Here are the Easter Eggs for Halo 2. Enjoy ! Halo 2 Easter Eggs Legendary Jason Jones Cardboard Cutout When playing on Legendary during the cutscene where the grunts are confronting the brutes the camera shows a grunt holding up a cardboard cutout of Jason Jones. This same egg appears in Halo 3 as the "Jason Jones Floating Cardboard Cutout" Easter Egg. It seems Jason himself or someone else at Bungie is a hobbyist exhibitionist when it comes to Jason's programmers tan. Alternative Cut Scenes The opening cutscene on Delta Halo changes with the difficulty you select. Before the grunt gets on the turrent he is playing with a different thing on each difficulty. On Heroic the grunt is playing with fire and on Legendary its playing with a Master Chief doll. Halo CE Pistol on Tombstone After the notoriously overpowered Halo 1 pistol was weakened dramatically in Halo 2, the team responsible for Halo 2's maps, Certain Affinity put the pistol on the map inside a fence just to tease fans of the old pistol. It has been confirmed that you cannot actually pickup the gun, it remains a decorative feature. Why am I here? On beaver creek if you go up up the ramp to the left side of the blue base you will see a rock that is loose. You can knock that rock down the bottom of the level and read the words underneath which are "Why am I here?". This is a nod to Rooster Teeth's "Red vs Blue" series. The first episode is called "Why are we here?". Rex Sword Start on Outskirts on any difficulty. Fight through the part until the Hunters break through the door. Kill them, and then go through. Very quickly run into the next part and ignore the Jackals shooting at you. You should see two blue crates stacked on top of each other. Jump onto them to the higher platform, and you should see two green crates right next to each other. Jump on one of them, turn around to the direction of the Jackals, and then jump onto the light post in front of you. Once on the light post, turn directly around and jump onto the rafters of the building you see. Get in Pelican On the ramp the scarab blows up the scorpion, a Pelican dropship unloads marines. (this is before you go into the building, while you are on the street) If you park a wraith on the top of the ramp you can jump near the open hatchway and hold "x," you should get in the side seat. (you may get pushed out by marines) the ship takes off after a few seconds and flies over the place you are supposed to go and out of the map. It then crashes into a wall and eventually onto an invisible strip of ground. On level Metropolis. The Scarab Gun Start off on the Metropolis level, and eliminate the Marines that board the Scorpion - you?ll be glad you did. Cross the bridge as you normally would and destroy all the Ghosts and Wraiths that you encounter. When more Marines join the fight, though they are your own guys, take them out as well before reaching the end of the bridge. At the end of the bridge take out the Banshees that attack you but leave one in the air. Also, make sure to hijack a ghost before entering the tunnel. Lure the Banshee into the tunnel(you don't have to shoot at it, just stay in range). You have to lure the banshee all the way into the tunnel until you get to the hole at the end where you go into the next part of the level. You need to jack the banshee as the "Loading" is triggered. Once you have jacked it you can fly around in the next part of the mission. All you need to do now is fly upwards to the two huge bridges and grab the scarab gun (it looks like a plasma rifle). Secret Message If you managed to get out of the level "Backwash" there is a secret message for everyone who managed to break the bounds of the map. It reads "ITS LOOKIN A LITTLE ROUGH OUT HERE" and is written in red blood. Invincible Warthog Proceed through the level as you would normally until you reach a dark tunnel where you need a flashlight. After that, hop in a warthog and continue through the level. As are about to enter the giant tunnel, turn around and go back to the spot right after the dark tunnel. If you are looking straight out from that tunnel, follow the path on your right (not down the road, but against the wall) until you reach a porch type area, there will be a warthog on it that is completely invincible like the ones in Halo CE.On the map Outskirts Frankie's Face on Halo Ring If you download the Xbox live map "containment" and then use your sniper rifle to examine the Halo ring you will find none other than Frank O'conner's face in the ring. Frankie was Bungies weekly update writer and community manager for some years and was much loved by the community. His face once again appears in Halo 3's Standoff Moon in the Sky, along with another Easter Egg of three of the same Bungie employee standing on the platform of the Satellites. Cowardly grunt If you kill all the brutes in a certain room the scared grunt in the corner will talk. He says "Please no hurt, me like Elites. Brutes stinky bad bad! Me stay here and make sure no brutes come behind mighty arbiter?". He comes up as green on your reticle marking him as a friendly unit. Blue Screen of Death On Zanzibar, if you go into the room with the huge generator and flip the switch of the gate left of the generator a blue message will appear on the console. This is a gag pertaining to the blue screen of death in Microsoft operating systems. It reads: A total FU exception has occurred at your location. All system functionality will be terminated. *Press any key to power cycle the system. If system does not restart, scream at top of lungs and pound on keypad. *If you need to talk to a programmer, press any other key. Press any key to continue Ling-Lings Head If you change the date on your Xbox to different special events the sign in the water on Zanzibar will change. The coolest is if you change your date to 7/7/7, you will see Ling Lings head on the sign. Other dates include: - 01/01/xx (Baby shark) - 25/12/xx (Soffish) - 31/10/xx (Carnage zone symbol) Hologram Glitch Somewhere in the level out in the open in front of the sniper base there is a flaming pillar. Go to it and get a wraith. Some people report that slowly pushing someone into that pillar will push them through and they will get killed by the gardians and other say that boosting them with a wraith works also. The idea is that you can force someone into the pillar and they when they are killed by the guardians they will spawn on top of the level. The effect is especially cool when you have a sword. Soccer Ball This is a really cool easter eggs and there are a few ways to get it. You need to go part in Metropolis that is outside with the wraiths attacking you. There is a building that has been blasted open on one corner from the scarab beam. You can grenade jump up to it using the blasting abilities of the sputnik skull or use the banshee glitch that is also used to obtain the scarab gun. Rooster Teeth Logo On Turf if you go into the garage you will find a vending machine. One is Blue with a rooster and the other is Red with some false teeth. This is a nod to Rooster Teeth, the creators of the "Red vs Blue" series. Very clever but humorous Easter Egg Bungie! Getting Vehicles in the Final Battle You can actually get a number of vehicles inside the final battle. It works with ghosts and banshees. The trick is pretty much to clip the wings off vehicles if they are too large and then park it right outside the door that gets you a checkpoint. Once you go and trigger the cutscene you can backtrack and it wont have disappeared. Bloody Marine On the level Cairo Station, some times there is a bloodied Marine running around. He has blood splatter on him and is missing his helmet. He is besides his appearence, the same as any other Marine. Rex Tyson "Ferrex" Green, lead level designer created most of the great journey and has left his mark in various places throughout the Halo series: Once you reach the control room go to the highest point possible (you will need to go by foot most of the way as the banshee wont go very high) then use the Sputnik Skull (see skulls guide) to jump to the highest pillar. There will be the word "Rex". Halo 2's Megg At the last part of the level where you have to secure the bomb (scene: return to sender), you have to be on legendary with no co-op. You have to have the Thunderstorm Skull (no other skulls) active and it must be active before the 1st checkpoint. You cant die, or even lose 100% of shields, you cant revert or quit while trying to find it. If succeeded you will hear this message being broadcasted over the intercom: "Paging Megg, please report to the red courtesy phone. Meg to the red courtesy phone.". MP3s of this easter egg have since been lost to the sands of time unfortunately. Hi Ben Start Regret and then proceed until you kill all of the Elites and Drones. Go outside and to your right you will see a temple without a bridge. Get up there (grenade jumping works) and go to the room at the right. Use your flashlight and go to the left corner and zoom in with your scope, you will see the hidden message "Hi Ben". Hidden Bomb Message In multiplayer when you arm the bomb after you have put it down text appears on the top of the bomb. Different messages such as 'Thus I Refute Thee', 'Hold Onto Yer Butt' and 'Kiss It Goodbye' appear on the bomb depending on what multiplayer level you load. Pet Brute It doesn't matter what difficulty you play on, but if you proceed through the level Great Journey and you get to the end of it (the part just after Johnson destroys the door to Tartarus), if you hijack a brute-controlled banshee, then the brute that gets kicked out of it will not attack you. He won't even have any weapons. He just follows you around like a stalker until you kill him.

Here are all the Easter Eggs for Halo 3. Enjoy! Halo 3 Easter Eggs Jason Jones Floating Cardboard Cutout Jason Jones, a man who has been once Again put into the game remains as a funny Easter Egg. He was in Halo 2 in an Easter Egg titled "Legendary Jason Jones Cardboard Cutout". Put into the game again, he is a common Easter Egg, not only as his tanned cardboard cut out but also as a "Missing" poster you may come across in out lists of Easter Eggs. As a common joke the Bungie team loved putting cardboard cutouts, mostly of Jason Jones it seems. So here is how you can get to it. When you start the level, go forward and hug the wall until you come to the point where you can jump down into the soon-to-be flood infested area. Turn right and go into a small forrunner structure with a terminal to the left, and a large gap with a blue light/laser beam streaming across it. The man is at the end of the corridor, on a platform to the left. You must grenade jump, or use the gravity hammer to launch yourself (or friends) onto the support beams ahead, then simply jump to the side-platform. If that fails, use the theater.Good Hunting! 7 Scar on Miranda's Cheek 7 has been associated with many different easter eggs and is considered to be Bungie's favorite number. The number can be seen as a scar on the face of Miranda Keyes. See Through Chief's Visor If you get into a mongoose and you have the 3rd person view someone can get behind you and you can position yourselfs so that you are looking straight through his visor. This was only possible in the Halo 3 beta which has since long been lost in the sands of time. Siege of Madrigal After the part where you have to defeat 2 scarabs at once, dont go into the building and proceed with the mission just yet. Instead, climp on the left side of the structure onto a grey metal colored beam. Keep walking along the beam on the left side until you reach the end. At this point, marties famous Siege of Madrigal should start playing. See the video for more info. Canadian Coin On snowbound, if you go to the active camo spawn, right next to the camo, on the ground, if you look really closely you can find a Canadian dollar coin. Guy on Balcony A guy can be seen on a standing on a balcony on the edge of one of those massive satellites. You may need to grab a sniper and stand on something high in forge to spot him. On standoff map. Strange Helmet This appears on the level The Storm. It is actually the back of a ship in the area where you fight the Scarab tank. Jerk Store Grunt We all know of the Food Nipple grunt of Halo:CE, but now there is another. While riding your Warthog through the end of the level, listen to what Cortana is saying. When she says that it is 90% charged, you are getting really close. Once you start heading straight towards it look towards your right. Eventually you'll see a grunt on a small ledge. (You'll have to restart from the last checkpoint as you wont have enough time to go back to your hog) Walk up to it and it will say the soon to be classic line, "Hey demon, the jerk store called, and they're all out of you!" and a few other things. He'll then say that if you don't kill him, he'll shine your boots. He'll shine your helmet. And then eventually say something about not knowing what he's doing half the time becuase of "the gas". Well what are you waiting for, go find him! Scenery Change After a period of time you can see the map Isolation starting to change from being nice and green, to being flood infested and grotty. Valhalla Date Messages When your xbox console is set to different dates certain messages will appear on the side on one of the bases. - January 1st: Make Love Not War - April 22nd: A skull with a recycling sign. - May 5th: Toady Was Live! - July 4th: BBQ at Bob's Place - July 7th: Seventh Column Symbol. - October 31st: A grave stone reading R.I.P." - November 11th: Kilroy Was Here. - December 25th: A Christmas light with an X on it. Strange Cave with Monkies After the jackal snipers in that alley way after the pelican gets downed, walk on the left side of the wall where the rocks are jutting out. Make it onto the last rock on the wall and turn to your left. In a small gap you can find some strange monkey people. Hidden flood battle Right at the beginning of the level by the turret look around to the left of the hill, you should spot it! On level Floodgate. Creepy Cortana In the High Ground base, behind the flag, there's a desk with a computer type thing, with many screens. Watch the small screen left of the keyboard, and from time to time a picture of Cortana, looking a bit creepy will appear. Red vs. Blue Dialouge On the "Crow's Nest" Level (Number 3) When you get your gear and heads towards the fight you see the warthog blow up and you fight with grunts you need to keep going straight to the dead end (instead of turning left to advance) and turn right to see a marine knocking on a door to have something said depending on difficulty, Its hilarious RvB. Peeing Brute After busting into a room with a bunch of covenant you go through only to find a brute taking a leak in the corner. I enjoy assassinating this brute, he takes about 4 or 5 seconds to react to your presence. Elephant Flip Go into Sandtrap in forge and track lots of energy coils underneath the elephant. Then set their respawn time to instant. Blow them up and the elephant will flip over. Once it's flipped on the screen it will say "Hold RB to flip... wait, what? How did you do that?" because normally it would be impossible to flip the elephant. Hidden Missing Note Play the level until you reach a dead brute who had a gravity hammer and near it is a dead marine who had a SMG. Above the marine is an opening in the wall. Go into this opening with your flashlight on. On the ground you will see a MISSING note. It appears to be a bungie employee (Jason Jones) that cannot be found. Da Vinci Code Egg Spawn in sandtrap with an invulnerable shield. Be in forge to if you want to. But go to the invisable barrier and walk back and forth into it then end the game ok. Then go to theater mode put the camera at the barrier were you walked into it. Walk into camera until your body pushs the camera thru the barrier. Try a couple times until the camera goes thru the barrier. Then fly to one of the towers lining up around the level that have lights on it. at the top of each tower there will be an easter egg with letters and will be blue. But be carefull they're very small. Good Luck with it. Frankie's Face on Moon Once again Frank O'conner's face is printed on a texture as an Easter Egg by Bungie.Frankie was Bungies weekly update writer and community manager for some years and was much loved by the community. He is printed on the moon on the map Standoff if you got the Heroic Map Pack. But the Easter Eggs don't stop there. Another one is of a Bungie employee standing on the platform of the satellites you can see in another Easter Egg within the list. Choppers on Final Run On Legendary, stick to the left wall (after passing the mongoose area) behind the rocks lies two choppers. It's just before you drive onto the big tiles that fall down. Suicidal Marine Spawning in Floodgate, any difficulty, follow the path in town, once you get to the gates that are damaged, go into the left alley, and go into the courtyard with Marines and Flood fighting, go into the structure on the right of the ramp and see a Marine get infected, dodge him and go left into the big Marine and Flood battle go into the next big room and get onto the bridge in the middle by taking some stairs near the right of itself. Go across and into the room with a hole in the middle of it, jump down and a cutscene of Cortana is there, get out of the room by walking through some doors in the back, this will take you on the other side of where the ramp was in the courtyard. On the right wall of the room, there should be a door that leads to a small room, and some more Flood will come after you. And there will be 2 walls splitting the room, ignore the doors, you can't go through them. Once your done moving around the second wall, there should be an open door, and by now you can hear the Marine sobbing about killing his infected teammates. If you stay there long enough (I estimate 10 minutes or so, maybe less.) the Marine that was sobbing will shoot himself in the head with a pistol. You can kill him also. Dead Seagulls Go to the farthest left corner of the beach with a sniper rifle. You will then see some seagulls. Snipe one of them until you think its close enough above you. Like other birds in Halo they just disinigrate in the air, but not these! wait a while and the dead seagull will drift slowly with the current towards you and onto the beach. And when you shoot it blood flies everywhere. Last Resort is the map this is on. Carnage Symbol If you go into the theatre and look at Sandbox, if you examine all the spires closely enough eventually you will find the carnage symbol on one of them. Hidden marine on "The Covenant" When you are close to when the scarabs drop find a ghost and go up the mountain side. Use your boost to climb the mountain.Keep going until you reach the top.Continue until you see the marine.[Remember to hurry!] Grunt Crossing In the Halo 3 Announcement Trailer, a 'Grunt Crossing' sign can be seen. This was also shown in the "E3: Making of the Documentary" video released by Bungie. Bungie's official response to this was: "The New Mombassa City Council had an incredibly efficient public works department until and even during the tragic and devastating Covenant invasion". This has got to be one of the cooler Halo 3 Easter Eggs out there. Morse Code and Halo theme songs There is a Morse Code signal coming out of the radio on High Ground in the base behind the flag. There are 3 separate messages: First translates to "Frogblast the Ventcore" Second is an acronym "sababwl. This acronym also appears on the Halo Soundtrack. It relates to a quote by Joe Staten, who was quoting Marty O'Donnell, "XBOX Halo is shiny and bumpy and bursting with love!". The third translates into "Don't make us kick your @#!*% ". Then after the messages, you may hear some Halo theme songs playing off of the radio. Hippo Doll in Rubbish There is some sort of doll in the rubbish on highground. You can find this by using your monitors light and looking under the stairs next to the pipe room. M+L Heart When you get to the part where there is a brute holding a marine by his neck and asks "tell me its location" he will say "kiss my @#!*% " after killing all the enemies go to the bridge where the marine was, near that bridge (off towards the path you came from) is a tree, jump in between the trees branches and if you look around you should find a carving that says "m+l (and a date)" surrounded in carved heart. Hidden Mongoose In the final run of the level, at the first turn after you get into Johnsons warthog, go left and there should be a Mongoose sitting there waiting to be used. And don't take too long finding it, cause Halo is collapsing behind you. Have fun! Writing on Bullets On the Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Human Turret and Sniper rifle the bullet shells all say "CHIEF EG-X". Not too sure what this means, but it seems to be on a lot of human weapons. Checkpoint 8 This egg is right as you come up the the 1st large bridge (right after you destroy the shild with the drones inside) once you reach the area where you first come out look behind you and up and you will see the sign that reads "Checkpoint 8". It also just so happens that there are 7 checkpoints leading up to this area, so its saying the 8th is just up ahead. Marathon Logo on Assault Carrier In the part of the level where you have to defend the 2 (or 3) phantoms that drop off the covenant (you do this 2 times) you can pause go into theater and freecam out the exit of the building, go to the Assault Carrier and look at where the banshees are coming out of, you'll see a Marathon logo. MF Heart Before you enter the area where the Brute is holding the Marine by the neck, one of the trees has a heart carved onto it with MF in it. Its hard to see while playing so I suggest using theatre.(Also hard to find because its dark.) Grunt Face Just like in Halo Reach's Forge mode there is a Grunt Face printed upon the Golf Club and Golf Flag. This is a common Easter Egg face for games in forge mode We couldn't find the actual picture from the game but this is the face below.. Marathon Symbol Not only is there a Marathon symbol on Guilty Spark's eye. Well actually the famous Marathon symbol can be found EVERYWHERE in just about every Halo game. It is kind of an Easter Egg, but it is so over done it is scene as just a common symbol. This symbol is literally EVERYWHERE in the Halo series. But the Marathon Symbol is actually a Reference to Bungie's old Game called "Marathon" along with the same symbol. Not is it yes an Easter Egg, but actually the symbol is cleverly placed in the open or hidden even subliminally through out the Halo games, Trailers, Preview Art, Advertising, and marketing . It is a very interesting phenomenal symbol. I am curious if it will be a continued tradition in the Halo series after 343 Industries takes over. I am curious also on the name 343 guilty Spark and the new company 343 Industries, let's see what they do! Longshore Date Messages The words Suck It Fronk is an in Halo 3's DLC map Longshore. It is located inside the freezer and is easier to see with the turret glitch. The words are on the right hand side but must be seen at an angle in order to fully read, as it is hard to see when looking straight at it. It is a bitmap, and therefore takes no effect when a grenade is thrown in its direction or shot at. It's likely a reference to the food brand Fronk's Like the Canteen's Chalkboard, Suck it Fronk also changes on holidays. Christmas Day: Seventh Column Bungie Day: The sign reads "7/7/7" Halloween: A skull July 4: The sign reads "Home of The Free" Cinco De Mayo: The sign reads "Root Beer @ Bob's Place" New Years Day: The sign reads "Flash Freeze This" Earth Day: An image of Fronk is there with the words "Save me" above him and "Eat Beef" below him. This is possibly a reference to the popular Advice Dog images found throughout the internet, as two completely different and unrelated pieces of advice are listed above and below a dogs head Veterans Day: A Spartan hand giving a "rock on" gesture.

Here are the Easter Eggs for Halo 3: ODST. Have fun trying to find them all!! Halo ODST Easter Eggs Dancing Marty At a big open location when you are in a banshee fighting AA-wraiths and blowing up spores, there is a dark section you can travel to off to the side of the map with a ramp to the left that you can climb up. If you go to the top of the ramp and then jump down to the adjacent walk-way a dancing Marty appears. Mary O'Donnell is the man behind the music in Halo and a nice little music track is played too. Buck and Monkey Man While watching the ending credits move the right stick to the left and you will be able to pan over to Buck hanging out with a monkey. We think that this may be a reference to Halo 3's first mission where the Easter Egg of the Monkey Family. You can see in the picture below. Teddy Bear Somewhere on the Streets of Mombasa you will find someones lost teddy bear. It can be quite tricky to spot so I will leave the hunting up to you. Suicidal Marine This is a nice little easter egg in the sense that it's somewhat of a tribute to an egg that was in Halo 3. On uplift reserve there are two marines having a conversation, one going crazy and suicidal, ranting about being trapped in a zoo by the covenant. The neat thing about this one is that the marines voice is the same as the marine in Halo 3 who is suicidal over the flood. Infinite Ammo Rocket Launcher If you are playing on Legendary with 4 people there is in one of the highway basement things where 4 rocket launchers reside. They were probably put in the game to make Legendary run through's easier. Weapon Cards There are a couple of these in the game but the easiest of find is on Tayari Plaza. Make your way through the game until you find a flight of stairs where there are some Elite and Brute bodies at the top. If you can hear Buck saying "What happened here?", you are in the right place. The Superintendent should reply with "Final notice, bill passed due". Continue upwards to a balcony with a dead Brute and Elite. To the right of the Elite you will see the card. The cards seem to show a number of never before seen Covie weapons. Various Graffiti In the streets of Mombasa you can find various graffiti messages scattered around the place. Some are harder to find than others and require looking in some of the little back alleys. Webmaster Cereal- WEB-O'S Inside the first building your going into on the begging mission on the campaign, before you exit into the courtyard full of grunts, there should be a couch to your left, around said couch are various breakfast foods, i.e: orange slices, a bowl, a plate and a spoon. Along with these is a box of cereal with the webmaster on it, and of course a bowl of the cereal. The box reads: Web'O's "Your mom loves 'em!" Sorry, but I don't have a picture of it. The easter egg is very easy to find though, good luck! Silly Face on Windward There is a silly face drawn on a wall on Windward, and NMPD HQ. Go to the side, or part, where an arrow is pointing off of the building. It will be section with landing pad 3. Jump off right where the arrow is on the wall, turn around, and you'll see it as you fall to your death.

There are a whole lot of Easter Eggs for Reach.. so here we go: Halo Reach Easter Eggs Tribute Room You basically have to flip a switch and fight a bunch of Elite generals. Once you have done that, you unlock a door that upon entering will transport you into a corridor. Go down there and you will find a room basically full of easter eggs, a tribute to everything Bungie thinks is cool. HEE did not make it into the room unfortunately, maybe next time. Fly a Pelican and a Phantom If you do this correctly you are able to pilot a pelican and a phantom. Play through the level with a buddy. When you get to the hospital make sure one of you picks up a jet pack, it's used later on. Near the end where Kat asks you to come to the Oni base to help her out, fly to Club Errera (the building with the red strip around it, refer to the images below). Circle the building until you find a small alcove. You will see a glowing switch on the roof of the alcove. You need to have the person with the jet pack, reach that switch and flip it. Now all you need to do is fly through the ring shaped building (see the last image), and you are transformed into a pelican. If you want to fly the covie drop ship, just fly through the ring with a banshee. DJ Brute When it is time to shut off the second jammer (the one that is in the club), fly up to the club. Feel free to clear the outside, but you don't need to go inside. Then go back to the hospital(the location of the first jammer), and fly around the outside until you find a ledge that has two trees on it(it is pretty low on the tower and can be difficult to spot). Land on it and there will be a switch on the wall. When you go up to the switch it will say "hold x to open door", but no door will open. After you hit the switch, go back to the club. B.O.B Elite Easter Egg The B.O.B easter egg is an unusual one in the sense that you can only find it online at Bungie.net after killing special elites in game. Once you kill one of these special elites, a medal will appear in your profile that is found nowhere else in the game stats. Finding these elites can be tricky, but there are several on each level. The image you can see below is of the medal you receive on Bungie.net Hidden Room On the multiplayer level "Spire" you can use the various tricks to get out of the map in theater mode to view this easter egg. Once out of the map you can go to the bottom of the level and you will find a strange green shield with the reach emblem on it. The shield is inside a solid cube, but once you are in theater mode, you can still see it clearly. Spartan Death Coincidences Don't you guys find it ironic that all of Noble Team (except Jun) died in a certain way similar to their own attributes? Jorge, he was the big guy and he died in something bigger than himself; Kat was the brains of Noble and she died of a headshot; Carter was the Captain of Noble and he went down with the ship; Emile is the close quarters fighter and he died in (you guessed it!) close quarters; and Noble 6 was used to being the Lone Wolf and he died alone. Can anyone think of one for Jun? Four Hidden Banshees During this level when you reach the wooden shack type structure, clear out all the enemies. Have one player stay behind and one player go ahead. Behind a box at the back of the wooden shack (you will need to move it) a switch will appear for a few seconds right after player two activates a hidden switch that is a little further in the level. The hidden switch that player two needs to activate for the first switch to appear is off a small cliff to the left, right before you blow up the covie sniper tower. Once both players activate the switches 4 shiny new Banshees appear near the wooden shack. Invisible Elite with Data Pad At the very start of the level when you hop out of the falcon, if you sprint down the hill you will spot an invisible elite carrying a data pad. If you kill him you can pick up the data pad. He runs down the hill and once he reaches a certain point he just disappears. He is carrying one of 19 Data Pads scattered around the campaign. Now even though these are more of a Terminal or Audio Log than an Easter Egg. You should go and check these out. There are more Easter Eggs about the Data Pads further down the list.Good Hunting! Untextured Master Chief Model Load up a Lone Wolf theater game and go into free fly camera mode. Backtrack until you find the huge structure in the background of the map. Somewhere on top of that structure is an untextured model of Master Chief. Position Indicator Funnies There are probably hundreds of these scattered around the game, but if you go into certain locations in multiplayer, the little indicator that shows you where you are sometimes displays funny things. The best example is on powerhouse. If you jump off the edge of the cliff, your little position indicator will read "Vaya con Dios!", meaning "Go with god!". Suicidal Marine Similar to the easter egg in Halo 3 and Halo ODST, the voice of this suicidal marine is very similar or the one in the other games. You encounter this easter egg pretty naturally if you are just running through the level. If you go to the area where the sniper is on the mulitplayer map Reflection and then down the corridor to the right, you will find him. Minature Skirmisher On the level 'Winter Contingency,' whilst Carter is telling you to watch your motion tracker, on the roof above is a minature Skirmisher. This enemy will then grow into it's regular size and run away. The only way to see this is to go into theatre mode. Reach Racer On Mission 03, Oni: Sword Base, there are two hidden switches, marked as "doors" that you can open only with two players in a co-op match. Both switches can be found after Rally Point Alpha, where you must destroy the Wraiths. Switch A is found on the coast of the water just southeast of the buildings with a pair switches you must activate. It's on a pile of rocks near the frozen waterfall. You'll know you are standing in the right place when you get a message saying "Hold X to Open Door." Note: You must reload your weapon before getting this. Switch B is just past the AA cannon in the next area. A pile of rocks with some trees on it overlooks the vast, walled complex on the ice below the area. With both people standing in these places, press X simultaneously and a message will appear on screen saying "REACH RACER." You will then be warped to the Oni: Sword Base with two Gauss Cannon Wart Hogs ready for racing. You can race your friend through a course marked by red waypoints (you don't need to touch the waypoints, you just need to cruise past them). At the end of the race, the loser's Wart Hog explodes and you'll both be warped back to race again. Master Chief in Cryo Tube During the cutscene right after you control the giant gun that blasts the dropships and banshees, if you pan with your right thumbstick to the right (hold down your right stick, to the right direction), there is a shot from within a hangar where you can pan and you can spot master chief in a cryo tube. Data Pads Datapads are hidden throughout the Reach campaign and add an extra element to the story. Like terminals in Halo 3 and audio logs in Halo ODST, they provide a side story about a mysterious A.I collective called the 'Assembly'. Now finding these can be a challenge but well worth the fun if you are into hunting for information. Sadly there is no reward for finding all of these Data Pads. Secret Marines Very far back in the map, there are two, maybe only one Marines standing on the platform you passed while in the Falcon killing the Covenant as you passed as well as defending the Marines as you pass. It seems these Marines stuck around and do still talk, and you are able to reach them. This is is on Exodus - Rally Point Bravo Yellow bear on Mounted Turret Look on either side of any mounted turret in the yellow warning stripe in any game mode and you will see a tiny yellow bear face. It is hard to see, it may or may not be a bear face. It just me be a coincidence but still neat if it is. Buck from ODST In the mission New Alexandria you will be told to escort a falcon to a tower where a group of ODST's are in a "firefight". A "DEFEND" waypoint will over over the falcon. In the falcon is Gunnery Sergeant Buck from Halo 3 ODST. When you escort the falcon to its destination, Buck will exit the falcon walk into a room say "I owe you one spartan" and vanish. Ammo Popping out of Wall On the Pillar of Autumn, when you go out in the open to fight all the brutes in the drop ships there is a little structure (the one with the stairs leading up to the roof and the room with the ammo in it) in the middle of the playing field. If you go to the left side of that structure and melee the wall, a crate of ammo pops out, full of DMR and Shotty ammo. Radio Logs On Anchor 9, Boardwalk, Boneyard, Countdown, Powerhouse, Reflection, and Spire, there are radios that play looping conversations between various NPCs. The dialogue revolves around a few units and a spartan codenamed Beta Red. Siege of Madrigal Follow the instructions to complete the DJ brute easter egg. Once you have seen the DJ Brute, fly to the roof of the Club Errera building and under an air conditioning duct, you will find another switch. This switch will change the song inside of the club to the Siege of Madrigal, a song that has found it's way into Halo CE, Halo 3 and now Halo Reach. Teddy Bear Backpack At the begining of the level, just before you enter the first building you will see this Teddy Bear Backpack amongs the dead civilians outside. The backpack can't be used, or equipped, but can be moved with grenades and weapon fire. Bungie loved to make easter eggs with teddy bears and there are still more to be found! Mining Company called "BXR" In Halo 2 there were many different button glitches that could be used to exploit bugs in the game gain an advantage. The "BXR" (pushing the B button, the X button and the right trigger) in quick succession allowed you melee while shooting. It was a notorious glitch Bungie has included it in reach in the form of a logo of a mining company in the fiction of the game. On the two variants of the logo, the first one shows colors from the Xbox 360 controller "X", "Y" and "B". Data Pads (Backwards Audio) Well another user posted an Easter Egg about "Data Pads". But FIRST I am here to state first is that those are NOT Easter Eggs, it is like hunting down a Skull in Halo 2 and Halo 3 or Terminal. Here is a real Easter Egg about the Data Pads. Now after you kill the invisible Elite running with the Data Pad. You open it up, and all the data pads actually do this, but after reading for a little while, you will hear a voice or audio. You wont be able to understand it. But, if you record it and play it backwards, you can understand it. But one of the interesting Lines that say "Welcome Chiron", sound like this "Ch - eye - ron". We posted a video on this but we want you to hear what it says. And Basically Chiron was a Test station on Mars for Special Elite Spartans. And there is a bit more information at the Halo wikia. Here is the link for more information,Go on your hunt for these Data Pads! Sadly there is no reward for finding all of these Data Pads, but it has good information, and a good challenge! Good Hunting! MOA Flavoured Burgers In the level Exodus when you first encounter Civillians (The part when the drop ship rises up over the ledge) turn left and you will see some stairs, go up them and then look to your right and you will see a sign with 3 MOA's on it and the words "New Flavour". I wonder what MOA tastes like. Club Errera Reference Club Errera is actually a reference to "Claude Errera", the founder of HBO (halo.bungie.org), one of the biggest Bungie fan sites existing since the early days of Bungie. Bungie is often involved with the HBO community and must have put this in the game as a tribute. Hidden Radio Chatter Dialogue On Overlook you come across a radio. If you hang around you can hear chatter amongst a UNSC squad and command. Grunt Face Just like in Halo 3's Forge mode there is a Grunt Face printed upon the Golf Club and Golf Flag. This is a common Easter Egg face for games in forge mode We couldn't find the actual picture from the game but this is the face below.. Dave Binary String http://www.haloeastereggs.net/sites/halo/files/styles/egg-teaser-thumb/public/6ZLMv.jpg When you go into binoculars mode (zooming with a non scoped weapon) you can see a binary string "01000100011000010111011001100101", this translates to "Dave". This is the name of a UI designer, Dave Candland. The same easter egg can be found in Halo 3. New Branch Constructions I found a little easteregg while I was playing around in forge. I noticed a sign with the text ''NEW BRANCH CONSTRUCTION'': (Sign located directly under the platform where the Bruteshot used to be.) Thought that was an odd name for a company, so I went closer up to the sign and I noticed the little text in the lower right corner: ''a division of NYGREN INDUSTRIES''. Then I knew I had found an easteregg, because I'm swedish. ''Newbranch'' is translated into ''Nygren'' in swedish, which is a common sername in Sweden. When I looked up the name I found Deanna Nygren who worked as a 3D envirement artist at Certain Affinity. She had a major role in the recreation of Headlong. Her family in the past must have been one of the many emigrators who went from Sweden to America during the 19th century, so I guess it were a little easteregg of her origins. Another funny thing where it says "division of NYGREN INDUSTRIES": "Division" in english is translated into "branch" in swedish. Lots of branches in that sign.

Appearntly the Leaked GRD Helmet in the Defiant map pack also appears as a doll Easter Egg in several maps in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, also said to be hidden in the Firefight map, but the location of it is at the end of the video below. Have fun! Halo Anniversary Easter Eggs Halo Anniversary Skulls It has been confirmed that skulls are going to be hidden in various places throughout the Halo: Anniversary Campaign. Players will be able find skulls in the campaign (although only available in the remastered mode) to active different gameplay effects. Skulls have appeared in all subsequent Halo games after the release of Halo CE so it looks like 343i is taking the opportunity to give Halo fans some extra fun in that old classic we all love. After finding the skulls in the campaign, players will be able to activate them from a skulls menu. Spartan GRD Doll Easter Egg Appearntly the Leaked GRD Helmet in the Defiant map pack also appears as a doll Easter Egg in several maps in Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, also said to be hidden in the Firefight map. Have fun! Grunt in Barrel, GRD Doll switch, and Hidden picture of Damnation This is a special Egg post because we have three eggs all in one! We thank the same poster who posted the last Egg on the "GRD Doll Switch" which you can see in the list for Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. But here we have how to get the"Grunt in a Barrel", "GRD Doll" without glitching the map in Forge mode, and where the other hidden map picture is of "Damnation" from halo Combat Evolved. There is a very helpful tutorial below so you can follow how to preform these Easter Eggs and find them. We once again thank you guys for theses Eggs, without all of you this wouldn't be the Halo Easter Eggs Community we are today! So this is a special post, we have never had 3 Eggs in one. Egg buttons on keyboard On the keyboard in the opening cutscene of pillar of Autumn, there are a few little common Emotion Faces printed on the Keys in the Red circles. A little bit of a joke from the new Halo Games developers. The faces tat can be scene are ">_<", "o_O", "*_*", and what appears to be "(~)" symbol or something, and the other one that is actually hard to see IS and "esc" button. If you look very closely you can see it, not only that but just about every keyboard has the Escape button located there. But the bottom left Blank triangle key is strange the other has a little marking. If you look closely I think you can see the operating system button, it looks like a windows icon printed on the key. There are also strange buttons next to the volume button on the top right. We may know more after the game is released. But at this time, this is all we can see. Troll Face on Pillar of Autumn Notice Board If you look at the notice board on the pillar of Autumn, you can see the popular internet meme, 'trollface'. Troll Face on Pillar of Autumn Notice Board Penance Switch for GRD Doll When the GRD Doll was first found people had to glitch there way to get to the Penance GRD Doll. Later discovered was another technique that showed another easy way to receive the GRD Doll without Glitching the map. For that we thank you guys! This is the second Egg post about the GRD Dolls and this one is a hidden why to receive it so enjoy! There is also another Easter Egg below in the list showing the same thing along with three other Eggs in the same map, go check 'em out! And don't forget, good Hunting! Hidden Picture of Beaver Creek in Battle Canyon Hidden in Battle Canyon, there is a hidden picture of Halo 2's Beaver Creek. It is a small picture, but it is on the underside of the structure hanging above Red Base. There are more of these hidden pictures, surprisingly enough, a nice memorial to Halo 2, but weird because this game takes place before Halo 2. Good hunting! 343 Guilty Spark Visits On the new fire fight level Installation 04 if you go into one of the small building structures with the Ammo and Health Pack there's a window were the 343 Guilty Spark will occastionaly fly by. We kept getting requests for this but no video evidence. Hidden Picture of Headlong on Breakneck This is the hidden picture of Halo 2's Headlong on Halo CEA's Breakneck. It is located right behind the wall that meats land and water, you can not see it unless you are in a Banchie or in Theater mode. A little memorial to Halo 2, kind of a weird Easter Egg though because this game takes place before Halo 2. :/ Have fun!!

I thought it would be nice to show the Easter Eggs in the game. Halo: Combat Evolved Easter Eggs Pillar of Autumn Bulletin Board There are heaps of easter eggs on this board including a reference to bungies old address, a reference to Alien (Missing: Calico Cat: Answers to Jonesy) and a poster that was used to advertise the game. The same board is found later in the game during the level "The Maw" shattered into pieces. Graphical Screw up? The first time you learn in the game that the ring-world was called "Halo" by the Covenant was after you save Keyes, before that it was just called "Ring-world". This is what I find interesting, one the first level (Pillar of Autumn) the Holo-panal Keyes is observing has the following image desplayed on it (see below). Why would it display this if they didn't know what it was called yet? Sounds strange to me. So was this a Graphic Designer Error, or laziness, or something more?... Chief's Boot A brighter highlight of MC's left boot shows us Marcus R. Lehto, Halo's Art Director's initials. He is the man behind the chiefs armor skin, apparently to show the people that the armor is HIS property. Or just leaving his signature there to show he designed the Armor and leaving that as his credit. Also like said in the comments by "AnEProGamers" His signature is also engraved on Master Chiefs boot even as the Toy Figure. Legendary Ending If you finish "The Maw" on Legendary you will see a bonus cut scene that shows the Pillar of Autumn blowing up with Johnson and an Elite hugging because they both know they will die. The cut scene is interesting in the fact that it's later referenced by "Guns" in Halo 2 when he asks "When are you going to tell me how you got off that ring?" to which Johnson replies, "Sorry Guns, that's classified". Hidden Food Nipple Grunt On the final level of halo near the end you will come to a passage on the right hand side. If you jump out of your hog and head down there you will find a grunt who has worked up a "big grunty thirst". Nice one Bungie. The Megg You need to start the game on legendary. Once in that room where your shields are being tested jump ontop of the cryo-tube, then onto the shield tester and onto the ledge infront of it. Walk down the ledge until you see a yellow barrel. To activate the megg you must stand and jump on this yellow barrel. After that play the level through until you meet captain Keyes. Walk out and get the pistol and then walk right back in again and shoot him in the face (dosent really matter you just need to kill him). A bunch of marines will come to kill you. You need to run into the room that the marines come out of. There are a few techniques for this, one is hiding around the corner then running in quickly. Either way, you will find a bloody M shot into the roof. Hippo on Shotgun Shell After firing a shotgun, if you look carefully enough at the shell that has been ejected from the gun or the shell that is being reloaded, you will see a hippo with the words "8 Gauge" written underneath. UI Glyphs Go to multiplayer and move your courser over "edit game types". Look at the picture of Master Chef, and read the description pointing at his armor, it very small and hard to see . The one on under the very top right says "all your base are belong to us" which is a phrase from badly translated game from Sega Genesis called "Zero Wing". People say this everywhere on the Net. Captains Pipe After you find him in the flood blob thing, there is a bunch of tentacles coming from the blob and attached to the ceiling and light panels. A couple (2 or 3) are just laying on the floor, and hang off the edge of the platform. if you look closely u will see his pipe in the very end on one of tentacles that hang off the edge of the platform. It's very small, smaller than the real thing. They probably shrank it to make if harder to find. Silent Cartographer Reflection Simply look on the side of Red base, (the side facing the ledge overlooking the canyon) there will be the reflection of the Silent Cartographer island. Nobody knows for sure why this is here, it could be a graphical glitch or is the something more? Weird Assault Rifle On the level Keyes, when you start, a little forward and to the left there is an assault rifle standing up (side with handle and trigger on the underside). There is no ammo in it and you cant pick it up if you drop your assault rifle and come back to it. you cant move it with a grenade, shotgun, ect. Message Under Lifepod Seat This easter egg isn't actually readable without using some mods to detach the camera, however, in the lifepods, if you look under the pilots seat there is a very small message. It reads (from those who have confirmed it by using mods), "put your head between your knees & kiss your @#!*% goodbye". Very clever Bungie. Hidden Music Track On assault on the control room level on the part where you finally see the control room and you are on a natural bridge over the final part of the level. There are some banshees that typically some elites get into quickly. With the right elements of surprise and weapons (rocket launcher) you can get into one of the banshees (this is about equally difficulty in any level but the parts before are a lot easier on easy it doesn't affect the outcome) you can from here go directly to the end which saves you a large part of the level or you could fly up. Animal Sounds Make your way to the 3rd battle area, the one right before the grav lift part, clean up all the enemies and move on just a little bit to the next are to make the music stop, then go back to the empty area. Then stand near any of these spots, and you should hear various sounds of distant animals. (do NOT stand at the area from the shot is taken, stand where the crosshairs are pointing to. Also in the 1st picture, stand below that tree. In the 2nd picture, stand anywhere around that tree). Flood Buddy Sometimes you can find these critters armless in the campaign, but if you want to, you can actually shoot off the arms of Elite flood forms and have them follow you around at your own leisure, unable to attack you. Some HEE regulars were able to create 3 or 4 of them at a time and enjoy the company of 4 man/elite/flood escort. Hidden Mendoza Model In 343 guilty spark there is a hidden Mendoza Biped. To find him start the level and keep pressing the grenade button until one grenade is thrown, then stop. Now wait until the pelican crashes on the edge of the map the exit the vehicle using the "action" key/button. From there keep walking forward until there is a kind of drop off to your right, go down onto it. Now continue forward until you run into the Hidden Mendoza Biped! The purpose of putting him here is to speed up the loading of the jenkings video. Hiding it here kind of acts as a pre-load for Mendoza. Chinese Symbol for "Power" on Magnum If you look on the bottom of the Magnum you will find a strange Chinese symbol. The symbol means "Power", an obvious reference to the pistols crazy 3-headshot kill. Fall Through Elevator On AotCR After you go through the outside area with the banshee, two ghosts, a few turrets, and lowered path with two doors at the bottem and an elite in each, grab a ghost by taking out one of the drivers and take it through the level untill you reach an elevator that goes up (should be the first you come to) and put the ghost on it. Get out and activate the elevator. Get back in the ghost and when the elevator moves up, you should go through the floor. If you land correctly and dont flip, you will be at the bottem of the shaft. The .fortune Name Egg When creating a new profile on Halo CE, if you enter ".fortune" in the name field a fortune similar to those found inside fortune cookies is displayed on the screen. My favorite is "I like beans". Some quotes include: - All your hard work will eventually pay off - Everything lies in silence - If anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway (The first of Murphy's Laws) - Nature always sides with the hidden flaw. (A subdivision of Murphy's Law) - Never wear your best pants when fighting for freedom. - Rest is good, but idleness is its brother. - Don't wear your best pants in war. (Rare) - Smile when you're ready. - You cannot fall off the floor. (Another Murphy's Law) - Your luck is about to change. - Sorry, this fortune is temporarily out of order. (Rare) - I like beans. (Rare) - SoB dawg! (Extremely Rare) Hidden Camo Simply use the pelecan grenade trick to get to the top of the level (to see the marine), but instead of heading towards the marine, head the opposite way, hugging the edge, until you see the strange plant you climb onto to cross over to where the structure is, instead, aline yourself with the tail of the plant, and look down, there will be a pipe, jump down onto it, and walk into the bush, you have just walked into a hidden active camo. Basis Based on Mars The gas giant Threshold's moon, Basis, is actually the planet Mars, colored in blue. Maybe bungie put this in there too see if we would notice or were too lazy too recreate the textures. Get Out of Map There are a couple of ways to do this, all where the hunters are. Try each way too see what works for you. Option 1: Where the hunters are, kill everything and have one player jump on the rock near the hill, Jump on his head and then throw a plasma grenade at aswell, jump up to the cliff and the grenade should help you make it. Option 2: Drive a warthog to the same place and use its turrent to jump up to the cliff Option 3 Get an overshield and have a hunter whack you up, as you jump where the wall is low. Whale Noises Near the end of AoTCR, near the first giant door, stand near one of the pillars, you should hear whale noises. If you don't know what pillar I'm talking about, it's in the pic below. 343 Guilty Spark's Comments Get to a point where 343 Guilty Spark stops and hovers, waiting for you. Make sure you have a pistol, and make sure there are no Flood around. Start shooting him with your pistol while he is floating. He should turn towards you. Keep shooting and he will say stuff like the following. "Please control your temper." "Please stop firing your weapon." "Are you finished yet?" "We have more important business here." "That is completely unnecessary!" and my own personal favorite, "Please stop being human!" Flood attacking flood This "Egg" is a little difficult to do, just before you head into the the engineering zone their are black ops covenant fighting sentinels.Their is a human flood infection form with them that you can lure into the corridor and the flood infection forms attack the flood human. Bloody Rex When your in the Warthog in the final run cortana will tell you tto speed up because there is a gap. Go full speed but do not go strait ,go a little to the left and you will land on a structure. Get off the hog and go down on the little bridge on top of the road where you normally drive by. There should be two doors go on the one on your left and there should be the word rex in bloody letters Scorpion Symbol Look on the side of the turret of the scorpion tank (not sure which side), there should be a scorpion engraved into the turret. Shoot through shield You know those stationary shield generator thingys? Get something that shoots a lot and has a lot of ammo, i mean the Assault Rifle. then walk into the shield, and keep walking into it. you should see your gun, but your in-game model's gun actually went THROUGH the shield! if people shoot you, the shield will protect you, but you can shoot from behind the shield! Killer Bubbles When you get dropped off by the Pelican, run to the front of the ship. In front of the ship you well see a rock/boulder type thing. In front of that is two trees. In front of the two trees is another rock/boulder thing. If you go to the left of the rock, and land in the water you can crouch to full submerse yourself. If you shoot upwards at the Lilly pads the bubbles you will start to loose shields and then eventually die. Enjoy finding these Easter Eggs!

Is this to long a answer: http://343i.org/3z

This will actually explain it, I am sorry it is long: They were first encountered in the Milky Way galaxy by an Ancient Human empire 10,000 years prior to the Forerunner-Flood war. The earliest known instance of the highly infectious viral super cell later known as The Flood form to be encountered came in a fine desiccated powder, contained in cylinders. Early experiments showed the potential for psychotropic effects in some lower levels but not in humans or San'Shyuum. The primary animals affected were popular pets in human societies: the Pheru, lively and gentle creatures found on Faun Hakkor. Very small quantities of the powder induced changes in the Pheru that improved their domestic behavior. Soon San'Shyuum adopted the custom of taking Pherus as pets. For centuries humans and San'Shyuum bred and powdered these animals without ill consequences. However the powder soon attached itself to key points in the genes of the Pheru and began to change them, which manifested itself as a peculiar growth found on a third of the powdered Pheru. A kind of loose, soft fur grew between the shoulders of the pets. Other Pheru were soon found grazing on these companions, consuming their fur-and on occasion even consuming the animals themselves. Pheru were naturally herbivores. This seemed to activate some sort of biological timer, a signal for expansion. Within a very short time, the Pheru were producing far less attractive growths. Flexible striped rods sprouted from their heads, which in turn were also consumed by fellow Pheru, causing abortions and unnatural births. But this was only the surface of the growing infestation.Eventually the Flood evolved into the form that we know today and fought a war with both the Ancient Human Empire and the San'Shyuum. Unknown to the Forerunners, the Human/San'Shyuum alliance had developed a way to combat and eventually defeat the flood. By manipulating key strands of the Floods genetic buildup, infecting a third of the human population, then placing them directly along the pathway of the Flood, the humans were able to 'reprogram' the intentions of the Flood. Rather than wanting to consume sentient life, the Flood turned on itself, seeing other members of the mutation as being enemies. As a result, the Flood began to tear itself apart on a galactic level further spreading the Human/San'shyuum genetic weapon, and causing the Flood to simply wipe itself out. Knowing that it faced its own complete extinction, what remained of the uninfected, stable specimens fled the galaxy aboard a commandeered vessel, destination unknown and remained dormant for thousands of years, biding it's time. The Forerunners learned of the peril and as a precaution designed and subsequently constructed the 12 individual Halos should the threat one day return. As expected, 10,000(or 9,700 years, for it was said it destroyed 12 sytems of forunners in 300 years which ends the 10k years) years later, the Flood returned and began its conquest of total galactic domination. After exhausting every other strategic option, the Halo Array was fired, resulting in the elimination of the original source of the Flood infestation and the death of every sentient being in the Galaxy, effectively removing both the source and its entire food supply. The Flood exists in a fairly stable state in the absence of a Gravemind. They lack the ability to coordinate their efforts, but the Flood will spawn spontaneously and spread by infecting sentient life forms, specifically those that are self-aware and capable of introspection. This stage of a Flood outbreak is known as the Feral Stage. During its Feral Stage, the Flood is only capable of local coordination through use of pheromone-based communication. Research indicates that the content of said messages are of very limited complexity. IndividualCombat and Carrier Forms have access to the skills and memories of their host; however, once an outbreak establishes a viable Gravemind, the Coordinated Stage begins, and it is at this point the Flood becomes truly dangerous. With the formation of a Gravemind, the assimilated intelligence and memories of consumed hosts become part of a collective consciousness, which is capable of strategic thinking and commanding individual Flood forms in an organized manner. A Gravemind (like the Proto-Gravemind that gave rise to it) is the fusion of pure Flood Super Cells and the evolved complex neuro-system of one or more sentient entities. The control it exerts over the more mobile forms it creates is accurately likened to an entity's control over its own limbs. Therefore, during the Feral stage, control is localized at the individual level, but once an outbreak enters the Coordinated stage control is assumed by, and broadcast from, a central compound intelligence, the Gravemind. Although little data exists from any adequately controlled experiment, data gathered in the field suggests that if a mobile form is removed from the influence of the Gravemind coordinating its group of origin it will revert to a Feral Stage. Insufficient data exists on whether mobile forms of one Gravemind would be influenced by another Gravemind, though logic dictates this would be the case. However, because individual Graveminds are more or less identical and are all striving for the same goal, it is likely that a distinction would be impossible to detect. The Bestiarum states that the society of the Flood closely resembles a "utopian socialist ideal as there is no wealth, no poverty, no want, no crime, and no disease; every individual works for the advancement of the Flood as a whole". It also states that it "is unfortunate that their one overriding goal is to [butcher and consume] every other life form in the galaxy". That is where the Flood came from.
-
Wow, that is a really good comeback. Lets just hope your never in that situation again.
-
Here is your answer: They aren't infected, per se. Any creature with insufficient calcium is killed by the flood and their bodies are brought together to help create a gravemind, but any creature can be used to do this as well to quote the gravemind midway thru infecting truth, "you will become food, nothing more" granted GM was probably talking about all sentient life, humans, elites and brutes are more useful then grunts, jackals, and prophets(in terms of calcium in the body, prophets being equally useful to set up a gravemind neural abilities, all 6 useful for the body), hunters being immune to infection but lacking the biomass the flood needs on an individual scale(think 1 hunter is a colony of roughly 300-400 eel like creatures) drones never being shown infected, thou odds are they either are on par with grunts or are worthless to the flood like hunters, in short, grunts/jackals=floodsnax
-
I think keeping armor customizations would and still is cool. So that you can customize it the way you want to look. Maybe a few changes would be nice, but nothing that takes away the Halo look.
-
They will most likely be in Halo 4. If you read Glasslands, you will understand how they will fit into Halo 4.
-
The whole reason they never show the face of Master Chief is because ( prepare for lengthy reason ) : So that the player can pretend he is Master Chief. The whole reason they don't show his face, is so that you can pretend your face is in the helmet and that you are the one killing all the enemies. It is not like other games, where you can see there face, and you know what they look like. In Halo, they want it to be a mystery, so that you don't know what he looks like. And so that you can dream that you are Master Chief.
