sadly the evolution of gamers and fps is immature kids playing nothing but customs because its cool and fun and every company tryin to shove a new game out every year to make as much money as possible...bungie made their money making damn good games that didnt need to be redone every year (like cod) and focusing on the faithful player would played the mm and took the game seriously.

with halo the simplier the game the better...thats the only way to push the skill gap between player to where it should be. honestly modern day mlg reach isnt that terrible (other than penance being a map but ill live with it). and yes get rid of the jetpack it ruins the set ups and spawn traps...if you and your team are good enough to set up and spawn kill, and the other team isnt good enough to break it, then they deserve to die (and deal with it)

no there are plently of clans out there that still fly the serious spirit and competitoin from H2....most "clans" are a mass group of young kids who prefer custom made "headquarters maps" that play gametypes that are focused around reachin insanely high number of kills or assassinating the other clans leader. Personally i hope 343 brings back the clans tab and creates a clan only playlist to help bolster a competitive community outside of mlg. P.s. and clan leader is welcome to contact me on xbl fi they are interested in a clan battle. I will warn you my clan takes gaming rather seriously and we dont mess with the pointless headquarters games. XBL GT: ArkadianRedneck -

Honestly if getting rid of forge would bring back ranked playlists and rid halo of AA's, bloom, and the hordes of children that play Reach for clan headquarters, living dead, and gerenally piss off the older more mature members of the community....Im 100% ok with it

yeah the normal real life ranks make sense for names, but the reach system was just to make new players (who are generally terrible and end up giving up because they arent somewhat dedicated) feel better about their playing. Fact is they arent gonna get better by completing dumb challenges and sitting in firefight all day, then going into team slayer and getting raped because they are such a high rank without skill. As long as there are ranked playlists ( ie. 4v4 slayer and objective, 2v2, 1v1, 8 man FFA, MLG) with standard settings ill be happy. Social playlists are fine, because im just gonna warm up in them. -

ones k/d (preferably k+a/d) has to play into it as well or else your are gonna get bad players who get carried by a good team and get higher ranks than what they are. -
like i understand that their are weapons mlg doesnt want in the game such as the needlers and AR's..so their maps would not contain such weapons, but the power weapon spawns and player spawns would be the same.

mlg should use the same settings and maps as the regular playlists though. That way players could more easily go to mlg if they so pleased.

yeah the halo 2 system sounds like it worked (i never had the opprotunity to play online halo 2)...the only things is that a bad player on a very good team would rank up in say ranked team slayer..but in reality he just got carried. -

Honestly i see halo becoming more like COD/MW/BF...and its simply economics. All Bungie/343 wanted/wants to do is sell more and more copies to line their pockets. If they gave a **** about creating a great game...especially competitive multiplayer that rewards the higher skilled players. -

is anyone else tired of team games always being Red vs Blue?.....It would bad a$$ if in halo 4 you could pick your teams home and away colors...assuming of course you had a full lobby of players for the playlist (ie. a 4 man team in your lobby for a 4v4 team slayer game)...obvisouly if two diffeent teams had the exact same primary colors selected the game would use their secondary teams colors and then if need default back to red vs blue. -
just a thought....having everyone starting out on the same playing field (same weapons, same armor ability which was none) was what made halo a true skill game. Having what armor you where and armor abilities created a Halo-CoD hybrid...which can and never be a true skill game. I sorry for all of the armor lock noobs who cant kill the enemy before they chuck a nade at them or the active camo d-bags who think its SOOOOO cool when they come up from behind you and "ninja" you because your radar is jammed to hell (assuming it is a non slayer pro game). If you want to anti shotgun armor/explosion armor....I'm sure CoD has what you are looking for.

Halo 4 wish list…. Wish #1: Bring back the clans. Unfortunately I was never able to play Halo 2 online, or experience how clans worked in Halo 2. Modern day clans to me seem unorganized. I personally love the idea of clans, and would love to see them flourish in Halo 4. Ways to improve and rebuild clans Have a clan lobby, much like the matchmaking, custom game lobbies. From their you would be able to start/join a clan, manage your current clan, its members, its relations with other clans, set up/search for clan battles, Custom colors, emblems, and ranks (both names and powers the rank gets ) What type of clan you are MLG Non-MLG Spartan/Elite only [*]Official clan battle game lobby, with set game types and maps from 343i…this would eliminate the possibility of rigged maps and game types. Wish #2: Better control of matchmaking playlists. I don’t know about everyone else but when my friends and I go into Team Slayer, we never, ever want to play elite slayer. I would like to see separate playlists categories for Spartans and Elites. I think that having more options of what setting we get to play matchmaking with is a good thing. Example of Playlist Hoppers: Spartans Only Team slayer (4v4) Team Objective (4v4) Team Doubles (2v2, slayer and objective) Rumble Pit (6-8 man FFA, slayer and objective) Cage Match (1v1, slayer) Squad Match (5v5, slayer and objective) Big Team Battle (8v8, slayer and objective) Swat (4v4, slayer and objective) [*]Elites Only Team slayer (4v4) Team Objective (4v4) Team Doubles (2v2, slayer and objective) Rumble Pit (6-8 man FFA, slayer and objective) Cage Match (1v1, slayer) Squad Match (5v5, slayer and objective) Big Team Battle (8v8, slayer and objective) Swat (4v4, slayer and objective) [*]Invasion (one team of Spartans, one team of elites with your preferred species determining which team you are on) Team Slayer (4v4) Team Objective (4v4) Squad Match (5v5, slayer and objective) Big Team Battle (8v8, slayer and objective Normal Invasion (6v6) [ie. Pine trees, rock, green fields and grey forerunner building are getting old. I would love to more environments/locations to work with. Possible environments Current Forge World Heavy Forest ie. Timberland Snowy ie. Snowbound, Avalanche Desert Ruins ie. Sandtrap, Sandbox, Epitaph Covenant Themed ie. Assembly, Zealot, Midship Urban ie. Foundry, Headlong Every map area would have 2 pre-built maps, one small(er) map for 2v2s, 4v4s, and 5v5s, and one large(er) map for 8v8s and/or invasion 6v6. Obviously some may fill multiple roles like Boneyard for invasion and big team, are Asylum which works for 2v2s to 5v5s to rumble pit. Each area would have its own themes. Also these areas would not have to reflection the current size of the forge world, the map areas would only have to resemble the current size of the “canyon” or “island to make this idea realistic. Think the Paradiso map from Halo: Reach, only add the snow and styling of Halo 3’s Snowbound and/or Avalanche. Wish #4: Better ranking systems for both ranked and unranked playists. Ranked Playlists: I like how the arena is set up, my only problem with it is I get annoyed when a find a game lobby that has 7 onyx players (I myself am nowhere near that division). I feel that more player would find themselves playing the arena with this were not the case. I feel that the best way to handle the arena is to group players into the five divisions based off of their no ranked stats, tham force them to play against player only in their division. Players would improve during division play would obviously attain higher division standings, and possibly move up to the next division. The same would be said for those who performed poorly.

im also kinda hoping that 343 runs regular contests to get forged maps into matchmaking...like 2-3 new maps will be entroduced every 3-4 months.

and who's to say that their needs to be 5-6 maps the size of forge world...what if 343 releases 5-6 maps areas, each area would have its own enviroment, own architechure, and be the size of say the canyon area in the current forge world. Each area would also have its own prebuit map (asylum, uncaged; like with the current forge world). and the ability to completely demolish the pre-built map and created a custom map.

what about MLG based playlists...half if not more of their maps come from the forge world in Reach. Im not saying that halo4 should be catiered to MLG (I personally hate MLG) I want to see more multiplayer maps that are symmetrical ie. zealot, asylum, countdown (I hate that map), Its kind of crap that a team of four randoms can win a game against 4 team members because the randoms camp the living s### out of a single spot on the map (ie sniper spawn on reflection, the lifts on sword base)....let the skill of the players dictate the game, not the piss-poor design of the map.

Please add new forging maps with expanded forging capabilities and backgrounds (ie. sandbox, foundry, snowbound) and structures. And for the love of god get rid of the sword on countdown and replace it with a sniper/rockets (ie. mlg countdown).
