So you can keep them from other games and use them in warzone, it seems like you can't use them right at the beginning, thank god. But still, if I start a warzone and I don't have any cards, will I get rekt by people who stacked up cards ? If there is one thing in the whole halo franchise that kept me playing is the fairness of the game, beating someone because he suck with a controller is awesome, beating someone because you had more luck/cards/exp/levels/guns/money than him is not, not at all, and its even worst the other way around. The only reason I stopped playing titanfall is because of the rare burn cards, people just stack them, use them all at once and you have absolutely no chance, or at least a big disadvantage... I'm all in for a progression system with levels within the same game like any moba, you get more kills, whatever, you get the scorpion, but I don't want to be stuck with a ghost, even though I did well in the game while someone else got the scorpion because he saved the card for this specific game. Pretty much everyone disliked Halo 4 ordnance, why in hell do you think this is a better idea, its exactly the same, except you can keep them to use it in a later game, which everyone will do, so lets say you don't play as much as most people, or you didn't get lucky with the req packages, its just like ordnance, except people get to choose what they get and you are stuck with ****ty stuff. Please tell me I am wrong and its not how req cards work.

Hmm, 343 doesnt look at this forum at all ? If not, I didnt knew, why not lol ? Isnt the community a very important aspect for the game developpers, either for free ideas or balance ? Well, I liked reach when it came out, but soon I realised that I was lying to myself and I didnt really liked it, it was the worst halo of all imo and its mainly because of the bloom.

A playlist with the following: -no sprint -no RNG factors at all, like ordnances -no perks or abilities -1-50 ranks Yes you will probably say that I want halo 2/3, in all honesty, I do, I still play and prefer halo 3 over all halo's but the servers are laggy and the engine could be much better and there not much players left, halo reach was crap and you know it, the bloom was the worst idea in the history of halo, halo 4 was much better, I played a lot but finally gave up because of the lack of a competitive playlist.

the hell lol ? anyone know any good reason why they removed the most awesome medal ever ? and splatter spree

yeah mybad lol, I said correct me if im wrong because I wasnt sure, still it doesnt change my point, the BR must be better than the DMR in close range.

At the same time, I dont think they can fix kill wh*res for all playlists since CTF is really team-oriented and people who play alone, even if they go for the flag, will be penalized if they use the same system as I suggested for FFA throwback. There probably a different solution for team-objectives games though.

Obvious troll is obvious... stop feeding him.

So yeah, there one thing that bother me since halo 2, the halo community is divided in half in objectives competitive matchmaking. There are the good players who want to win, have fun and there the kill wh*res, who are as good as the other players, but just play to get kills and dont score any flag, oddball or koth points. This is something that will screw the fun out of FFA throwback for a lot of players. How to fix it ? its simple, when you look at someone service record, there should be a new tab named, FFA throwback and it show the percentage of your games that you finished first, second, third, etc, as well as your k/d ratio for this playlist, that is not counted in your overall k/d ratio. This way, everyone will actually try to win instead of just having the most kills regardless of the objective. Anyone who is a bit competitive care about their stats, especially the stats that everyone can see by looking in your service record, and the only thing that show a player skills right now is the k/d ratio, wich is totally fine for slayers, but not for objectives games.

Yes, the DMR is harder to aim but when you dont miss any shots, its better than the BR, maybe the BR is better for most of you, but for good players against good players, its definately the DMR that is better, in any range. I can already see the MLG playlist being DMR only unless 343 do something. The DMR is better in long range and I totally agree with this, but being better in close range is not cool at all, especially that the BR is meant to be better in close range... The main problem with the BR is that it take 15 rounds (5 bursts) exactly to kill someone (correct me if im wrong) and with the small lag and randomness in halo, it makes the BR almost always a 6 shot kill weapon, unless in melee range or with the host. Here how i'd fix it, make it 4.3 shot (13 rounds), this way, it will make the BR always 5 shot and will make it better against damaged targets, making it a more reliable and better weapon in close-mid range.

you can get 100games of double exp on ebay for 15$ just saying
-
I prefer the BR by far, unfortunately, the DMR is way better....
-
And dont forget about the grenade indicator thing, at first I thought it was a bad thing since grenades will be even easier to avoid, but thinking again about it, ''random lucky'' grenades will be easier to avoid too. I just think that they will be used mainly defensively like halo reach instead of offensively like halo 2/3, maybe that will change, I also noticed that grenades explode faster, maybe to match the faster-paced action in halo 4 compared to other halo's. I always been a big fan of grenades and it was of the main reason I stopped playing reach, hopefully they will make them right in halo 4.
-
You're right, people wont be throwing them like mad now that they will be rarer. I guess ill wait and see, any other grenade trigger-happy like me prefered halo 2/3 grenades than halo reach by far ? I always liked grenades but in halo reach, I was only using them defensively instead of offensively.

For the love of god, dont make grenades like halo reach. From halo 2/3 to halo reach, they made grenades do more damage and have a smaller radius, mix that with the sprint and grenades become totally random and based on luck. Dont make this mistake again... please... The reason why im making this thread is because I just watched a halo 4 video and grenades look exactly like halo reach. here: look at 2:02 and 2:27 (the second one is just sad, he was at like 1 feet from the explosion and barely lost 1/6 of his shield) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMvtBXWlqX4&feature=g-all-lik here a small picture I made to illustrate how grenades are made in halo 2/3 compared to halo reach. (sorry for my poor ms pain skills lol) What I meant with: i'd even increase the radius because of sprint is that with sprint, you can run much faster (and everyone will have sprint in halo 4) and you can avoid grenades much easier... thats why in halo 4, they should keep the halo 2/3 grenade and even increase the radius. In halo reach, not everyone were using sprint, so it was a matter of choice and it was cool this way (still would have kept halo 2/3 grenades) until sprint was used by 95% of the entire halo reach population, it became just so easy to avoid and so frustrating to die from a totally lucky randomly thrown grenade. I always liked grenades in halo because they take skills to throw and it take a long time to masterize. but since halo reach, I only use them to block someone, by throwing grenades at my feets I force him to either explode in it or leave me run away. wich was something I used to do in halo 2/3 as well, but most of the time I was using them strategically to kill not to throw them randomly hoping I get lucky and get a kill or maybe someone run out of sprint right after I throw my grenade... or maybe turn a corner right into my random grenade. thanks for reading and sorry for my english.

I got nothing against the assault rifle, especially with the bleed-through (that they removed unfortunately), Its the pistol, you have no choice to use it in long range because your not going to shoot with your AR from far away, the pistol have just enough (or almost) bullets to get 1 kill, if you spam the pistol, it is entirely based on luck and you have just enough bullets to kill 1 guy, its basically impossible to do a double kill by your own especially if you have no grenades. With the dmr, you can, there plenty of bullets, the bloom isnt that bad, the gun is not based on luck (well, much less) when you spam it, you have way more chance to survive with a DMR against power weapons than a pistol. Everytime the game start, everyone rush power weapons, its normal, if you dont have one, you are stuck with your pistol against people with DMR's and other power weapons, at least, when everyone start with a dmr, it is way more fair and this is all we (I) want, a game that is fair with the less luck possible involved. I agree, but it doesnt mean I will play infection because im good at anything, it doesnt mean I prefer the pistol over the DMR because im good with it. Why do you think there no pistol/ar start in any MLG since halo 2 ? Because the DMR is more competitive than other guns that you may start with. Dont want to be a ****, but go read again my definition of good competitive players. You have 1.32 k/d, you never did any arenas, you mostly play big team battle, living dead and invasion. you are not one of us. (and before someone say: speak for yourself, im talking about good competitive players who always vote for DMR/pro over anything else and I know there a ton) this.
-
''Let people play what they want to play'' every game the good players vote for a dmr start and the noobs vote for a non dmr start. im getting sick of that, I like to play alone, I dont want to be forced to play with a team if I want the gametypes I want. Im removing the poll, I forgot how every halo players, no matter how bad they are, will think they are good competitive players making my poll pointless. Im going to do an anylisis and prove it, good players vote for dmr and good, symetric, competitive maps and noobs vote for crap, all the time. If you like infection, no problem, im not gonna play the playlist anyway, if you like grifball, same thing, but if you like elite slayer, non dmr boardwalk slayers, then, there should be a playlist so I dont play it. I love halo and I still manage to get a dmr start game most of the time when playing with my friend, but everytime we get a ton of noobs in our game, we're doomed, they will vote for everything except what we want, when I say WE I mean the real competitive players.

Every single time I start a game, there three categories of players: the noobs/casuals, the competitive players, and the good competitive players. Noobs/casuals players vote for pretty much anything, with a preference for boardwalk, swordbase and non dmr games, elite slayers, juggernaut, infection they also like to use the armor lock and invisibility whenever they can. Competitive players vote for what they like but couldnt care less if they start with a dmr or not, as long as its not a gametype or map they hate. Good competitive players ALWAYS vote for dmr/pro games and mostly for countdown/zealot/powerhouse. We have arena and MLG, true, but nothing to play alone or to play to practice. (because everyone would agree that playing MLG without a team of 4 or at least 3 is not really fun, and arenas alone are sometimes frustrating, especially if you dont have a mic or dont speak english) There is two things we (competitive players) want: -MLG FFA (or some competitive DMR only FFA with no armor lock/ camo) -DMR only playlist (except MLG and arena, there no DMR only playlist) im getting sick of these noob friendly updates. Since 343 industries took control of Halo Reach, everything went much better than before and im really happy with that, its just that they dont seem to understand how the halo community is divided in 2 and why a lot of people quit halo since halo reach and also why halo isnt popular at MLG like it used to be. Good competitive players are good players that play for fun but mostly to win, they dont want luck to be involved in the game and especially want a game that is fair. And I say good because im talking about good competitive players, you can be competitive but not like a lot of us are, good competitive players are onyx players and/or players with a k/d of 1.7+ in matchmaking (matchmaking = anything but arena/MLG) and im not talking about k/d wh0res, try hard kids and campers. In halo 2/3, pretty much all gametypes were competitive, you had BR start game all the time, you had levels on almost all gametypes, you had no bloom. I dont want 343 industries to remake the entire game just for the small portion of good competitive players, but give us at least one of these two things thank you for reading and sorry for my english

no mlg ffa... no dmr only playlist... grifball and infection updated... thanks for feeding the noobs we want %'s ! a signifiant portion of halo reach players like everything doesnt even make sense.

If you want to keep the sprint, I got no problem with it but since you guys want to make it the most fast paced halo game, well I really would like to be able to shoot very fast after sprinting, not like halo reach where it take a good 2seconds before you can do anything. Something else are the grenades.. put back the halo 2/3 grenades ! especially with the sprint and the face faced, the halo reach grenade is way more precise and its not that its harder to aim a grenade but its more based on luck. sry for my english
