  1. I don't mind not having the skull much but I see exactly where you're coming from. I like this line in particular:
  2. ONI could make Ben into an AI for Locke but Ben's brain isn't extraordinary. He's a war journalist with good connections. I have to agree with my master Caboose that this idea is farfetched. This is something ONI would do just to be cynical but it doesn't provide them any advantages.
  3. Great news. Thank you Twam
  4. I vote to wait. I don't understand why we don't have at least as many as last time though.
  5. I don't remember how to read reports
  6. You answered your question in your OP by listing reasons why they aren't in multiplayer. Also this is exactly like your other threads so I'm locking this. For the record, I'd like them to bring Elites back too but it's not a deal breaker for me.
  7. I serve The Covenant Wait what time period does this take place? Which Covenant or Heretics would I be serving?
  8. This would make things much easier but I imagine this is the last thing 343 is thinking about right now next to Halo: Reach 2.
  9. If we go back to Halo 3 storytelling then you're SOL
  10. I think he's referring to the gameplay of Halo 3 being better which I can agree with because Halo 3 is my favorite Halo but I certainly don't want them to keep coming out with that same game over and over. There may be differences between Halo 2 and 3 but to keep finding incremental ones like those and implement them with each release... Eventually they'd run out. Now they may have had more time to do that if Bungie didn't crap Halo: Reach onto us but 343 has done a really good job of working with what they have and trying to appeal to fans who loved the original trilogy. As others have stated above, if you want Halo 3 with 60fps and improved lighting then you may certainly play it. I do all the time. But you can't make them to drop everything from the game, devolving to original Trilogy aspects, and expect to leave everyone happy. Also Halo 4's story was the only one to make sense canonically since Halo: CE in 2001.
  11. Luckily the first 15 maps will be free DLC so you won't worry about paying for it for a while. I think 343 has done a good job of thinking of everything except for the importance of split screening to a large part of the community.
  12. I have to disagree and say the difference between 30 and 60fps is in fact very noticeable and I've personally experienced it between playing Halo 3 on 360 and Xbox One. However I think it'd be manageable if they kept the frame rate at or above that for split screen.
  13. You would think with the power of the Xbox One that it'd be able to support 60fps for split screen. I really dislike the fact that there isn't going to be split screen even though I don't use it. However that shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether you buy the game or not. It's possible that they can update it before or even after for it to play with a lower frame rate and allow split screen. We still have 4 months before launch.
  14. The Sprint is on at 5PM EST today

  15. You're right I looked it up Caboose they did belong to ONI
  16. But the problem here is that Spartans have never been an ONI branch ever.
  17. I was actually talking about damage but your point is much better. I was thinking they could take out the boost ability and just let it fly at Warthog speed.
  18. The biggest difference between past War Games simulations and current ones are their location and that's precisely why Elites aren't playable anymore. All War Games currently take place aboard the Infinity where there are no Elites.
  19. The Hornet is from Halo 3. Besides that I think I'd like it for these to be in the game, even the Pelican and Phantom. If they figured out how to balance them.
  20. This is good stuff. Really looking forward to Halo Wars, Mirror's Edge, and GTA V
  21. I'm not gonna lie I actually haven't been thrilled with Escalation but I am grateful and glad they've been releasing normally for the past 18 months. The Next 72 Hours was so bad but I am gonna disagree on the jurisdictions of Lord Hood. Firstly, Spartans are now they're own division but before they were actually operating as part of a special branch of the UNSC. Either way though Hood would still be able to pull rank on Chief and order him to relax as he did. I find it interesting though that something that small earlier had such a huge effect now.
  22. The preview for the latest Escalation is up and 343 brings back a character that we thought had a very minor role earlier. The Elite carrying the supposed bioweapon when Infinity takes down the Kig Yar colony on Ven III is now called Ayit 'Sevi. "Our search has been for the deviant." "Basically, we looked for the most human Sangheili we could find..." http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?pid=28076&pg=1
