Bring back the Halo Reach Arena Slayer ranking system. It's accurate and it's simple to understand

Depending on what they decide to package with each edition, I may buy any of them. If what they put in the Legendary and Limited Editions is trash then I'm definitely taking the cheap way out, but if it's similar to the Halo 3 Legendary, I'm definitely throwing some more cash at this game.

I didn't quite understand the point that was supposed to be made, the grammar police should arrest you. As for grenade throwing distance, there definitely needs to be a limit to how far you can throw any type of grenade simply because it would be hard to control how far you would throw it, unless they added an aiming system to H4

From game to game we always seems to discuss which weapons we will see in the game that are new, and with the rapidly growing discussion of DMR v.s. BR in the 343i forum community I thought I would bring up a different, however similar topic, which is Which weapons and vehicles do you want to see return from previous games? Some examples of discontinued weapons from the Original Halo Trilogy to Reach where the BR, Brute Shot, Beam Rifle, and Mauler. For vehicles some examples are the Hornet, Elephant, Prowler, and the Chopper. I personally believe that there just simply needs to be a new replacement for the DMR and BR to just end the argument which is better, but I would love to see the return of the brute shot and mauler because when I played Halo 3 I thought they where some of the easiest weapons to get kills with, and I didn't quite understand why they took them out in Reach. As for vehicles, I think that bringing back the Elephant in BTB would be quite simply amazing, as well as the hornet that way in, for example, Invasion when the Elites have their Banshees up, the humans have a way to rival it with a Hornet in the air. I think the falcon did a poor job of rivaling the banshee in Reach and simply made it an easy way for someone to get an easy Triple Kill. On an ending note, since the subject go hand in hand with each other Which Weapons would you like to not see return from Previous games? This can apply to any weapons or vehicles that have appeared in any of the franchises games up to this point, whether they appeared in Reach or not. And as Always, Have Fun Discussing!!

Hi my name's General PWNFACE, I'm not very good at introductions but hopefully this will suffice, I'm a devoted Halo fan and I'm just slightly new to the 343i.org community. I just thought I might as well just introduce myself, because just by simply posting less than 10 posts I have really gotten addicted to this forum I'm by far not the greatest Halo player in the world, but if you ever want to play with or against me my GT is General PWNFACE, or I use a secondary account which is KittenDestroyer. I'm extremely friendly and a great team player so if you ever just want to play a good, fun game just hit me up I'm usually very knowledgeable about most things Halo or in general Xbox 360 related, but I don't claim to know everything about everything. But anyhow thanks for welcoming me to the community and I hope to have a great time while on this site

One thing I've always wondered when I get matched up against people in matchmaking, is exactly how long those people have been playing Halo for and what was the first game they ever played. It always brings back good memories when I think about when I first started playing and just rushed with whatever version of the AR there was, and thinking of what a noob I was. I personally first played Halo: Combat Evolved when it first came out in 2001, but at the time I was only 8 and thought it was stupid because I was so horrible at it, but I eventually got interested in it again when I got into High School and I regularly played Halo 3 with people from my school after school every chance I got. I guess to end it I just want to ask two questions... How Long Have You been playing Halo and what was the first game you played?

My personal favorites are DMR, Sniper and the Focus Rifle.... Always have been a long ranged player, but gotta say that the focus rifle owns short to medium range if you have a good steady aim

This forum thread looks to be dead at the moment, but however one thing that no one has mentioned thus far in this discussion is the fact that reach has TWO ranking systems, one being the Cr system and the second being the Arena Ranking system. If any further discussion should result on this thread, I beg of them to please consider the Arena system that almost nobody ever even thinks about. I personally love this system because it does make you go up against people of similar skill, and you slowly get better over time because you are forced to play people of similar skill as yourself, and if you do worse you simply get bumped down to a certain percentage, i.e. Originally being 35% Silver and after going through a losing streak you get knocked down to 50% silver. This not only still keeps you with people of similar skill so you can still improve and eventually earn your rating back, but when you do eventually get better it will bump you up to the next group, with if you go with the original example it would put you in the gold category. The point I'm simply trying to get across is that nobody even considers the Arena ranking system, when it is a decently viable option when considering a solution to finding a good compromise between all the ranking systems. Sure the H2 system seems like the best option, and the H3 system was a pathetic attempt to rank people, however before anymore discussion is held please consider the statements above. Hopefully this stimulates some more conversation in this community, but how should I know, maybe nobody will ever see this message and this point of view will die here Edit: Forgot to mention how quitting effects the ranking and how betrayals make your rating go down, just thought that might help if this ever seriously gets considered by anybody.
