  1. Red doesn't only mean corruption. It also signals combat mode.
  2. How much experience do you have with leading clans? What is the main purpose or action of your clan?
  3. I'd hope I snapped. What would you do if you were on the way to your Xbox to pop Halo 4 in for the first time, and some dude breaks in and snaps it in two?
  4. John is a Spartan II. His armor was designed to withstand a lot of damage. Remember, they thought he was dead. He knocked himself out good. Spartan IV's are made cheaply. Their armor is likely not as well as John's is against falling. Still, I think Reach's fall damage was a bit much. I think the death height should be twice as high as it was for Reach. Yes, all through the mission, Noble 6 had a re-entry unit on his/her back in the cutscenes.
  5. I know they are A.I.'s. But how do we know that some of them aren't meant to be orange? The Cryptum that we saw had orange on it, but it could just be normal for that area of Forerunner work. Remember 049 Abject Testament from Halo CEA terminals? How he was red? And the other monitors with various colors such as green, etc from the CEA terminals? Orange may very well be the inferior and less advanced Promethean A.I.'s
  6. Does no one remember that Noble 6 had a re-entry unit? Even a regular Marine is meant to survive with one of those.
  7. I forgot about regedit. I tried that before, but it hates windows 7. I should probably try an alternative program. Thanks.
  8. Ah...I was wondering what the mess on "Ranked" playlists was all about.
  9. Is there a way to fix the "Your CD key is invalid." problem in Halo Custom Edition when I try to join a game on Windows 7? Something besides re-installing, since i have done it twice. It was working fine before... (My cousin, friend, and I all use my key, so yes, it is a shared key.) And please, don't hesitate to use any resources available to help a poor soul out. I'm sad that my alternate Halo fun time is butchered.
  10. Looks like they can't be ODST's. They have to be Spartans. The visor color for that helmet is the same in the pic and that video.
  11. I know chief is still MK VI but it is heavily upgraded. Even physically. Nanotech.
  12. This info is nowhere to be found. Where did you get this impression? I can immediately say that SP are not what help you rank up. You get XP based on kills, medals, etc. You only get a set amount of SP each time you rank up. See, you earn XP to rank up, and you get SP when you do rank up. I do not know if you can rank down, but it seems likely that deaths, getting assassinated, etc would TAKE XP. That would be more realistic based on what 343 have shown and said. They stated, "1-50 numbers are not returning." Therefore, what you have stated seems unlikely.
  13. I think the Crysis style to the armor really makes it look like it augments the user's strength. In past Halo's, the armor looked like an armored Astronaut, Cosmonaut, etc. I love the realistic approach to things. The armors look like they serve their purposes this time. Example: Hazop actually looks like it might protect you from toxicity. (Ugly too.)
  14. Can someone point me to where it says that orange signals corruption in Forerunners? Thanks. Alright, now I think it is very much like the jackals and Elites. Their colors have no effect on their alliances. The blue ones may simply be more powerful Promethean A.I.? Anyone else think of that one?
  15. Those are not Armor Effects. Just a skin. If it's animated, it can be classified as an Armor Effect as Halo imagines them. If it is static, it isn't really an effect. Unless it does some weird filter to your colors.
  16. Well, it is nearly gone in Halo 4. Besides, with it nearly gone, it will likely be just like in previous halo games, just visible.
  17. I think the falcon ought to have a light machine gun for the driver. I couldn't stand when my gunners were focusing on the scenery instead of the obvious rocketeer locking on.
  18. I'm gonna say that most beat downs happen when players either can't kill each other fast enough or when the players meet at a random corner. People always say that there are so many corner campers. Honestly, in all of my experience with Halo 3 and Reach, I have run into these type of guys less than 3% of the time. While many people hate when these guys show up, it happens less than people hype it up to. It is a problem that is not as common as people say. Therefore, I think SWAT is fine with the 2 hits that it requires. For the simple fact that these guys do exist, and that I bet a Spartan can stand at least one good punch from another spartan. AND it gives people a chance to react.
  19. Immersion? Really? Do you honestly get immersed in a Halo match? I can't get really immersed in a Halo game while I am constantly getting dragged into a lobby. Red Dead Redemption had a good idea. Just let the lobbies be a multiplayer space. I think Reach's armor effects were either stupid, like the death ones, or cumbersome, like pestilence, or advantageous, like Inclement weather. They were executed poorly. I think they can be done better. I like the idea of them. It adds a bit of spice to the otherwise bland and common armor pieces.
  20. Tallgeese is right. The suits can do that. I'm sure systems can calculate more efficient ways to do things and then upgrade the suit to those specs. Besides, chief's suit isn't made of regular cloth.
  21. Now, In Halo 2 and 3, there were no real high maps that needed fall damage. Getting out of a banshee way up in the sky may have been deadly, but it happened rarely. In Halo 1 and Reach, there were high places in maps. I think having it as an option in game options and custom powerups would be great for classic and ODST maps respectively.
