For being the official Halo website, Waypoint sure is horribly out of date. I was looking at the universe section, and the weapon descriptions are from Reach!!! Same for vehicles and lots of other stuff as well. Wtf, Microsoft? Check it out.

I don't care if the vehicle roster dropped to 50% of its current size if they would bring back the Halo 3 system where your vehicle could be damaged to the point of near inoperability but wouldn't actually explode until you died. Or if they made the vehicles more impervious to small arms fire. Seriously, the 30 caliber bullets fired from the DMR should not so easily destroy armored vehicles; the same can be said for the other small arms. You can now spawn with plasma grenades and pistol; infantry can fight off vehicles with these. It is no longer necessary for small arms to damage vehicles so heavily. It would not be hard to introduce weighted damage on the vehicle hp.

Hornet is a good light transport but the Falcon is the equivalent of the Sky Warthog; it's much faster, promotes teamwork, and handled better. The hornet's ability to hover was cool, but it would never beat a banshee in a straight up fight. Now that 343 is bringing back power vehicles, I'd like to see the missile hornet. If I had to pick, I'd pick Falcon because I had more fun piloting it, but the two vehicles are really in a separate class so I see no reason not to have both.

You could just not use the BR and then what is the problem?

I think the whole "better armor" thing doesn't even count as evidence, and isn't necessarily even true.

The whole series is rather like a love story between Cortana and Master Chief, arguably platonic or not.

I was expecting some greater purpose to this thread other than what amounts to be a wiki entry.

It's been awhile since I played but I think I recall that the Didact is using the Composer to steal the souls of human beings and turn them into mindless followers. They are not AI's, they are living beings trapped in a mechanical body and forced to do the Didact's bidding. I think some of the original Prometheans were Forerunners as well.

I hope he is dead otherwise that last battle and the lost of Cortana become much less climatic, although I don't see who could possibly be the villain in the next game. Clearly, the Forerunners are the bad guys in this Trilogy along with the Storm Covenant. Maybe they will shift to them during the next game, trying to resurrect more Forerunenrs or some ****. And there are still the Halos.... That is what the game is titled.

I hope that she is dead simply because the effect would be lost if she turned out to be alive. I think it would be very poor writing to kill her like that and then undo it.

How is Cortana a "side character"? She has literally been with you as your guardian angel for the entire series. If you have no emotional connection to her at this point, then something is wrong with you.

Since the CSR is coming out I think people will be plenty busy doing that.

This is one of the reasons I am not even trying to release my game on XBL.

What do you mean "Assault Rifles"? The supresssor and AR? These are easily countered by one of the many headshot weapons you can spawn with, and the boltshot has been nerfed. Still really strong, but I think all of your complaints can be easily compensated for in game. I think other members of the community would agree with me.

I am pretty sure that the burst pistol is a prototype for the boltshot, and they probably intentionally left it wherever that guy found it as an easter egg. IF you look at the model and functionality, they are almost identical. Also it is clearly of Forerunner design.
