http://www.youtube.c...ed/VYYS1HfwvBk OK so i know that everybody has a favorite from the old halos but with the integration and focus of the new armor abilities/sprint as its own button I feel like the controls are going to need a complete revamp base on the controller setting we are given I would like to know only based on how useful it would be which button layout to you think is the best Im torn between bumper jumper and fishsticks I like bumper jumper because of having jump AND melee on the bumpers gives you a huge advantage up close but putting armor abilities on buttons makes it much harder to use them while aiming such as thrusting around somebody and being already aimed on them as you come back into first person gives you a huge advantage this also applies to jetpacks and hardlight shields also with sprint on a i feel like starting and stopping sprint around corners is going to be a huge burden all of the above problems are fixed with fishsticks but melee comes down to the joystick which could be nice unless you slip while aiming which isnt something that id worry about in cod but could happen in an intense halo moment, then there is jump being on a which makes jumping and aiming impossible overall i dont think its possible to say one button layout is the best because like the trend with halo 4 everything is going to come down to how you play. I feel bumper jumper is going to be superior up close but fish sticks is going to be better for a strategical player who likes to avoid the close encounters anywhoo let me know what you think and which control layout has the most advantageous button placement for you

idk if anybody has notice yet but the new medals look pretty sweet. In the new videos with all of the UNSC weapons there are a bunch of medals shown and none of them are the ugly blue ones from the E3 build.

dude get real. this would never happen and even if it did itd never work

Hmmmmmm... I think halo 4 will play most like HALO 4! lets be honest this doesn't look like any other halo game to date. the load outs may make people think reach but they dont affect things that much all of the AA so far are easily counterable and will really just make people be able to play how they want. I think the speed look similar to H2 but all of the new little things like the customizations will make it play more like a mix of halo 2 and reach causing it to be a great game lets be honest reach had some good ideas and once halo 4 comes out ill be greatful for reach because it did case a push forward but right now i still feel burned by all of its flaws that bring down the gameplay and how badly it hurt the community anywhoooo overall its not going to play like a past halo it will be brand new speed: halo 2 diversity in playstyles: halo reach weapon feel: halo 3

agreed halo 3 had a good balance but halo 2 was way OP but never had much trouble with the short time i played reach
-
Firefight was really just a way of matching CoDs zombies and it failed, it has become a way for people to just farm credits and when they made it customizable in reach your score didn't even mean anything because you could make yourself invincible or have all grunts or just have rockets and unlimited grenades. they missed the point that zombies is just fun because everybody likes to mow down zombies and figure out a strategy because it makes noobs feel good
-
when stickies zig zag at the last second and magnetically find somebody to kill its OP when they go through their legs it sucks but thats how it should be ya magnetic stickies make noobs feel like pros but its really just OP and makes people who know what their doing unstoppable
-
this is no more OP than a sticky grenade if anything it fits a niche right in between a frag and stick if you spawn with a sticky you can stick a warthog and not only do you stop the warthog you get a double kill...this just momentarily stops the warthog if you spawn with frags on a close quarters map you chuck a frag as somebody comes around a corner they lose shields easy head shot kill i think this looked kinda like a sticky so it might stick to people and it also seemed kinda like a delayed reaction like how a frag bounces and then goes off a few seconds later This is a perfect way to create a new grenade good job 343 they made something new that fits and that is way better than the spike or incineration grenades that simply killed in a different way...really what was the point of either of those two the spike grenades stuck to wall but never got kills unless they were direct sticks anyways and the incineration grenades just burned people to death instead of exploding but you still had to stick them pretty much the were both new but the same and this is actually going to be useful and not OP at all

no bloom no. okay maybe the pistol but even the dmr shouldnt have bloom its a long range riffle its not like any spartan is actually going to lose control over their gun instead to balance the sandbox the dmr should just be more accurate than the BR but shoot slower so its better at a distance but worse mid to close range that way everything has a place BR FOR LIFE!

It will beat halo 3 yes, but no chance does it look to be as good or better than halo 2 its just too complicated and ya im a fan of making custom loadouts that are taylored to a playstlye but the simplicity and pace at which halo 2 played made it the best halo game ive ever player ( didnt play much CE ) halo 2 was the pinnacle of the halo experience and halo has been going down hill since but halo 4 looks likes its adding in the gimmicks enough to make it a fresh new game that will draw in the newer younger audience that never played in the FPS glory days of all out halo but is also keeping them toned down enough so this new game plays as halo should where people start out mostly even

Ya bungie defined BXR as cheating but MLG didn't so when you played on live it was considered cheating even though in my opinion the fact that everybody could do it without modding anything made it plenty fair. in MLG it wasn't cheating and gave some really awesome moment where people thought oh **** did that really just happen. If 343 had brought back button combos then it wouldn't be cheating it would be a fair intentional part of the game. I didnt make this thread to see if people thought it was cheating back in the good old halo 2 days i made it to see if people thought bringing them back and increasing the skill gap would be a good idea for halo 4. Yes I know it is far too late for 343 to do this but it was just hypothetic It isnt about wheather it WAS of WAS NOT cheating its about wheather or not it could make for better gameplay which i thought it did in MLG

I was just watching some halo 4 vids from e3 and they said a few times that we haven't seen anything yet. well what have we seen multiplayer campaign spartan ops. what haven't we ween the only two things I can think of that we haven't seen yet are how matchmaking will work and forge. So maybe 343 is just so confident that they have an amazing new forge 3.0 that they dont need to do remakes cause we will be able to make them ourselves and that could be what they are still waiting to show off. what do you guys think?

Deffinitlu not a shotgun brand new gun

in the leaked video it seemed more like a gause cannon
