Dual weilding crippled so many weapons if they weren't dual weild. Bungie didn't like how it pretty much cut out one of their triangle of combat or whatever (guns, melee, and grenades) and 343 didn't know how to balance dual weilding with loadouts. I really have never been able to understand why some people make such a big deal out of it. Without it there will still be plenty of options for close-mid range combat, and hopefully it means more mid-long range and more fun/unique weapons.

Remade 3 times...? Do they consider High Ground a remake now or am I just not remembering what all maps were in Reach? I would be ok with it being remade, it is a fun map to play on, but there are other maps that I'd rather have remade instead of this one.

Please take a moment to think about how absurd and ridiculous this would be. 6 rockets to take down? You literally need to have 2 separate rocket spawns picked up, controlled by your team, and NOT use them until you see a pelican in the sky. Even then, you have to be a marksman with them if they don't include lock on ability and have both people stay alive long enough to pop off at least 2 rockets each. 4 laser blasts? The charge up and cool down time between blasts alone would make this an impossible feat to pull off unless the pelican is flying completely straight and isn't smart enough to duck behind cover. As for the person that said the pilot needs to have an option to open/close the door in the back, the passengers would already be protected enough since you can only hit them from behind. Passengers need to be vulnerable in vehicles since they can carry objective items and the pelican already provides too much cover in my opinion. I would rather they stay out of matchmaking and are soley controllable in campaign and custom games.

First about the shotgun thing. OP as ****! Having a weapon that completely and utterly dominates both short and mid range battles that is as easy to use as a shotgun could easily make the game not have a community very quickly after launch. No way would anyone willingly do this in a game, especially if their claim is that they are making the game with a competitive mindset. Which brings me to the second part about the maps being "HUGE". This too would only contradict what they have said about making maps with competitive play in mind. If all the maps are huge then they can wave bye-bye to the thought of the game ever being used competitvely. Now if this means that only the big maps are huge and there are still a good amount of small/mid sized maps, then I'm ok with it. And lastly, the tidbit about scorpion upgrades. If anything the scorpion needs a nerf or to stay how it was in reach. The lack of anti vehicle weapons and the scorpion already toasting any other vehicle fairly easily already would make this awful news if it is true.

Halo 4: Your thoughts on the changes & additions.
TerribleTimbo replied to Baby Boo's topic in Halo 4
I could have sworn I read it from the information people got when that group got to play in NYC last week. Maybe it was killa kc's? I can't remember but the person didn't notice any weapons just laying around to be picked up. Could have also been set up that way and 343 was only showing weapons they were happy with so far. -
Halo 4: Your thoughts on the changes & additions.
TerribleTimbo replied to Baby Boo's topic in Halo 4
Hmmm where to begin... Things I like Multiplayer models are sweet No elites in matchmaking No armor lock BR and DMR are back and have different roles Return of the carbine New enemies to face in the campaign Maps are being made with competitive gameplay in mind Faster base movement speed Loadouts are returning Things I'm unsure about Promethean/Forerunner Vision Ranking system (need concrete proof there is a skill based ranking system) Railgun (as long as it's not a one hit kill anywhere on the body and/or a shortish range then it'll be fine) Having to unlock things for loadouts Armor actually affecting gameplay in some way Instant respawn in slayer Scoring system (is it really just increments of 10 now or has every clip we've seen just so happen to increase the score by 10 so far?) "Random" weapon drops Apparently no weapons on maps There is probably more but I can't think of any right now. I'm excited either way though strictly because they're making it with a competitive mindset. -
It would not work at all. Flag in a base? Bring down the ceiling. Floating map? Start making holes everywhere. 3 entrances to a base? Lets make it 5. Etc, etc.

Halo 4 Puts An Emphasis On Larger Maps to Support Vehicles
TerribleTimbo replied to Archangel Tyrael's topic in Halo 4
I just hope vehicles are balanced and/or people on foot stand a chance on bigger maps. I'd hate for one or more of the maps to basically become unplayable if you didn't want to be in a vehicle. -
At no point in the video did it every say that the 1-50 ranks, or a similar system, will not appear in Halo 4. All we got from the video is that we will be earning xp and that the post game update status is like Reach's.

Of course bring it back. It helps make ctf games fast paced and gives the flag carrier options (slow and stealthy or fast and broadcast your position).

MLG's Killa_KC Posts His Thoughts on the Halo 4 Playtest
TerribleTimbo replied to Archangel Tyrael's topic in Halo 4
Having someone from MLG come and play test the came has no impact on halo 4's chances of being on the circuit. If they can ship it with good maps and make it with competitive settings right from the start then its chances will be high. -
Am I the only one who found this part incredibly funny in the first post? On topic though, the way info has been released without any sort of details has caused many people to have serious concern. Much of the new features sound bad but they may not end up turning out any way people are predicting. And instead of actually releasing some sort of details on the most polarizing news for the community, we get nothing. I'm personally trying to keep up beat on all the information until I can actually play it, but I can see why some people are freaking out so much.

Killa KC talks about his playtime in this topic. I'm somewhat shocked to hear that bloom is still in even though he said that it wasn't really an issue when he was playing. Definitely disappointing to hear about the pistol though. 6 shots to kill but only an 8 shot clip
-
Although bxb, bxr, and the double/quad shot were glitches, they did help create a wider skill gap for competitive play. As much fun, and frustrating, they were to use in Halo 2, I wouldn't want to see them back because they were glitches and weren't indended to be in the game.

Day one preorder. Not sure if it will be with a store or just get first day delivery from Amazon or some other site.
-
As cool as it would be to walk around the ship I don't see something like this happening....ever. That would be a lot of time and work spent to make something that is literally just an elaborate, and potentially frustrating, menu for players to use.
-
I'm assuming that they weren't random considering someone as important to MLG as KillaKC got to be there. The power weapon drops sound a bit weird...wonder how exactly someone earns the ability to choose what drops in? Time alive? Kills? Deaths? Score? I'm glad that the overall feeling of everyone was that it felt like halo and that none of them had anything bad to say after their time playing. Another thing, it sounds like they managed to find balance between the BR and DMR, plus each have their own role too.

Making a gauss weapon can only end in one of two ways in my eyes. 1. It ends up being a one shot kill anywhere on the body kind of overpowered weapon with far too big of a clip. 2. Ends up being underpowered to the point of uselessness and everyone cries that it's not as strong as the one on the gauss hog.

Even though I hardly ever forge, a copy/paste feature would be nice. Or the ability to save a group of objects you placed as your own structure to your hard drive.
-
That grunt looks kinda funny to me, probably because of the methane tube though. The elite looks awesome though.
-
I hope so as well. It was also crazy annoying when an enemy would run in front of your reticle and cause it to be "pulled" away from the person you were shooting at. I already said this in another topic but...that strafe speed!
-
Awesome strafe speed is awesome.
-
I'd rather have them come up with fresh new armor ideas than bring back a bunch of old ones. I didn't like hayabusa in halo 3 and probably still wouldn't if it is brought back.
-
They probably had a decision that started off something like this "Should we put resources into a player model that a minority of the community will ever play as/use, or put those resources into other more meaningful things?" For all we know, elites may be being replaced with something else to play as. Either way, I'm not bothered by their removal from multiplayer.
