I find that it gives me a huge advantage. I can reach power weapons/vehicles way before my teammates or opposition, giving me a huge advantage. I can quickly escape a combat situation, allowing time for me to recover and kill u attacker, and most importantly I can sprint after someone for that all important assassination

Obvious reasons. You may have loved it as a survivor, but for zombies, it was horrible. This the survivors were at least fairly decent the zombies stood no chance - the survivors could camp in many places which would create a distinct advantage for the zombies (vent tunnel, top of loft, top of vent, etc)
