You guys REALLY need to stop saying "clip", it's called a MAGAZINE! I can't believe the author of Glass lands kept calling it a clip! Now that I'm done with that, I think the AR in Halo 4 (if there is one) should be the Reach version with a 40 round MAGAZINE and slightly higher damage. Assuming we will be fighting the same type of flood as we did in 1-3, the magazine needs to be larger than 32 rounds. We should also be able to head shot with 2 rounds by lining up on somethings head. This would be difficult to do or else it would be omnipotent. Something I've always wanted in Halo are AP or shredder rounds. Ones that are more rare in the campaign but deal higher damage.

I noticed that 2. if you take the warthog in the silent cartographer you can drive out the other islands and screw around on them. One even has a secret sniper rifle.

That is probably because anniversary's engine will not be compatible with the Halo 4 engine. I guessing it will be downloadable, like the battlefield 3 beta.

All the books say that Spartans can run like 40 miles per hour. I think it would be cool if the Mark VII armor let us do this. Or at least does something to improve chiefs mobility...

The Official Halo 4 Forge Thread
GlobalHawk722 replied to RussianPenguin's topic in Forge Discussion
I would like to see the return of individual magazines from halo CE, the ones that just lay on the ground by themselves. I thought those were pretty cool... -
In general duel wield is a good concept. But it needs to be highly inaccurate if it is put in halo 4, in reality, duel wielding weapons means you cant hit anything let alone what you're aiming at. Again, i like the concept but in order to stay congruent with the changing style of halo it needs to be made more inaccurate.

A disadvantage (or two) should be included in a kick animation.First off, it would probably require an animation. not as long as the one for an assassination but definitely something to tie you up in it for a split second and make you vulnerable to outside attacks. It would also be available for use in limited situations, since you need room to perform a powerful kick you would have to be at least 5 feet from your opponent and if you were closer you would simply perform a regular melee.

Come on guys, you are interpreting the swimming to literally. I don't want the ability to swim like Michael Phelps, just the ability to get out of, or cross deep water without drowning. If Spartans can survive in space the should certainly be able to withstand 10 feet of water.

No, i want a weapon that is as realistic as possible. I loved the DMR because it was the first "sniper weapon" introduced in Halo that wasn't a 1 shot kill. It is also tremendously powerful at close to medium range if you know how to use it, put it would be interesting if 343 dded the ability to "spray" with it rather than just spam the trigger. Any way, i don't think has ever been a real weapon invented that can fire 3 round bursts but not semi-automatically....

Get to Cover: Damage and blast radius of grenades is increased by 300$
-
Need for Speed: Increases the players speed and jump height by 50%
-
Logically, they should make weapon using the best features of both the BR and the DMR. A rifle which can be set to fire on either precision long range semi-automatic mode or 3 round burst suppressive fire mode. If they do this, it would probably become my favorite weapon of all time, for any game. This rifle would own everything in campaign and eliminate the need to start with two weapons in multiplayer.

Not even the ability to swim (or at least survive water)!? The Sandbox has been the same for so long man! it needs something new!

I love this idea, but i think for it to work we would need a more diverse selection of flood forms. The current types of flood are all matched to single weapon that is most effective against them. In order to have game-play similar to that in fire fight, new, more versatile flood combat forms need to be designed.

What are everyone's ideas for some cool new sandbox features in Halo 4. Things which we have always thought would have been cool. Some of my ideas: Climbing- When you stand near a steep object or incline (like a tall crate or cliff) you are given a command prompt to climb the object. Swimming- I've always thought it was the stupidest thing that you couldn't swim, and that you actually drowned in 6 feet of water. I can understand that bungie was using the water a parameter for game-play but if Halo 4 has the massive maps we expect it to they need to let Spartans swim. For example, when you walk past your head in water you stow your weapon and use both hands to swim, steering and thrusting with the left and right sticks. if you wanted to swim underwater, 343 could limit that ability by giving you only 20 seconds of air or something. Going Prone- This really needs to be included. I mean, some people might argue that that is "to COD", but what kind of soldier never goes prone in battle. It drastically improves your sniping accuracy and is a good way to get out of the crossfire if you need to regain your shields. Kicking- An interesting melee attack if the controls are right. Kicking would deal more damage then a standard melee and could be instituted by holding down the melee and trigger at the same time. What does everyone think? Some new actions in Halo 4 would be nice and i would like everybody who reads this to give their opinions.

Mine all involve grenades. Like tossing a **** load of frags with bandanna and boom enabled and having the explosion from one grenades bounce the next grenade back me and kill me. Or sticking a plasma to a flood infection form (the little jumping things) which proceeds to follow you and kill you with your own grenade. Note, don't throw plasmas when there are allot of those around...

Personally i would spend $60 just for the campaign...

Official Skull Locations Guide
GlobalHawk722 replied to ObligatoryFate's topic in Halo CE + Anniversary
The Bandanna Skull (unlimited ammo and grenades) is in the control room in the silent cartographer. After you activate the control panel, leave the facility and go get the rocket launcher dropped by the downed warthog. This is right below the platform with the 3 over shields (you will need one). Grab the rocket but do not lose your overshield as you reenter the control room because you will need it all. When you are facing the control panel from the entrance hall way, leave the room though the door to your right. You should see a infinite drop. turn right again and you will see the top of the hallway you just came through to get to the control panel. The skull is up there so youll have to rocket jump to it. line up on the closest flat area on the top of the hallway (dont jump onto the slanted area. Point the rocket at your feet and pull the rigger right after you run forward and jump. -
Even the odds: Effect: Enemy AI have limited ammo just like you. (AI's would have to be smarter...) Dont tell me im the only one who dislikes elites firing their fuelrod guns at you and never running out of ammo.
-
I think it would be interesting if he gets some forerunner armor (the kind described in Halo: Cryptum), he is after all, probably going to be fighting infected forerunners...
-
I think 6 years is enough. If they cant do it in that amount of time than they should just quit. Anyways, i want to play it before i go to college so 2012 is fine with me.

Boats, lol. How about a armored personnel carrier.

Some of you argue against bloom saying that you miss even when you are lined up perfectly on your target. News for you. THE SAME THING HAPPENS TO EVERYONE, STOP BITCHING! Do you think bloom makes it easier for noobs to line up on you when you are running, HELL NO!
-
What all you guys are saying is total BS. How does spamming the trigger occur only when bloom is present. By adding bloom, bungie prevented trigger spamming by making it less effective. Bloom makes your weapon act like a real gun would (recoil from a shot throws you out of alignment a little). What is wrong with you noobs, do you have a 3 years old's comprehension of physics or something!!!???
