I think the tone of his post was wrong and OTT but he had some valid points about the game. Also, this is one of the best places to complain about the game since there's a chance that others may agree and there may be some momentum for change. Past Halos have taught that many of the features that annoy a large portion of the community get fixed when enough people complain about it so maybe that's what OutGunnd is hoping for. Hell, at least his post wasn't censored. I posted a response to another user on a certain other forum with factual information in a *slightly* coloured fashion (to make the post less boring but in no way offensive) and it was censored plus I got a forum ban slapped on me by the zealots over there. That is pathetic and has happened before on that forum.

I added some of my own. Scoring system broken. Play a game of flood/regicide look at the table when the game is over. 1st 7th 4th: He's right about this, I have seen weird behaviour too. Also, I tied with four other people for Flood by points but was listed as 5th and didn't get the win - the Flood Victory commendation is ridiculous unless they introduce a team Flood gametype. "Death Cams" broken: How are they meant to work? On every game type? No one knows because there is no manual. Weapon balance: The boltshot is an extremely over-powered loudout weapon. It's a one-shot kill with a small charge time. And I discovered the secondary function in a death cam because there is no manual. THERE IS NO MANUAL. Broken melee system: I melee an enemy, maybe even got a couple of shots in first, he doesn't die. He melees me back (no shots fired), instant kill. Happens constantly and is very annoying. They FIXED the melee system in Reach (bleed-through) and took two steps back here.Stupid weapon pickup system: As in Reach. "Hello, I'm standing above a rocket launcher, a pistol, and a storm rifle. Pick up rocket launcher. Damn, I got a pistol. Pick up again, damn I got a storm rifle. Pick up again, damn I go [splat... boom! headshot]..." If you're standing near a power weapon in a cluster of weapons, it should get priority. Simples. Custom load outs broken: This only happens to me when there is a network timeout (black screen). It happened in Reach too. This doesn't justify the bug which is just sloppy programming and more importantly, bad QC since it was a known problem in Reach. Preferential treatment to people who spent more and US Live account holders (specializations): I don't want to have to buy the VIP deluxe spa weekend package to get access to features in a videogame and Mountain Dew tastes like !#!$. Give me a crab juice any time. This is a terrible way for Halo to go. Plus, I bought my copy in the US and live here but I cannot access the specializations because years ago, I joined Xbox Live in Europe. Most of the other points I either disagree with or have no experience about the problem. All in all, I like Halo 4 a lot - it doesn't feel like Halo but it is a solid game. Plus, 343 did fix the stupid commendation targets that Reach had (besides Perfection which only works in slayer gametypes so is more likely to be boosted by most people getting it) and fixed the issue of mismatched sides which reduces the amount of griefing/trolling considerably. However, H4 has its flaws, technical and philosophical. Pretending otherwise is sheer fanboy delusion.

This is really disgraceful. We all paid for the game but US customers are given preferential treatment. I live in the US, preordered my copy, and played it the second day it was out and since. But since I used to live in Europe, bought my Xbox 360 there, and have a European Live account, I did not receive the unlock code. Besides, the whole IDEA of having an unlock code is ridiculous - we all paid for the game, we should all get all the content. There are hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, of Halo 4 owners who do not have access to this content (as of December 6, 2012, Halo 4 had sold approximately four million copies). Liechtenstein participated in a gigantic PR stunt for the benefit of 343. Well done, 343. Way to *£$% off a huge chunk of your fan base. This is worse than the no-manual BS (Bungie had incomplete manuals requiring online reading to get the whole picture but at least they had some sort of manual).

The problem was that you had "bad kids" bouncing around player slayer in objective games with small maps wielding shotguns and swords. This is extremely hard to counter when you have any other ability and an assault rifle. Plus the close quarters mean that it is very awkward to turn to target them unless your sensitivity is dialled to 10 which affects, guess what, your aim. This isn't a problem in elite gametypes since the starting loadouts allow you to take these kids out using plasma pistols/melee combos or stickies and where the shotgun isn't an option. It is also not a problem in Grifball which is inherently balanced. The update addresses the imbalance in spartan gametypes. That said, I think evade is a good armor ability on larger maps and non-objective gametypes and the problem is really the abundance of shotgun, sniper, and sword ammo in objective gametypes.

Sounds fun! Fantastic! The evade / shotgun combination was very annoying. The The evade / shotty-sniper players were REALLY REALLY annoying. They'll have to learn to play properly now. On the whole I preferred Bleedthrough since it made close combat fairer (I usually play the TU game types). I won't miss my 4-shot unzoomed DMR deaths though. My helmet is a lead magnet (quiet, physics nerds). My housemates will be hearing plenty of spartan laser-related curses this month. Game on!

Likes Living Dead too much... thinks he speaks for the majority... betrays people who stand in his way... bit dim... Ah! You're one of the stupid kids who ruin the game for everyone else! Now you can't betray your teammates, a bloo hoo!

This has always been a pet peeve of mine; I think racing types belong in their own playlist entirely. Players seem to prefer either multiteam or racing since they are completely different gamestypes - what usually happens when Rocket Hog Race gets selected is that some players either quit immediately, grieve their teammates, or go essentially AFK. Splitting the playlist would reduce the populations but also hopefully involve less messing about. For the record, I like both racing and the other multiteam gametypes. I would just prefer to be able to choice one or the other. I'll miss Sword Base on Living Dead but I'm happy you've fixed the betrayal issue. That playlist was the worst for team killing. [edit] Ah! Sword Base is there... just spookier. Good times!

When I'm playing a match and my friends invite me to their game... I finish the bloomin' match first. Kids have no patience. I'm still seeing an awful amount of chronic Firefight AFKers not getting reset. 343 need to swing that hammer.

Well, it's hard to defend a score of zero and an AFKers thread is actually what I was going for but fair enough. The pigeons on my roof know all the names by now anyway .

Are we allowed to post Bungie game histories of players who AFK a lot? This is the one remaining problem for me in Firefight and I'd love to call out the offenders on a public forum (this is not allowed on Bungie's forum). I even get messages from some of them boasting about how they never get caught because of their "clever system" (read: not very clever).
