Firefight is probably my most favorite thing on Halo Reach. My favorite part about it was the large stream of customization options available to it. Not to mention the ability to play as an Elite with the Covenant forces. Yet despite these customization options, there is one thing that makes firefight a little easier than on ODST: Infinite Ammo Crates. When these are activated, you really have no need to switch to any Covenant weapons at all. When your low on ammo, go get more from the crate and proceed to go slaughter more Covies. Down below is a list of things I think could be added or changed in Firefight (these are mainly for custom games):
-Limited Ammo Option for ammo crates. This would basically spawn Ammo crates like in ODST that carry a limited number of weapons (lets say 4 Assault Rifles, 2 DMRs, and some other weapons). This I think would probably give those who liked ODST Firefight more the ability to play something similar on Reach.
-2 new squad types. My ideas are a Hunter Shock Team (Very similar to the Hunter Kill team, except Brute Captains instead of Elite Majors/Officers) and Elite Royal (Take the Elite Strike Team: replace the Ranger Elites with Spec Ops Elites and replace the Generals with Zealots).
-Customizable Drop Pods. You designate what enemy drops from a Drop Pod (if the map supports Drop Pods) and what weapon they wield (but only if they CAN wield it). So for example, you can choose to have Sword-wielding Spec Ops Elites drop in, Jackal Snipers with Focus Rifles drop in, or Brute Captains wielding Gravity Hammers drop in.
-Add the Thunderstorm Skull to the available skulls.
Now I think I will make a thread about these later, but I think we all get the idea. But I think if I suggested all this, that means I support Firefight.
