Now, Spartans were used for many things. Not just combat. Maybe they had to go in and scan some important glyphs or tech? Now, I know a lot of you hate the new looks of the helmets, but like I have said many times before, Spartans are super-soldiers, not fashion models. They are for work. They are supposed to be utilitarian, not pretty. These helmets look like they actually serve a purpose instead of looking good. Though, you'd think that in 540-something years, we'd have good enough tech to make smaller scanners that could be within the helmets anyway. :|

I don't know, I think the storm group wouldn't be out of contact for that many years. It's possible, but I just think they were so shocked by the covenant's defeat, that they refused to let their beliefs fall like that. We'll see. And kudos for the find.

I don't think it's the Didact. He didn't hate humans after their defeat. Heck, he sacrificed all forerunners to save the humans and other species. If forerunners really thought Humans were no good, they would have done the same as they did to the Precursors. I only ponder one question. I never knew why the forerunners didn't index a few of their own kind. Was it because they didn't want to, or was it because they felt their time was over?

Listen, we all need to stop this. Have we gone insane? I respect opinions and debates, but this is ridiculous. Listen, the ranking system does not determine matchings, and if you need a number to determine your rank, try BPR in Waypoint until Halo 4 comes out. They should have had BPR in the first place. Your opinion is yours, and I respect that. Now, lets discuss this. No one said Halo 4's system will be bad. They just hope it actually helps show skill. What's the harm in that? Now, we need to realize something, a mix of the two ranking systems is actually very good. 1: You earn something while you play to rank up. 2: You can likely rank down. Meaning some skill has to be required to get top rank. Either way, Professional Gaming is considered a sport just as Nascar or Football is. But it isn't a physical sport. Sports aren't all physical, they are just competitive games. Every one of them. Even war could be considered a sport were it not so brutal. Which is why we have Airsoft. This discussion needs to calm down before mods get involved. I will not hesitate to begin reporting, myself.

Okay, for the real answer? Imagine Halo 3 with sprint, and very well balanced AA's and loadouts. Everything is well balanced, and you have the classic feeling again. But fresh.

Most people who get dedicated with no bans pretty much deserve one. It's a title, not a medal. It describes you, not your actions here. I agree that it should be slightly exclusive, but it isn't going to change your life of status here. It's not something that should be overly special.
