I agree with everything except the bold part. Couldn't you get in the Halo 3 beta via Crackdown or from one of a bunch of online drawings? I wouldn't really consider that to be a closed beta.

MLG then drops the game you went pro following the event. I wish I had a superpower.

What Vehicle Would You Like To See More In MPOn Halo 4???
TerribleTimbo replied to Fail Master's topic in Halo 4
The banshee was too dominant in Acension and there were no banshees in Blood Gulch. On topic though, is there even any vehicles in forge that are hardly used in multiplayer besides the gauss warthog? I'm not really ever in a vehicle unless I'm messing around so I don't really know what vehicles are on each map. -
That would throw the balance of the game way off if it was in MM. The only possible way I could see anyone being able to control a vehicle like that is in campaign, but it would probably end up being a lackluster level.

Sounds to me like the comment is telling people not to get their hopes up about the brute shot. Or on a broader scale, don't assume that anything is definitely going to be in or the way it was before. Assuming of course this guy even has ties to 343 or MGS (I don't really ever go to NeoGAF so I don't know).

Maybe I didn't play Sandtrap enough to fall in love with the elephant but I couldn't care less if it came back.

I'm the only person that voted no haha. Not that I dislike the smg necessarily, but more because I dislike dual weilding in general and if the smg was brought back then chances are dual weilding would return as well.

Rank is pretty much already based off w/l (in halo 2/3). I would be incredibly disappointed if they decided to make rank based off K/D because that shows a persons skill even less than looking at their w/l.

MLG messes with where weapons spawn in order to make that map more balanced for each team and to try to not make any position dominant because a power weapon and power weapon both spawn there. And for the most part, default spawns are pretty bad...well MLG spawns can be bad at times too but it seems to happen less often.

I would rather have someone on my team actually helping out rather than off somewhere camping hoping to get a medal in an objective game. While I agree that there should be some sort of medal that you can get in objective games that show you were dominating, it shouldn't be strictly based on slaying. Maybe something like...you got the majority of your teams objective points while still going at least +10.

I don't think you played Halo 1 based off your post. They did away with the health bars for Halo 2/3 and brought them back for Reach. It has been too long since I played Halo 1 to remember if the health actually did slowly recover in multiplayer or not, but I don't think it did.

If MLG has Halo 4 on the circuit then it will have a matchmaking playlist. Frank O'Connor has been known to post on their forums and 343 is helping them out by getting them the anniversary maps for the upcoming event.

The regular edition unless the limited is actually a deal (like $15 worth of day one dlc but only costs $10 more).

Even though tagging enemies works in Battlefield games I don't think it would have much use in Halo. The maps aren't gigantic and we already have a radar to help track close enemies. Plus, the average sniper these days don't move around a lot so one simple call out for their location is typically enough. As for the distance thing when zooming in I don't see much use in it. After a few games you'll start to know the distance in which weapons are effective and get fairly familiar with how far you can chuck grenades. I'm sure if they want to put it in it wouldn't be too difficult to code and I highly doubt it would slow anything down, but I'd rather have them put their efforts elsewhere and only include this after everything else is done. I'm just a negative nancy, huh?

Chances are we will have to wait until E3 for them to announce if there is one. My guess is it would take place mid-summer so it would give them plenty of time to tweak everything they need to based off the data collected.

I don't see any reason why the release date should be pushed back. They've been working on this pretty much since the day 343 opened shop.

If the DMR is in Halo 4, should it be nerfed?
TerribleTimbo replied to Bubonic Blood's topic in Halo 4
The only way I ever see them nerfing a med-LONG range weapon (aka DMR/BR/bunch of other guns) at long range is if they slow down the rate of fire in which it can be shot when zoomed in, which wouldn't make sense. I bet if they remade Halo 2 with the same kind of networking capabilities today then people would be having the same complaints about the BR. If there were no way to combat a sniper that has your team pinned down then you might as well quit because you're not gonna be able to bump them out of zoom. And I'm talking about someone at a distance of like...a base to mid-map on hemmorage. Also, if someone is hitting you with a DMR time it so you zoom in and can get a shot on them between their shots to get them out of zoom. 9 times out of 10 you will win that battle if you can keep them out of zoom after that. Or just don't stray to far from cover as you move across the map... tl;dr I don't see them nerfing guns to the point that the sniper alone rules long range. -
On a LAN with Halo 2 you could shoot cross map with ease if I remember correctly.

Have another scarab gun. Random people/enemies if you get outside a level (like that marine on 343 guilty spark). Skulls obviously, though I don't know if they're necessarily considered easter eggs now. A golden warthog too.
-
More customization for custom gametypes. Like if you could somehow tweak how powerful each weapon is so people can make weapons kinda act however they see fit. A good variety of maps, both asthetically and in size.
-
A list of maps from all the halos that I wouldn't mind if they were remade are: Battle Creek/Beaver Creek/Battle Canyon Sidewinder/Avalance (prefered Sidewinder) Damnation/Penance Rat Race (so sue me this map was a fun, interesting 4v4 one) Prisoner/Solitary Hang em High/High Noon (tombstone wasn't a good remake from what I remember) Chill Out/Cold Storage Derelict (desolation was not a good remake either) Wizard/Warlock Timberland/Ridgeline Lockout (Blackout was...just not the same) Midship/Heretic Colossus Headlong/Breakneck Waterworks Containment (I thought it was cool) Sanctuary Terminal Citadel Guardian The Pit Valhalla Countdown Zealot Tempest Highlands

I'm sure this has already been said but they would need to fix how assassinations are executed for them to be in halo 4. I've been forced into an assassination when I didn't want to so many times from just tapping the melee button once and not holding it.

I mean combat evolved, not the custom edition. Dual weilding kinda hindered the guns that were able to be dual weilded. None of the weapons that could be dual weilded that come to mind were even good enough to pick up by themselves, they HAD to be dual weilded to be effective. The exception being the plasma pistol, of course, and the plasma rifle to an extent.
-
It wasn't because of dual weilding. Reach isn't as wildly popular because plays so much different than previous halo's because bungie decided to make "bloom" a core mechanic. Also, Halo CE has lasted longer than 2 and 3, and it didn't have dual weilding.
