i'm sure forerunner vision will only be similar to that in gears 3. the random weapon spawns aren't totally random......it apparently will structured on a similar timer and the power weapons such as rockets / sniper will probably have 2 locations as an example......this will add something different and makes teams adapt (and use) more of the map.......think reflection in reach.....10% of the map is used (main hall)..... people also mention their love for Halo 2 /3 (which i dearly love too).....think for a minute though.......most of these H2 / 3 players are getting older now and probably are starting careers, having familys or finishing university etc which means they don't have much gaming time........are we the main target demographic????? of course not.....it's unfortunate in some ways that the game has to evolve to cater for, and hopefully attract new players......but, this was always going to happen with H4.....it was never ever going to be halo 2 or 3 wrapped in new graphics...... nostalgia can sometimes get in the way and clouds the judgement of some......."a bands new album is never usually as good as there last"......or at least takes time for people to adapt to it.........lets at least wait and see some gameplay and further explanation before jumping on the hate bandwagon......

i think everyone needs to just calm down and wait until we see some gameplay footage regarding these changes. i'm very nostalgic when i think of halo but the series does need to evolve from the H2 / 3 days....i still want it to be halo though.......i have no doubt that the customisation will enable gametypes and playlists such as mlg etc to control what they want in, and what they would prefer to leave out.......i'm also sure there will be a vast array of playlists that cater for all types of gamers. spartan points...........lame name but this could be ok......it's obvious after the first look vid that the scoring isn't just kill based.....this isn't a bad thing as it promotes team work and gives you points for assists etc....... spartan ops........lame name again.......concept sounds good and the updates to this are free......this is obviously what is replacing firefight which is fine with me.....the majority of reach's players only played firefight to get daily challenge credits..... Loadouts...........not sold on this but........they have stated that no power weapons will be avaiable from spawn.....i'm sure this might be your choice of an AR, BR or perhaps DMR primary start weapon, secondary weapon choice is also in ?.....hopefully grenades are standard......and armor ability would also be able to change....the positive is that i can hopefully start with a BR and not have to continually have to look for one.....especially on a map like zealot where there were 2 DMR's!!!! sprint..............i'm actually fine with this......some say it wrecks the game but i actually think it's a good thing......if the br is a 4 shot kill again then this should keep people from getting away like they can in reach......where sprint is great is in BTB......having no sprint in that makes map movement far to slow IMO. Forerunner vision, hologram, inviz and jet pack................we'll have to see what forerunner visioin is like but look on the bright side......at least armor lock seems to be gone....yay..... what i don't like or at least hope they balance is something like a sprinting inviz guy flying at you without being very visible etc...... Elites Not Returning to Multiplayer...........i'm stoked about this news......elite slayer in reach was a waste of time IMO.......can't stand it......best news to come out so far.......sorry to all the elite lovers out there..... Instant spawn.................lots of hate regarding this but give 343 a go......i'm sure they're making sure this is balanced with regards to spawn point areas etc.......they have said that H4 will be faster paced......as long as it's not flawed then i'm fine with this........ No fixed weapon spawn locations...........not sure how this'll work but once again lets see how it plays out.......perhaps the location of the rockets for instance willl move around and have for example 3 spawn locations. it may be in sequence and spawn every 3 min as usual but go from initial spawn 1, then to spawn point 2, then 3 for example.....what this would create that is positive is that teams cant just hold down one location of the map and also gives the other team a chance....take reflection from reach.....the main hall way is where 80-90% of the game is played......having moving spawns for power weapons would hopefully see some of the other areas of the map used more etc........ Joining In-Progress Games...........this is great but is still getting some hate.........i cant understand this??? i understand that joining a game half way through or near the end isn't ideal, but, it's far better than being stuck in a 1 vs 4 or 2 vs 4 because the other members of your team have left..... out of around a dozen games the other day, players dropped out in at least half of the games.....this will also be good for friends joining sooner.......someone drops out, pause, invite a friend who can join instantly.......sounds great to me...... The other most exciting thing mentioned for me was the spartan training facility or ship.........it's apparently a training ground for spartans and apparently the arenas can emulate any kind of enviroment through it's virtual reality training space....this is where multiplayer takes place........hopefully this means a greater array in maps, forge creation tools etc.......the 2 maps they have shown (briefly) look good.......lets hope that all maps are built with competitive play in mind as this usually means balance maps.........no more maps like reflection where 10% of the map is used.....and bring back guardian too.....

sorry to burst your bubble but what you are suggesting is horrible and would be nearly impossible to balance........dual energy swords? 4 types of grenades, every weapon ( would like the BR back though) Sometimes less is more and those 2 examples would create an absolute mess.....8 grenades spamming etc.....totally agree with forge though.......want to see smaller areas to forge that are all a different setting with different style pieces..... My 3 things that would make H4 successful....for me ranking system ^^^^^ totally agree.......along with ranked playlists.......as long as de ranking is worked on and quitting has big penalties in ranked..... better forge options......smaller forge areas that are different settings etc.....mentioned above....the real reason though is so we have a greater variety of maps in Matchmaking.....mlg is boring for noobs to watch in reach as the maps aren't appealing........watch some H3 mlg.....much better...... streamline AA's.......only have them as pickups and sprint as default.......4 shot kill like H3 would be welcome for me too.......

I hope they have some more playlist options but i cant stand elite slayer......it's ended up being like team rockets from H3.......Love the slayer pro list idea which would be a good start for players before they go and play mlg......and it would be great to know you'll always have a DMR / BR start........my other thoughts on playlists social / ranked playlist similar to H3 but with de-ranking sorted in ranked games 6v6 list for more full on action on the standard size maps......or have 5v5 in social slayer like H3 if some rumours are true, there might be some bigger battles........maybe 16v16 for example...... Maybe a half shield playlist or 2 shot.......just a thought....

There is a youtube vid that claims due to having some inside knowledge that the ranking system will be from 1-100 in H4.....probably bull s&*% but you never know...... i want ranking back........but.......they need a way of getting rid of de-rankers in ranked games. i lost count in halo 3 of how many ranked games were played with a player doing nothing......

I heard on a youtube video that appareantly ranked games will be back, but instead of 1-50 it is 1-100......regardless of the max number, i'm sure ranked will be back in H4.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but......I personally hope they also expand on forge after release with an expansion pack dlc of different structures / objects etc......They could offer a completely different theme for all pieces as a basic example or offer different setting / background.......i really hope the forge community is supported post release as this would greatly enhance the game. I'm sure after a few months forgers would love to have some additional tools to play with.....We need better looking forge maps 343....please listen.....

The pit, guardian and construct are the maps i'd happily seei H4............they also need heaps more maps around this size in general matchmaking.....slayer of most of the 4v4 playlists are getting boring in reach....... -

Totally agree with you mate ^^^^^^^.......I loved the good old halo 2 / 3 days but we can get all nostalgic about things.....it's been 5 years now since halo 3 and lets hope their is a balance between keeping the good old halo feel but also appealing / catering to the greater population or bringing something new as well (bring back ranked though).....i agree with armor abilities (except sprint) being pick ups, not load outs........i also hope they balance sprint with a 4 shot kill like halo 3 and remove bloom........My biggest wish is for forge to be a more fleshed out experience......some of the forgers around make some insane maps....but...... they all look the same....i've mentioned this before but look at MLG......(Which i like watching) but to someone new watching all of the forge world maps they use (except 2), would look boring as bat s&^% when compared to BF3 or COD maps......News players to halo look on You tube etc but if all they see is forge world grey then it wouldn't add to the appeal......i've recently watched some H3 mlg and it kills reach as far as maps go......pit, guardian, construct....If forge can control colour of forge pieces so they aren't all grey soncrete jugles & offer aesthetic objects then the general appeal for the game would increase dramatically IMO.....I've bought all DLC for reach but have hardly played it as it never appears in the more populated playlists.......i'd love to see some more variety in maps, more often in matchmaking....but of maps that are nearly as good as official DLC......

Above all else after playing a lot of reach since release, the most important thing for me is having better forge options so the game becomes more up to date......while some of the dlc for reach was ok (CEA) maps that is.....the main issue with reach is how stale and boring all the maps look when craeted in forge world.......if 343 can revamp the forge tools and give forgers enough power to create variation of colour back ground /setting....sand, snow, industrial, forest etc.... and add a heap of enviromental objects so that we can have a good variety of maps in matchmaking.....dead bodies, blood splatter, wrecked / flaming vehicles and a more extensive colour options would give forgers the ability to make some amazing and interesting maps for the community.......look at MLG.....every map they use except zealot i think is a concrete jungle....we then wonder why the community is in decline??? the top 3 maps i'd like back are guardian, the pit (non forge world) and construct.....3 amazing maps.....

i really hope that sprint stays........every thing else can go as far as i'm concerned.....the only way other AA's could work is if they were a pick up such as MLG use with evade......sprint is one of the important things i'd like to remain in H4......sprint is important as it speeds up play when you're trying to get in the action and have spawned a long way away.....some people say that is wrecks / slows down the game but that is only with the 5 shot kill.....if this was reduced to the H3 4 shot it would balance out and still punish bad map movement.....for those that can use it well, it does give you a small chance to escape certain situations which is also important, i've enjoyed watching videos or someone being able to escape a clutch situation by good use of sprint...... If the player is good they should still be able to finish you off before you can escape.....
