  1. Original The Fall of Reach, First Strike, and Ghosts of Onyx, very nice! The MCC promo poster is a great piece as well! I think I'll organize some of my stuff and get some pics up soon.
  2. This is a lot like Infinity Siege. One might even call this a variant of that game. I like the construction of the UNSC space craft! Guns look great.
  3. Best Spartan has gotta be John-117. Even if the games stop following him, we won't be done with his story. I mean unless the games resolve his story in one campaign and kill him... But my answer stands. Worst Spartan in gamplay is definitely Emile. I just remember him shooting a Wraith from a different section of the map on Legendary while I fought it alone. In the story, I'd have to give it to Mickey for his betrayal.

  5. Searching solo is a difficult process indeed. @@RedStarRocket91 can tell you about his experiences with it in matchmaking in Halo 5. I solo queue all the time but it gets really old quick.
  6. In first person? Hm. Not really a fan of that idea.
  7. Multiple people are currently having this problem along with you. I think it's a side effect from a recent Halo 5 update.
  8. When you say to make every unit playable or controllable what do you mean? Like every existing vehicle in the Halo Universe or every unit seen in-game? Also just in case there was some confusion, I must let you know that we are not 343 Industries nor do we have official affiliation with them.
  9. I think that's a connectivity issue when it continuously appears. Profile sync errors are very common in Halo 5 but they shouldn't happen over and over even after hard restarting your Xbox.
  10. Orion also has really bad frame rate issues. It's hard to tell when it's you or the game but just know that if you're on a Forge-made map, it's more than likely the game's problem. If you're experiencing it on dev maps then you could be lagging.
  11. I just finished reading Halo: Fractures and found so many of the stories to be compelling. They created vivid mental images of their tales. The authors from the short story anthology are great writers from previous Halo novels like Tobias Buckell (Cole Protocol), Kevin Grace (Hunters in the Dark), Joseph Staten (The Flood), and Troy Denning (Last Light). So many good stories by actually good writers gives the extended Halo Universe amazing depth and potential. Even Brian Reed's story added mass to a weightless threat discovered at the end of Halo 5. He painted the scene of the destruction on Earth after the Guardian attack and the decisions that would need to be made after impressively well. So just list a short story or novel that you'd like see adapted and try to list actors/actresses that you'd like to see casted as which characters as a bonus. Add some pics so we can get a feel for what you're imagining. I'll post my own later when I'm out of work
  12. I would've joined you to play this last night (if that's what you were inviting for) but I was sweating it up in Arena. Definitely wanna try this out soon.
  13. Congrats on the feature @@Mr Deliciousman
  14. I felt the nostalgia of hype plays in my chest watching this. I think the reason why things have changed so much in Halo is because of large mechanic changes. Using P34nut's example, People don't care about double kills with rockets or even double kills in general because the power weapons in Halo 5 are very easy to use compared to the older Halo games. MLG used to be something else back in the day and I remember being at Meadowlands in 09. The HCS Vegas event was a good start and the NA Pro League finals sparked some good interest in competitive Halo for new players. 2017 can be really good or the end of Halo 5 depending on how the cards are played.
  15. Halo Wars 2, a new Batman Arkham project, and Red Dead are mainly what I'm looking forward to at the moment.
  16. When it comes to the video, I really think it possible that the game could've been received better with the old sounds because it'd cater to fans' nostalgia. New sounds would need to be added for new weapons and power ups and the likes but having the old sounds for the campaign didn't seem that weird. I think having that as a skull would've been a nice touch.
  17. This is a video of the first mission of Halo 4 using sounds from Halo 3. It brings up mixed feelings for me where I can see some good things and some bad. What are your thoughts? Would people have liked Halo 4 more for something as small as these nostalgic sounds?
  18. Really great looking concept. I moved this to @@Zandril 's minigame submissions so he can see too. thanks for posting.
  19. I don't know if he has a favorite weapon because he's never been made out to enjoy killing but doing it as an obviously necessary deed in winning the war against the Covenant and Prometheans. If I had to say though I'd name the AR like SD said. Halo 5 kind of backs this up as it's his loadout weapon while everyone else has some other precision weapon or special weapon.
  20. The good things about Halo 5's campaigns in my opinion are the environments we visit and the members of each team. The return of Blue Team was an incredible shock when we first had the cover art revealed to us but this was ultimately disappointing because of what little focus the game actually had on them. The aforementioned environments however are probably the strongest aspect of the game. Sanghelios has probably been on many Halo fans' top destinations for a Halo game and I would say 343 did not disappoint in its design. Meridian was a gritty, almost completely abandoned colony since it was hit by the Covenant so long ago and you could feel the discomfort in the atmosphere when playing as Fireteam Osiris. Genesis was a beautiful Forerunner landscape that is exactly what you'd expect if you were to visit a planet hundreds of thousands of years old created by some of the most advanced beings the universe had ever known. The AI were not too dumb. Teammates, yea kind of, but the enemy not as much and that was fun. The overall gameplay was pretty fun during the game. The story had truly suffered though... It's really a shame that they had the brilliant idea of AIs questioning their actualities and wanting rights instead of being regarded as disposable supercomputers being ruined by completely undoing the heavy emotion of Halo 4's conclusion and Cortana's overall sacrifice in general. It's a headbasher of a story. I think if they were to introduce a different AI as a threat that we may have seen a different reaction from people. Just a fatal flaw that they inserted Cortana in there.
  21. I just finished the short story "Promises To Keep" and I gotta say Christie Golden is an exceptional writer especially when it comes to capturing intimacy and romance. It makes you understand the relationship between Bornstellar-Makes-Eternal-Lasting, The IsoDidact, and Chant-To-Green, a Lifeshaper, much more. The idea of the story overall was excellent as well and still leaves mystery to the world of Forerunners which I could understand might've felt ruined for some with the release of the Forerunner novels (which are regarded as some of the best Halo novels to date) and the return of the Didact in Halo 4. Defender of the Storm is going quite well also. If anyone has read any of the novels, novellas, or other Halo material then please share thoughts. Right now Fractures, Mythos, Smoke and Shadow, and Tales From Slipspace are the newest releases.
