all of this but I hope you've taken the time to post this in the proper forums at Waypoint. Strangely enough I can't find a direct link but this one applies. Click here.
