  1. I like your ideas. I do have concerns for some of them but none seem bad. Just quirked. Okay, the Titan's charge and cool is super long. Add them together to get 12 seconds of inactivity. Now, take a stop watch and shoot a scorpion every 12 seconds in a Heroic run of Infinity. Sucks doesn't it? The machine gun turret can only do so much. Remember, you can claim it would be a more powerful vehicle but 343 would make it balanced in-game if they used it in multiplayer. I, for one, like for new iterations of existing vehicles to be in MP. In-game, no single shot from anything in Multiplayer would be powerful enough to warrant that long time unless it was a stationary weapon that was tough to destroy. The Blast Wave kills the user? Seems strangely like Halo would never have it, but seems like it would be in the universe all the same. Can't explain it, but the idea seems pretty cool. Actually sounds like it could be a rare ordnance option for those lucky players on their fourth or fifth ordnance. I can imagine a team of four rushing a poor sap only to find that he was bait. That he was in possession of a Blast Wave. I like your Thruster pack Idea. I had a similar idea to make it boost you in the direction you are aiming if you are air-borne. Ideas like ours would make Zero-G areas more conventional instead of having to use Gravity Hammers to get around. I like the ideas you have presented here. They seem balanced well enough and the forerunner ideas actually seem forerunner. Suggestions like this, suggestions that would belong in the universe, suggestions that are balanced, they should be listened to. Considered. Maybe tweaked or adapted. All that jazz.
  2. I always kinda wanted an oceanic map. They could also make it look as if it's underwater, but with no "real water" and muffled shots. Or perhaps make a smart system where a closed off room will eject all water inside? I also feel that Impact needed some smart system to muffle shots but they didn't do that.

  5. Be sure to warn of spoilers for those books. Some folks may not have read them yet.
  6. I was thinking about some of the things in Halo 4 that seemed a bit out of place and some things that could be done that would make classic and modern players both happy. First off is: Why not bring back equipment alongside the AA's? AA's serve a tactical purpose for the player. Equipment always helped the player in a more direct way. It actually affected other players in a good way. Why not bring them back, but keep them out of loadouts? Power Drain, Flare, Radar Jammer, etc all would be great ordnance options instead of powerups that half the team can all get. Or if not in ordnance, put them on the map. Second: Why not bring in a real classic playlist? Slayer Pro sucks. I'm sorry, but we'd like to have a Halo 3 style classic playlist, not swat with shields. It made me mad when they said we'd get a classic playlist but they just throw a gametype in with no motion tracker. Classic has Motion tracker. Classic also has AR/Pistol loadouts and an alternate gametype for BRs. Keep in the Infinity Slayer, but include an alternate Team Slayer for a bit of classic fun. Third: I understand you want to decrease boosting. 343, I love you, but I am tired of hearing people complain that they have to sign in to waypoint to see their skill. I think if your internet is fast enough to play online, you should have no problem taking 3 seconds to click the bookmark but many folks like to see it right then and there. Just plop it in the player card so they'll shut up. I enjoyed the aspect, and I can live without it, but I can't live without it with all the complaining. Just plop it in game. Screw boosting. Monitor your game a little more or something, just quiet the crowd. Make sure to keep the progression system, though. That makes it fair for all. Fourth: I know that Halo 4 looks pretty good in general. What gets on my nerves is that if I look at a Hog within ten feet, the textures are noticeably bad. What makes it worse is that over that, I can see high-res scratches all over it. Why are the scratches so detailed when the whole thing isn't? And don't get me started on Ragnarok as an example. The towers are so High res, I can fully zoom on the floor with a sniper and it's still detailed. I go to the sand and, without zooming, I can see blur. Halo 3's sand looked better. I even checked. It is about twice as detailed. The models in this game are incredible but the textures are mostly just blurry. Hopefully Halo 5 does not have this... Fifth: Bring back some of the Halo 3 soundtrack. They did great with the credits. Why not bring more back and include it in the game alongside their new music? I get chills when I watch the credits. They almost disappear when 343's music comes in. I like the new soundtrack, but I want some of my familiar Halo noise. Sixth: I think packages should not affect shield recharge and crap like that. I think packages should only give extra perks like requisition or gunner. Things that barely affect the game. Shielding seems like something that would be standard as soon as it is developed. Resupply is a good idea, but it paved the path for choosing your 'nade in your loadout. Seventh and last: Grenades should not be an option in loadouts. I can't stand to play Infinity Slayer anymore. I have to play Big Team, Dominion, SWAT, or anything else. Infinity Slayer has turned into a playlist where everyone likes to stick you right before they die. I hate it. Everyone hates it. I find myself doing it. It does not work. Put 'nades back on the map. Either through ordnance or directly on the ground. No one worries about the PP and BR combo anymore, they worry about the Plasma Grenade n00bs. A once obscure group, PG n00bs now dominate Infinity Slayer. It's sad. I love Halo 4. I think 343 did great. It just has a few things done wrong and a few things needing improvement. These seven things are my most common problems and suggestions for Halo 5. Do you agree? No? Maybe? Discuss.
  7. A hornet. If I could choose more, I'd tag the Halo 3 scorpion, plasma rifle, AND spectre.
  8. Most of the new mechanics are fine. The killcams are a bit slack, but oh well. BTW, try to hold the Boltshot charge-shot for longer than three seconds. It DOES fire itself after about three seconds. You can't hold it all day. Where do you get that idea? Sure you can cancel the charge, but after it charges fully, it will fire unless you switch weapons. Exactly like the Railgun...
  9. You're getting a skill based system this month. It's viewable on waypoint but it is playlist specific. Like Halo 3. I seriously hate people who think the ranking system ruins the whole franchise...
  10. I want just a few things. This is Halo, not a super duper insane game. Forge: Limited terrain editing abilities, perhaps a bunch of points you can pull up and down. Only up and down. Or at least some terrain objects. MP: Just bring elites back so people will shut up about it. Make them separate like in Reach so that Swat can still be even and all that. Just put separate playlists for them. I'm tired of the constant banter about it. Give us a UNSC aerial vehicle again. One that hovers, and one that the driver can shoot with. Hell, a falcon with a chingun would suffice for me. SP: Give us some good animations. The end of Dawn was sadly pathetic until the ships collapsed into the planet. That's all.
  11. I think a Forge World remake would be excellent. A remake like Ragnarok for Forge world would be super. More water forging capabilities were available in Halo 3. Which is sad. I mean, so many maps relied on that water. Especially waterfront and city maps.

  13. Your service record clearly states that you've completed over 1000 War Games Matchmaking games? Now that is the one thing that makes hubs a terrible thing. Glitches and game content unlocks. Shame.
  14. Never had these glitches. First one can be solved by killing the hell out of all jackals as fast as possible I'd imagine. Second one? Try staying as far away from the entrance as you can to end the mission. Just my suggestions. 343 would have caught these by now you'd think...

  16. When I hit Pioneer-10, I figured the mod was barely useful. Then I realized that it makes 5 specs go as fast as only 4. Like skipping one but still getting it. So I use Fast Track compulsively. When I hit SR-130, my full combat capabilities will be revealed. You will all suffer on that day.

  17. Upset the balance? Moving a few extra feet at a slightly higher speed? No. Things are already upset. I don't want it for running, I need it for it's advertised purpose. As it is, It's simply a trick tool. Now, if it thrusted in the direction you are looking, I could look past the small and slow movement. Say I jump and need just a few more inches of height or distance. Thruster pack simply goes down and I fail my jump worse than if I chose to not use it. If it did that, I'd take the distance and speed as is.
