Shoot I totally forgot about the other Halos. This means we can easily return to them and encounter other monitors! Awesome! Sometimes is easy to overlook how gigantic and deep halos universe is.

Caboose 343i has release statements saying there are groups of stranded covenant, so we'll definitely get to pop some grunts and hear some Wort worts

Ugh hemmorage is awful, mainly because theres not enough anti-vehicle weapons for infantry to have a chance. It always amazes me people want Blood Gulch back since its such an imbalanced map. I love it in CE, but it has nasty habit of spawn camping blue base, a quality found in Reach as well. I wish they had done their own version of map, keeping with the tradition of Halo. -

It looks like it takes around a clip of normal weapons to break the lock. Hmmmm, my main complain against AL was not being able to counter it so maybe this will make it a good addition to AA's. -

Im not a big fan of motion gaming right now, its rather gimmicky. I'd rather play with the sticks through the night instead of getting into ridiculous positions. And it rather annoys me that I would have to pay to have all the parts of the game I love, like what they did with Anniversary.

I'd rather go into Zero G or Low G than water. Swimming is a good way to limit maps biologically, and since they weigh so much it does make sense. Plus they were never trained to fight underwater but underwent many Zero G battles. To me fighting in a Space setting would make more sense.

Whoa what are you talking about! Alot of the changes in TU are parts of the origianl trilogy. And most people feel that vanilla Reach isnt a true Halo game, the point of the changes is to balance out issues and bring more of the classic halo feel back. Bro if youve noticed the population for Reach has doubled since the settings have begun to take effect, I think most people disagree with your post. But your completely right about making a new playlist. The guys whove stayed with Reach for a whole year atleast deserve a playlist with the unchanged settings for them.

Well its been said on the thread, 343i is mostly old Bungie employees, the soul of the Halo is still there. Plus I think we're agreeing with each other. The only thing with the Beta is the time, after all the months alot of the excite in gaming for reach died. The beta even got its own article in Game Informer it was so popular!

The point of the Beta might not be to fix glitches but to generate excitement. That was the point of the BF3 beta, and it would have worked if microsoft hadnt screwed them over.

uhhh not sure where all the hate is coming from but I guess I'll try to return it to the OP. I think ranks should return with halo4 and not be an update in Reach. Its really frustrating to not be matched up with people at my skill level. I want to play close intense games, those are generally the ones I remember even if I win or lose. Reach barely ever allows that to happen because I have to randomly play with players who are both better and worst than I am. Most games are blow outs since alot of people team and bad players appear to be stacked together, which causes people to leave. I really just want to play those intense and fun games again, I dont even really care about getting a 50. Dunno why you guys are calling out Ninja, what hes saying in that vid is how most people feel, especially the MLG crowd. They are really frustrated with playing against people who arent at their level. They want the same intense game I want and fought for it.

Depends on the bloom of the DMR. If its 100% the BR is better and will kill faster at most ranges. But if its 0% the DMR will wreck the BR in any engagement. Personally I'd like the BR back with its firerate limiter. It felt more like I was having a battle of skills than a battle with my bloom >.>

Well im loving the new variants. They make the game more about reaction and teamwork than the vanilla maps camping. Plus the atmosphere is amazing and makes the playlist shine.

1) MC lands a shield world installation and finds rumors of a cure for the flood. 2) Flood, covenant, sentinels, and I feel like a forerunner promethean. 3) I think some humans will crash land on the planet to give support (and die). But nobody previously know. 4) Cortanna wont break down but start to evolve using forerunner technology to change. 5) John destroys the planet, heading to the more information about the cure. Or hes captured by either the flood or the forerunners. _______ 1) The BR will return in some form for atleast the beginning of the game. Some form of the sniper, rockets, shotgun, and tank will of course be there. 2) ODST, Mark VI, and EVA. 3) A competitive ranking system, not a copy of Halo2 or 3 and not a combined version. 4) I have no idea 5) Firefight will be against the flood and will have a casual and competitive mode. 6) There will be COLOR! But other than that no idea xP

The AR should definitely get its 60 round clip back! But the god pistol needs to stay in CE. Its fun, but after awhile it gets frustrating to have a multiplayer with only a single viable weapon.

The killfeed and ingame scoreboard must be updated. Its frustrating to see how useless they are.

Good idea! Its strange that you can color your spartan but can only see that in FFA, campaign, zombies, and firefight. Being unique in more modes will be great. Plus there can be no confusion between spartans and elites, so telling teams apart will be easy. -
The links dont work for me either. But I really think Halo4 MUST have a Beta to connect with the general populous again. Reach pissed alot of people off and having a Beta will heal the wounds of older gamers while attracting the younger crowd. Since the developers know this, Im betting there is going to one and its going to be close to the release of the game. That way the excitement it generates should translate into sales and players jumping onto matchmaking.
