I have a $50 USB capture card that I use. Anything you see on your TV can be captured as long as it runs through the xbox. All you need is 3 composite Y cable connectors so you can split off from your TV to your computer. So...xbox to TV, TV to computer USB cc.I wonder, is their a way we could possible save our games from theatre mode to a USB then transfer them to a computer for editing? That would be amazing.
-
Yeah, I know what you mean, my $50 USB Hauppauge went down and I'm currently using a $12 cc, lol. I'll be glad when I get the good one back.I Appreciate the views! =] I am working towards another capture card so I can get into Video Editing and Montages.

Good postJust imagine though: the skyline of Metropolis, the awe of a submerged Forerunner temple network, the vibrant colors of a Covenant holy city, and the unholy majesty of the Gravemind, all revamped into HD. That is something to look forward to.I just wish the anniversary was a year from now instead of two. I want Halo 5 to come quicker.

Here's a good read about the 10 year anniversary of Live (today) by some of the original H2 team from Bungie:
http://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2012-11-15-xbox-live-turns-10
One guy said he didn't think Live would have made it without H2.

Well, 3 things...starting @ 1:37, somehow you got crouched and then you did a backward jump, I didn't understand it, I've never seen a backward jump. I just watched that doorway thing again, @ 1:47 it seems like there's something in the opening that gives you the crouch. @ 2:08 you bounced when you were off-level, I'm not sure if I've ever seen that before either. I'm not a superbounce expert but I've always liked to watch them. How far into the video, or what map was it on that you seen that?
You are pro
-
Yeah, real cool vid. What was that at the doorway, it looked like you got your crouch from a 90 degree opening or what?I made this Super bounce video back about 6 years ago. This video was for the strategical superbounces in the maps. Whatcha think!?
-
Yup, we sure do pal. Nov. of 2014 would suffice.Do you guys realize that if they are planning to do a H2:Anniversary, that the earliest we'd see it is 2014?
-
Agreed and that's a good reason for an anniversary edition...people like me will then stop talking about it whether it's a good remaster or not. If they don't give us Live back, then you will see a real 'split in the community' like MS says they are trying to avoid.HALO 2 Remake??? kind of skeptical not sure you can ever re-create the magic and epicness that was Halo 2 from multiplayer to campagin no doubt the best halo make that one of the best games of all time the game that got xbox live started
If they do remaster H2, then instead of talking about a remake/remaster, we will talk about how great or crappy the remake/remaster was...just like any game, new or old.
I believe that you are right about not being able to recreate but they did OK with CEA CMP, they mostly left it alone. MP is another story altogether.
-
Lol, for every Halo game the gamemaker thinks they have solved collision and physics detection problems only to find out how resourceful the players are, turret bumping through walls still work and as far as I know we still 'ram' as you call it. Very little changed between CE and CEA, as far as doing glitches are concerned. We find a way around the fixes. I'd say that superbounces will not work again but there's a possibility they might, there's more than one way to skin a cat and like I said, all collisions glitches work so far for me although certain adjustments are needed.Yes the likely hood of super-bouncing being in a remastered version is almost zero. To enlighten a few people, super-bouncing was an error with physics and collision detection during certain areas (portals) or a map structure. The game basically failed to detect that had hit the ground, and instead placed your collision position inside the floor. The resulting reaction from the engine was to force the player in the opposite direction to release the player from the ground, or whatever object he/she had been detected inside of.
When the game is remastered, certain aspects will fail to work as we saw in CEA. where some glitches did not operate the same way. Since they would be remastering it to work with a newer engine that the Blam! v2 variant, it is only logical that the Havok code processing the collision and physics detection would be updated for maximum compatibility, rending certain glitches like super-bouncing, or ramming a player through a barrier useless.

When H2 was released we played 3 days straight, took a break and then played for another 3 days straight.I'm proud of what I did
-
Like you said, only the rumor is confirmed, nothing else. I hope they do give us a remake with all superbounces (superjumps are the same in case nubs are reading) intact although they can leave out things like real life jumping and real life bouncing. You make a fair point about a little bit of pump action, but it's like 2 pages worth. And internet "pump action" tends to go on for Pages! to make "novels" which in turn leads to book shevles and etc... point is....
Yes have a spirited conversation, but please do not lose sight of the main topic at hand.
I doubt they would leave the superbounces in, if they do give us the old MP back. At least in CE they left the CMP basically intact, glitches and all but Reach MP for CEA was terrible imo.
-
Lol you are the one who had to look them up, not me. Don't call me names, it doesn't look good in print and don't apologize unless you mean it.Oh I'm sorry, unlike you, I'm not a halo 2 no life who did all the glitches and played online. Also, what's the difference between a bounce and jump? You don't even know
- 1
-
You are out of your mind kid, a superbounce and a superjump are the same in Halo 2...that is what we are talking about. Stay on subject if you are going to quote me.a jump is the release of the potential force, a bounce is the kinectic motion of the potential force still in motion.
-
I just did. Perhaps you can explain how superjumps and superbounces differ?he means?? You can't directly say his thoughts for something not said.
-
He means MP superbouncing, old skool:you mean sputnik skull?
-
Agreed, is should be the operative word. We are still getting to places to explore...last moth I finally made it into the Sacred Icon Green Door room lol. Every time I play I see or find something new."was?" Saying past tense implies the possiblity that it isn't any longer and that is not possible...LOL

Yeah, there's a few CE lovers that could not/would not make the transition to H2. I felt H2 picked up where CE left off and took Halo to a higher level. Both are great games...I still play H2 a lot but play CE rarely.I thought Halo2 had the WORST campaign out of all of them. After having been in love with CE's campaign then being so excited to play Halo2 I must say I was pretty let down. It just didn't have the same feel as CE and the level design wasn't too appealing. I did like Outskirts/Metropolis and Delta Halo/Regret but after those levels I thought the game went downhill.
No such thing as 'worst' level...more like 'less great'.
-
This was the vid that captured me for H2. I can never run by that Pelican on the beach without thinking of this one. Some of you may have seen it but yeah this a Deleted Scene from Halo 2 it show's what happened to those ODSTs that crash landed.

TL;DR
Or at least I stopped at 'it was purely 343's decision to put out CEA'. Nonsense, 343 is owned and run by Microsoft, no way in hell does a department make decisions without approval. You type a lot and say nothing, bottom line, H2 deserves a remake/remaster because of what it did for millions of fans, what it did for Microsoft and because all those millions will buy it. It will far outsell CEA imo.
-
Wrong, Microsoft had nothing to do with the history of CE, it was a good way to make millions and the marketing tool was a 10 year anniversary. CEA was done to make money. H2A would likewise be a money maker and the excuse could be the 10 year anniversary. The factor of whether it should or shouldnt can vary greatly. Like I stated long ago CE was remastered to mark a milestone in a franchises history. CE wasnt remade because fana wanted it or because they wanted to bring it up to speed with current gen. It was made as an achievment for reaching ten years,.and to.give new players to the franchise a glimpse of what was and what is to.come.
It's what another guy was trying to say, if it worked for CE shouldn't work for H2 as well? I say yes.

There's nothing to apologize for, you quoted me so I questioned your answer to my quote. I felt the same answer you directed toward me should have been directed to another poster instead. No big deal.Again sorry
-
Then we are good.Didn't mean it like that, and actually if read my comments, i essentially agree with you on that point.
-
I was responding to other quotes...tell them what your point was.Not the point. My point was not the reason they realesed, it was what they should do with it, such as include the original multiplayer for online MM to please fans that are dissapointed in the AA system, not those crappy reach style substitutes.
Here was my relevant point in my quote...Give us H2 MP as it was, no jetpacks or any of that crap...we just want H2 back.
Go correct someone else.

I use composite but RYG is a little better. For H2 you can only record 720 x 480 pixels.
