1. Fair enough, but they should appreciate what they have. 2. Again, I don't see any problem with loadouts. 3. The Assault Rifle is not overpowered. 4. That would make it overpowered, something they complain about with the Assault Rifle. 5. They were barely ever used in the first place. 6 and 7. Okay, they're good points. But, still it's a good game! They tried hard to please the fans, they're still trying to please them even more, only to get mindless idiots hate them for it?
-
But, now they're including competitive features, like the CSR, they nerfed bullet magnetism and they nerfed the Boltshot as well. What's their problem?
-
That's why I think they should have classic style playlists, and new ones so you'll get the best of both worlds. But like you said, there will always be haters. They're hypocrites. They criticise Call of Duty for recycling the previous games, and making a glorified expansion pack, yet they criticised Halo 4 for not being like Halo 3.
-
These are some good ideas. Also, what would be nice is if they brought back Classic style playlists, so Bungie fans will quit complaining. Then again, people ALWAYS find things to complain about.

There were some problems with my original map, as AbleSir Thomas pointed out. New version includes: 1. No more teleporters, armoury and shade turrets. 2. Base and respawn zones. 3. Better spawn and vehicle pad placing. 4. A Gravity lift going up to Bravo, from the ground allowing easier access. If there are still any problems, please let me know. Gamertag: JXZAW. Well, they're mainly used to get to the base from the ground level. Also, the two bases connect to B, how else could I connect them? Of course people are going to go for B, it's the central base! Most of the flat land is used as an alternate route from A to C or vice versa. Also, the "Read before posting" thread said that the bases need at least three entrances, so if I deleted the ramps, I wouldn't meet all the requirements.
-
1. I connected it up, using ramps and the other two bases connect to it, also. "floating 50 feet up into the air" So, if I add some tall blocks beneath it, would that fix this problem? 2. That's what I placed the rocks for. 3. Huh? The red one should lead to the hidden armoury, and the other two should lead to the water and kill the players. I will delete them and the armoury if you think I should. 4, 5 and 6. Okay, I'll fix these when I next go on. 7. Should I replace them with Gravity lifts? 8. Okay, I'll get rid of that. 9. What's wrong with the Shade turret? Thanks for your advice. If I fix these problems, would you consider this a decent map? Yeah, it was mostly made using magnets. Also, the ground level isn't useless, it can be used for tactical gameplay. If the other team holds B, is being heavily defended, and you can't get to C without crossing B, then you won't be able to really get anywhere outside of your own base. It's mainly used to give the map more space. Otherwise, the map would be way too small. So, it's mainly used as an alternative route to C. Also, I did add vehicles.

Here's my map: This is a Dominion map I made on Forge Island. It is my first Dominion map I ever made. I added natural terrain on the bottom just to make it look better. The awesome decorative turrets you see on the bases weren't made by me. They were made by my friend Scott, who's not on this forum. He also made the Charlie base. Another forum member also made some enhancements, his username is SpartanKIL. His enhancements included a hidden shade turret, Objective Drops and made some adjustments to make it better. I added a hidden armoury. It doesn't have any power weapons, just ammo for your loadout weapons. I have had a few playtesters, and they enjoyed it. Some people love Forge Island, some dislike it. I personally love flat lands, but other people seem to want terrain. So, why not get the best of both worlds? It should have a large flat island (similar to the one found in Forge Island) an island with more terrain (similar to the one in Forge World) and maybe a ravine. It should take ideas from Forge World AND Forge Island, to make fans of both maps happy. Tell me what you think.

Forge Island is awesome. It allows for easier building, with the flat islands and the space is huge! You can build on top of the water if you wish Hate me if you will, but I prefer Forge Island to Forge World.

Halo 4 "Island Domination" Dominion map showcase
Jack Of Harts replied to Jack Of Harts's topic in Objective Games
It also has some hidden features you don't know about I'll show you if you want. I'll hope to play this on the next playdate. -
I have built my first Dominion map. I made it on Forge Island, it's called "Island Domination". Here's a side view of the map: I would've posted more images but when I tried it replaced the image above. This map has three completely different bases. I included natural terrain at the bottom, just to give it more aesthetic detail. I didn't make Charlie base (the one on the left), my friend Scott made it. (He's not on the forum). He also made the awesome decorative turrets you see behind the two bases on the sides, and on top of the center base. I also got help from SpartanKIL. He added a hidden shade turret and gave me the idea of having a hidden armoury. The armoury only contains standard loadout weapons, not power weapons; they will drop in with resupplies. If you'd like to download this, please view my fileshare. My gamertag is JXZAW.

Soon, people will say the Plasma Pistol is overpowered...

Sounds like a good idea.

My opinion on Forge Island and the community in general
Jack Of Harts replied to Jack Of Harts's topic in Forge Discussion
I see no disadvantages that Halo 4's Forge mode has against Reach's. The only advantage that Halo Reach really has is Forge World. But, now that we have Forge Island, I'm really happy with Halo 4 Forge. -
I'd probably build clan maps.

Jerry, the map was released WAY ahead of schedule. It's available for download, and you can forge trees -
Halo 4 Lost in the Wood's (Forge Island)
Jack Of Harts replied to IK Hunter's topic in Flood/Infection Maps
I just downloaded the map, and it is pretty damn good. Awesome use of the smaller island. -

They're one of the best features of Halo 4's forge. -

Though they can be annoying at times, they're extremely useful. If you don't need them, you can always turn them off -
A lot of the community have been complaining about Forge Island, but I really like this map. Sure it doesn't look as nice as Forge World, but they're trying. They released it for free, what's there to complain about? You don't have any of the annoying aspects from Forge World, like terrain poking through the floors, blocking off most of the map with walls, etc but they don't seem to realise Halo 4 forge has advantages over it's Reach counterpart as well. 1. Flat lands, meaning easier to build on. 2. No more blocking off most of the map with walls. 3. More pieces available, pending on which map you're on. 4. Forge Island has placeable trees, which is a nice touch. 5. Halo 4 has magnets meaning easier building. 6. Halo 4 has 4 different maps, as opposed to the one, and each have unique environments. 7. Gravity zones and trait zones are useful. 8. Ordnance drops, vehicle pads, sentry turrets, etc. 9. (I almost forgot this) Being able to duplicate pieces, allowing you to build faster. People call Halo 4 out for it's disadvantages over Reach, yet don't seem to be aware of it's many advantages. So, what's better? Halo 4 Forge or Halo Reach forge. I personally prefer Halo 4 forge, but if you prefer Halo Reach, please state your reasons If you prefer Reach, that's fine. But don't hate on Halo 4 just because of it's disadvantages. Look at it's advantages as well, and just have fun!

I'll have a look at that.

343industries have revealed some of the Forge pallet of Forge Island. The base from Ravine will be placeable. There will be more rocks (the 2 largest ones will be available under "Buildings", as well as some more under "Natural") Trees will be placeable. That's all I know at the moment. Oh, and by the way, incase you didn't know this, you will be able to build on the water. The water will only kill you if it is at waste height.
