  1. TU wasn't enough, although it got me playing. This isnt implying that halo 4 wont be on the ciruit though.
  2. As good as this sounds, I doubt it will be very good. Spec ops in Call of duty is a lot of fun but I just dont see how its going to work in halo.
  3. I'm referring to the fact that they haven't confirmed or denied 1-50, yet somehow leaked other parts of the ranking system. Not sure how much longer I can wait for this.

  5. Elite Slayer is the stupidest thing ever, IMO. Yes it is fun to mess around as an elite but getting rid of them would get rid of elite slayer, which I would do anything to get rid of.
  6. The random weapon respawns just makes the game noob friendly which i strongly disagree with. Obviously MLG will not have random respawning weapons (I hope) so this wont be a universal thing. Also how can a weapon randomly respawn on a larger map? Theres a high likelihood that noone will find it.

  8. BxR, BxB, and Double Shotting were legal in MLG during halo 2. Superbouncing was not legal. Personally I loved all of these glitches because as Skittlze said they provided seperation. Double shotting and BxR'ing effectively did take skill because you needed headshots to get the kill, and double shotting was not an easy glitch to master. BxB was useful as well; although not as effective as BxR it was helpful if you didnt have a BR or Carbine. Superbouncing provided hours of fun in custom games trying to master bounces and get to never before reached places. Combine that with sword cancelling and butterflying, and you could glitch out of most levels in the game. These elements will never be put back in any game, but I still cherish the fun they provided. By the way yes I and many others used to superbounce in matchmaking. It was too much fun sniping people from out of maps to not do it. I could superbounce on top of lockout, ascencion, burial mounds (out of map), zanzibar(on top of the wheel, roof, and out of the map) , headlong (crane and out of map), foundation, warlock, turf (out of map), sanctuary (in the tree haha) , and terminal (out of map).
  9. Its different because of the concepts, but in reality its just wins and losses. The exterior is what makes it drastically different and some people wouldnt like that.
  10. I cant see this ever being implemented in a halo game because of how drastically different its been from ranking systems theyve used in the past. However I do like it and would support it if it was ever implemented.
  11. One of my friends gets disconnected whenver his house phone rings so whenever we're playing with him and he either gets disconnected or we go black screen we joke around about his phone ringing or calling his house
  12. @Mr biggles and Timbo, can one of you (when you get a chance) explain the starcraft ranking system in detail? I am curious as to how it works/how it could apply to halo. Timbo also as for making it purely based off win/loss, I would love that but that isn't the definition of a ranking system. (see original post) Also the idea that someone gets 15 kills, 8 assists, and 10 deaths getting less EXP than someone who went 15-2-2 still makes sense if you look at it in a different way. I know they didnt really help the team out in terms of team shooting, but they certainly didnt hurt the team (only 2 deaths!). You could argue that the 2nd player helped out the team more or less than the 1st one, and I cannot see a clear winner. Tough spot we've hit here.
  13. First of all, halo 2 was much more fast paced than halo 3, because of Double shotting, BxR, BxB, and the size of the competitive maps. Maps like midship, lockout, and warlock provided quick action. In halo 3, many of the maps were too big and I felt it was a little slower than halo 3.
  14. Timbo I think you bring up a good point. I honestly don't know how to answer that. You stumped me :thumbdown: . Lets think of a way we can modify that.
  15. You can't implement levels in playlists if your ranked by your recent games. Other than that, we have similar ideas. Your idea is something that would make the Reach ranking system better. Also I think you made it too complicated with different ranking systems for different playlists. Just make it differentiate slayer and objective, doesnt matter if its FFA or team or swat.
  16. Let them take their time with it... I'm in no rush just as long halo 5 comes out for the new xbox.
  17. I played default until halo 3 and then all of a sudden bumper jumper was the new thing. I never looked back since. It's definitely much easier to melee with RB.
  18. What do you mean by gold and silver? Everything else you said is included.
