  1. As many already know, the Xbox One comes bundles with an all new Kinect Sensor. Many people don't like the fact that you can not buy them separately, especially with the steep price tag of $499. Lets run some numbers: PS4 Price: $399 PS4 Camera $59.99 Grand total(rough estimate): $460 This price is not too far off from the Xbox One, but think about it for a moment. Xbox One WITH Kinect Sensor: $499 $30 difference, BUT Kinect can do more than the PS4 Camera can. It can be used for multiple things. Before Xbox One, we had the Xbox 360 priced at launch for the strongest Bundle: Xbox 360 20gb Premium: $399 ($400) The Kinect Sensor came years later at a price of: Kinect Sensor Upon Release(solo): $149.99 Lets add those two together real quick: Xbox 360 Premium: $400 Kinect Sensor(At Release/Solo): $150 Grand Total Of: $550 Do you see that? Seriously? You are complaining about the pricetag on the Xbox One being too high, when in reality.. it is potentially $50 less than what you paid for your Xbox 360(or multiple 360's) + Kinect! So to review: PS4 pricetag WITH a (limited) camera: $460 Xbox One (Including the multi function Kinect Sensor): $500 Xbox 360 Premium + Kinect(R/S): $550 For $40 more, you get a more advanced camera that has features that exceed the PS4 camera. The price tag may sound like a lot initially, but will potentially cost you less than when you bought your Xbox 360 & Kinect.
  2. In regards to ☢Self Destruct☢'s topic, the image that was given of the Halo 5 logo at the end of the teaser trailer. Accordring to Metro.co.uk: The first Halo game on Xbox One has been subject to a number of leaks over the weekend, including what seem to be the first story details. Although Microsoft did unveil a Halo-related teaser trailer at E3 in June they never said what the game was, although at the time Xbox boss Phil Spencer implied it wasn't Halo 5. A new version of the trailer released by ad company Axis Animation suggests otherwise though, with the number five clearly positioned as part of the main title. And it’s not as if that could’ve just been a slip of the keyboard because someone had to go away and design the digit in the usual Halo typeface. That doesn't mean being a numbered sequel isn't an idea that was subsequently abandoned, but the original post has quickly been redacted on the company’s Facebook page. As for the story details the following description briefly appeared on the Microsoft Store on Friday night, before quickly being taken down: We’re not sure it gives much away, but the talk of wiping out sentient life does perhaps imply a role for The Flood. The listing gave a release date for the game as December 31, 2014 – which is obviously a placeholder but could be accurate in terms of the year at least. Officially the only thing we know about the next Halo game is that it’s an Xbox One exclusive, it will run at 60 frames per second, and that it will make use of cloud computing in some undefined way. Beyond that the only other thing Microsoft has said is that the ‘Reclaimer Trilogy’ that began with Halo 4 is no longer merely a trilogy, and will likely run longer than three games. Metro.co.uk - Next Halo game is Halo 5 suggests leaked info

  8. If I am honest. I don't see the point in what Nintendo has been trying to do. Nintendo Wii-U did not do that great... and now they are re-launching the 3DS... without 3D? AND to top it off, the system doesn't even close in half for better portability? (look at design in pictures, no hinges or anything) Nintendo: "Let's build a NEW DS that does not have the 3D options, and does not fold down for portability! I think it is a great idea!" Nintendo Employee: "I totally agree! Everyone wants to downgrade their 3DS anyways! Lets waist MORE money on a system that likely no one will buy!" Nintendo: "Awesome! It is a done deal! We will get the ball rolling on this one!" I hope they change their minds on this....

  14. I appreciate the kind thoughts and words. I wanted to give this topic some time before I replied to it. I am not leaving the forum, just taking some time away from it each day to focus on other things in life. I believe everyone has a time in their life where they have a difficult decision to make and even though it may hurt it will help you in the long run. As of right now, that is me. I am having to make that decision right now in my life. Will I return as a moderator in the future? Only time will tell. I resigned from my position on a good note and I would not have it any other way. I do cherish every moment I have had here on the forum and I look forward to many more, whether staff or not staff. I want you all to know something... you do not have to be on the staff team to enjoy this forum. In fact I believe people have the capability to do amazing things and enjoy the forum more than the staff can. How? It is that moment when you decide for yourself that you want to be and do better, and that even when you do better you try to keep doing better, making a difference, making an impact. That is how. Even getting involved with not only the posting here in the forum, but the activities the forum offers offsite. There is a something in show-business that I believe relates to any forum on the internet. To stay popular, a celebrity needs publicity. Bad publicity is the kind that will keep you in the news, but good publicity is what you really need. The more celebrities get in fights, get into drugs, get caught doing something terrible or saying something terrible, the more publicity they get. To them and their agents, bad publicity is better than no publicity. Do not take on that role on the forums. Don't try to get popular for the bad qualities. But instead, make the choice to be that good person, good publicity should be the only publicity you look for. You should want to be liked for your passion, your integrity, your honesty, and your leadership. (those are only some qualities.) Be willing to be kind, helpful, and respectful on the forum. These are the kind of members I admire and respect. Make a difference in the community. -Total Mayh3m

  16. I am going to buy an Xbox One, I think it has a great outlook and will have a solid lineup of games + exclusives in the future.
  17. Hey everyone, just wondering what your television specs are for your gaming set up. What brand screen size etc. do you have? I currently have a Hitachi 22'' HDtv. It is the size that MLG once used at the Halo tournaments. BTW, include a pic of your gaming set up if you'd like!.

  19. Nice find. I always had fun using the turret glitch in Halo 3. Glad it is back in Halo 4.
  20. "wake me... when you need me"

  21. Honestly, here is my point. When you say I am buying -insert console name- for Call of Duty, Battlefield 4, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag, or Destiny (maybe even Tomb Raider)... your approach is not that great (if I am being honest). All these high profile, popular games are cross-platform (meaning they will be released for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Wii-U*, PC). So basing your decision off of those games is a terrible idea. You need to consider the exclusives to that system/franchise. Are you buying that gaming console because you don't like what another company is doing? Are you buying a certain gaming console because you don't like the other features on the other gaming console? If you like all of those games listed above and want to play them on the next gen consoles, BUT you also are eyeing newer games that are exclusives... consider which console you are buying. The games listed above do not matter at this point. What I am saying, is forget about what console you are going to play the cross platform games on, and consider which exclusive games you really want to play, who has the stronger line up, who has the better outlook? If you do not like the other features, here is a simple solution: DON'T USE THEM! You are not being forced to use the other features that are available, they are there for you to use if you want to. My point is this: Don't buy a game console based on what the cross platform games are going to be, but what the exclusives will be and what the outlook of games will look like on that console. THEN add in the console features, and the cross-platform games.
  22. Walmart seems to jump the gun when it comes to the new consoles. I remember back before the Nintendo Wii came out they were already advertising the different color consoles you could buy, and the name of "Nintendo Revolution!" coming -insert date here-. Instead, Nintendo delayed the consoles release, re-named it "Wii" and gave it only two colors: Black and White. I would take anything Walmart posts with a grain of salt. The announcement at E3 for Halo was simply, Halo. It had no number, it had no second name. Just "Halo". So with it being stated in the title as "Halo (Xbox One)" and in the description as "Halo 5".... I would be skeptical. I believe Microsoft did announce that the next gen Halo will be an Xbox One Exclusive. Not 100% sure on that though.
