Agreed. If you don't like players who use strategy, to bad. My advice, fight fire with fire, do a little camping yourself. This being said, the only time i ever camp is if i am defending an objective or if i have a sniper rifle. And, admit it, what the hell else are you supposed to do with a sniper rifle!!!!????

I don't get it. If everyone likes the old halo so much, go play the old halo, or ask for halo 2 MM with updated graphics. if halo is to survive in the world of gaming it NEEDS INNOVATION!!!

Don't know what you mean by reach having a little arsenal... It has like 3 times more weapons than CE did, or 2, or 3. I to think duel wielding is cool but i am not in love with it. The accuracy when duel wielding is greatly over exaggerated. As a matter of fact, it is practically impossible to hit anything when trying to aim down two weapons at once.

What i meant by "knowing more about chief" was not that i wanted to know the color of his eyes, hair, what his face looks like, etc. But for a more intimate (no pun intended) side of him. Maybe have him show some emotion or something.

In 2003, almost everyone at my school who had an xbox played halo. Now, they all play cod or battlefield and only 3 of my friends even play halo at all.... This is backed up by research as well.

In many ways, Halo 4 will either commit the franchise to darkness and failure, or transform it into something the likes of which have never been seen in the history of gaming. As most people know, halo has pretty much been left in CoD's dust for a few obvious reasons. 1. The story of the game has remained the same for nearly 10 years 2. As have the weapons 3. The game-play has also remained equivalent to Halo CE when it was released in 2001. The thing that pisses me off the most is how people complain on the forums "we want the old halo back, like halo 2 and 3", as far as I'm concerned those people can go shove it and play halo 3. Seriously, if you want the same game-play as your old games, go play your old games! Games (like most things) change and evolve as time progresses. there is a reason for this, new breakthroughs allow innovation and real gamers get tired of playing the same damn multiplayer 6 games in a row. Take armor abilities for example, i hear so many people bich about them and frankly i don't know why. They are a well thought out addition to a franchise whose multiplayer was becoming far to monotonous. Now back to my initial point. As far as i am concerned (and i am pretty sure i will be proved correct in one year) Halo 4 either needs to go BIG, or go home. If the game releases in 2012 and is even remotely similar to halo 3 or reach, it will fail. the percentage of FPS gamers who primarily play halo has dropped exponentially over the years because everyone is going over to COD. Because, COD innovates, and when they do change up major aspects of the game, no one biches about it. In order for Halo to reverse this trend and begin regaining players rather than losing them, Halo 4 needs to land in the bulls eye! 1. The Story mode has to Knock you off your feet when you first play it. After 6 games fighting the covenant we need a totally new enemy. one who acts and reacts completely differently. 2. The campaign needs to have complete freedom of mobility (no kill zones or 5 feet of water that you cant swim in) sort of like sky rim, where any place you can see, you can walk, drive, or fly to. 3. The scenery needs to be COMPLETELY destructible for gods sake! its pathetic that the only items you can react with are boxes, propane tanks, a alien ostriches! Trees should be destroyed by rocket launchers, windows should be broken by plasma no matter what they are made of, grass should catch fire, walls knocked in by grenades, players head shotted by infrared sniper rifles when camping behind a Sheetrock wall! Come on, i cant be the only one with this opinion!? 4. We need more insight into master chief as a person. he is one of the most blank, emotionless characters in all of gaming history in one of the top games of all time. Some flash backs to his child hood would be a nice addition. 5. Game play needs to be completely free (reach did this fairly well). If you want to drive that car, you should be able to. wanna skydive of that cliff with your jet pack, by all means go for it. wanna go swimming, sure. 6. Halo 4 needs new weapons, badly. 10 years of firing a assault rifle or plasma rifle gets real boring. It also need different vehicles. Many of you may want to kill me after reading this, saying that i am a traitor to the franchise. But just think about it. If you loved halo 3 stop asking for it over again, go play halo 3. Stop getting stuck in past for gods sake. Open your minds to something new! Please deliver for us 343, we all need it, even if some of us don't know it yet....

In general, no, i dont hate them. For example, sprint should be equip t at ALL times! who cant run? and it should be faster, in the halo books spartans can run 30 mph. jet pack should have fuel not recharge times anyway. and evade should stay. i couldnt care less about he others. -
make the armor do something! equip light weight armor for a 10% increase in speed and jump height and a 10% decrease in damage resistance and vice versa, up armored variants should do just that while decreasing you mobility. this would put a nice twist on matchmaking

I dont kow why everyone gives armor abilites so much ****, seriously! have any of you ever seen the you tube video where a guy using evade dives over a rocket and kills the firer with a sword? that was possibly the coolest thing ive ever seen in halo. The only people who complain about armor abilites are the ones that get their asses whooped by people using them. What i would do with armor abilties. leave evade exactly as it is leave sprint how it is but make it last longer jetpack should have fuel not a recharge time, so when you run out, its useless. armor lock should last 4 seconds not 7 drop shield is fine hologram is fine but should not be included in matchmaking active camo should have a shorter use time and a longer recharge time, so snipers cannot camp with it.

i agree that blood gultch (or hemmorhage) should be in CEA. the current btb maps have no large vehicles which pisses me off. My k/D for the wraith and scorpion are both 15/1 +

Btw man, bloom refers to reticle bloom (reticle gets larger with each consecutive shot), not decreasing accuracy as you fire.

i seriously don't know why everyone hates on bloom! it makes the game realistic. if you are firing at a target 100 yards away and your gun never moves, something is wrong! Seriously, all boom does is separate the trigger spamming noobs from the guys that know how to play FPS games.

My first impression of this game was that it was beautiful! i love the campaign and the only things i wish they would fix in it are the vehicle physics, after playing reach, the controls for the warthog are less than satisfactory. The multi player maps are gorgeous as well. Sometimes when i play on ridge line i feel like dropping my weapon and going camping. That being said, the new sky boxes are by far the best additions, high noons sky box is absolutely EPIC!!! One thing Ive noticed is that the maps without armor abilities (timberland instead of ridge line) have WAY more power weapons. Ridge line has 2 snipers, 2 rockets, and 1 spartan laser, while timberland has 4 snipers, 2 rockets, 1 spartan laser, 2 fuel rod guns, and 2 grenade launchers. Isn't this kinda contradictory? i would think they would put more weapons on the maps that allowed armor abilities so you would have a better chance of surviving them. A con of multiplayer is the magnum, seriously, 3 shot kill!? its a noob weapon. About a year ago i watched a bungie vid doc where bungie explained that when they were making reach, they tried to balance the weapons so that no one weapon is effective in all situations. This is why in my opinion, reach's multiplayer was so good, (except for armor lock). 343 totally screwed this over with the magnum. if anything, its magazine should be reduced, damage reduced to 4 shots, or rate of fire slowed significantly.

Somehow i doubt we will experience forerunner in halo 4. Maybe the last precursor that was mentioned though...

Ability to alter terrain would increase the space required to save the map 100 fold... especially if you added the ability to cut pieces of blocks -
After reading halo: Cryptum (which i highly recommend), i think it would be amazing if we could fight some precursors. Their physical description from the book makes them seem like some formidable enemies.

an interesting game type would be Flood Zombies, effectively like zombies from COD except where you have to survive endless waves of the flood. This is so logical i cant believe no on has though of it yet (game designers). thoughts?

I agree about reach having a bad ranking system. Ranks should be based on your K/D and what percent of your games you win, maybe also on what types of medals you earn in each match (killing sprees, double kills, etc.) Other than that i love the game, except for abilities like Armor lock and av cam, evade and sprint are awsome!

The first one is amazing, that title screen by itself would add a really epic aspect to the game, especially with the Inception music ("Time" by Hans Zimmer). I would pay $100 for the game just to see this title screen whenever i played.

Personally, i hope we get a completely new set of weapons in Halo 4, ones which function completely differently from those we have now. It would also be interesting if John gets some bad a s s forerunner armor...

Some nice Additions to forge: -Fuel Rod Shade Turret (the standard ones are effectively useless) -Water Craft, like an assault boat, with say, one or two turrets mounted on it. This would make for some interesting game types... -UNSC weapon racks (like those in campaign), where you could highlight a slot, and then select a weapon to place there, much easier than than placing fixed weapons on the walls! -
i would sure as hell like a remake!
