  1. http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/careerstats.aspx?player=Destroyaaa Unfortunately I highly doubt 343i will actually take into consideration any of these ideas at this stage of the game. They should know by now what they want to do with the game. I'm going to make this quick because like I said, they know what they want to do. To me, AA's aren't a huge deal I play a lot of MLG and they dont have them to start. It can be a bit annoying at times but it does add a new element to the game that I dont mind too much. It isnt what made Reach less fun. What did make Reach less fun was a combination of that + DMR + Bloom. DMR is pretty much a sniper and it shrinks the size of any map you are playing because of its range. Bloom is something that was brand new to Halo and should never belong in this game. Bloom slowed down the game because you have to time your shots. Vehicles in Reach are also pretty bad because you can just get your teammates to DMR them to death. Halo 3 had the perfect vehicle health system. I think customizeable loadouts will be choices such as 1. Starting with plasma grenades or frags 2. BR or Plasma rifle 3. Plasma Pistol as a secondary or regular pistol I doubt it will be anything drastic Ever since the title update, I got back into Reach. Playing MLG has began to somewhat feel like halo again. MLG has zero bloom and faster walking speed so I think thats what did the trick. Halo 4 is going to be a competitive game as Frank O' Conner said so I am excited for that. The ranking system needs to be a combination of halo 2, 3, and reach. For each ranked playlist, you need a exp system like halo 2's. You also need a rank like in reach up to Inheritor where you earn credits after each game for armor and other stuff to unlock. This system would have ranked and social playlists and would satisfy all gamers. I am excited for halo 4 and I think they will have similar ideas as to what I just came up with for the game. There are other minor issues I missed but this is the big picture.

    Playing Pros

Just curious if anyone here has ever played pros, whether in custom games, MLG playlists, or other matchmaking playlists or even at events. This is a list of pros and other semi pros that I have played. as well as where I played them (That I remember/aware of) NocturnalKernal (MLG playlist and customs) Heinz (Customs in H3) Neighbor (MLG Playlist in H3) Best Man (MLG Playlist in H3) Hysteria (H3 customs) IntheClutch (big team batlle haha) Dersky (H3 Customs) Strongside (H2 Challenge) Elamitewarior ( H2 Challenge) Most of the time I lost, but I did win some of the times I played these people.
  3. Just to inform you guys bill gates has no plans of giving his money to his children...
  4. There are ways around that in which you can customize. You could have your shields regenerate at a really high speed so that the person wouldnt die unless it was a 1 shot kill (which in your case would be a sniper bullet to the head). In halo 2 you could change your handicap for similar results. But yes it should just be an option.
  5. Whats funny is that super bouncing ended up becoming a legitimate strategy for many people in matchmaking. I would spend hours bouncing and doing the million glitches found in halo 2. Glitches made halo 2 a lot more enjoyable because getting out of maps and on top of buildings provided a fun exploration for all involved. Remember the letters in blood on backwash? The seemingly endless walk on the outside of Gemini? Bouncing to the top of the crane on Headlong? No company can purposely allow for these things to happen, yet I had so much fun doing them. Companies want and have to make their game perfect and unfortunately the glitches of halo 2 will never be allowed to happen again in any new games.

    Team Snipers

Remember team snipers in halo 2? Starting with a Human sniper and the Beam rifle was the reason team snipers in h2 was so much fun. The beam rifle was better than the human sniper back then provided a quick 2 shot kill. In halo 3, for some reason the game did not allow you to spawn with a beam rifle. I do not understand how this happened, but not having a beam rifle to start with in team snipers made it slower paced. I would pick up a beam rifle whenever I found one on the map, but it wasnt the same. Halo 4 needs the beam rifle back or a sniper similar to it. The focus rifle in Reach was just awful. It takes forever to kill someone and you need to hit them with practically the whole thing before it overheats.
  7. That sounds like fun and yes I agree, vehicle warfare needs some work. In halo 3 big team battle I played with some friends and we used vehicle tactics pretty well. The vehichles in reach get destroyed by DMR's so its harder to do.
  8. There was nothing better than sitting in a party in halo 2 shuffling through playlists and having the highest level in those playlists than anyone. But yes you are correct. For example, if I am constantly going up to a 27 and down to a 23, you'll soon realize that you have the skill of a level 25. If you breeze right through these levels and are having the same problem at 37-33, you'll realize thats where your skill level is right now. Also dont think you'll be stuck in those ranges forever you can always get better/play with better people. I was stuck at a 36-34 for a while and then I met some people who I started to play a lot of custom games with. I improved and when we went back into matchmaking I broke out of that range and went on to a 41 in slayer, and a 43 in snipers. Play social playlists if you want to play casually. Not much more I can say about that.
  9. I think your over reacting. Dont tell me that your not going to buy this game when you know you're a big halo fan. I am excitied to see what the campaign is about as well as return to fast paced style of play back in halo 2. I know we have differing views but give it a chance man.
  10. I mean unless your trying to get an achievement for a perfection, your going to want to keep doing what your doing and try and get as many kills as possible.
  11. Play MLG then. Its competitive even in Reach. I'm not arguing with you I want the 1-50 system as much as you, but it seems that halo 4 will be fun and competitive regardless, while Reach isnt competitive except MLG
  12. The game will still be competiitive, as they addressed in the video. As much as I want a 1-50 ranking system, I will still buy this game if it doesn't exist because of how impressed I was from the fast paced gameplay they showed. I am the biggest supporter of a 1-50 matchmaking system and I still was blown away by that video.
  13. you can play with a wired xbox 360 controller via usb. works like a charm
  14. That 4 is wayyyy to big. Dont like the look at all. The letters are way to spaced out. I'd like to play multiplayer, not M U L T I P L A Y E R. Then again we are talking about a title screen and I could care less.
  15. As long as your not cheating, anything goes. Don't complain if someones camping because it is completely legal. Just like spawn killing is legal.
  16. It has definitely brought people back to the game (like myself) since its release. I proboably played halo reach for 2-3 months when it came out and put it down until about 2 weeks ago. I started playing it out of boredom and realized that there was a title update and slowly realized there was ZB games. This has made this game somewhat enjoyable.
  17. It was fun but they can do better than sandtrap. No need for a remake just make a better version of it.
  18. You'll never get better if you don't watch how the pros play Anyways, football sundays I watch every game I possibly can. The NFL is the most exciting league in the world. (not counting the FIFA world cup which isn't a league)
  19. I'm at work right now and I just ordered a copy of halo 2 (my game is really scratched and takes forever for my xbox to read it) and I want to play halo 2 online again. Now I have done this YEARS ago plugging my xbox right into my computer and playing halo 1 and halo 2. Does this now work with WIFI?
  20. Not only should this be in forge, but I think it should be an option for loadouts in multiplayer. For example one of the spartan loadouts could be that you get 2 marines or an ODST or something of that nature. If we get to play as elites or forerunners or something else, they could have a similar loadout. These loadouts should not be available for smaller maps, in my opinion. As for forge, you could get real creative with NPCs, which is something I'd love to see in halo 4.
  21. They need to put a bigger emphasis on Big team battle. Halo Reach is the only game that I have seen that a decent percentage of players plays big team. They got rid of it as a ranked playlist in halo 2 and in halo 3 due to lack of players. If they make it like you have just described, or as I described here http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/6272-12-on-12-16-on-16/, it would make for a great game.
  22. Exactly, thats why I think this may be more of a Halo 5 question, but I'm having wishful thinking
  23. Is it possible? I used to play SOCOM 3 and SOCOM Combined assault on PS2. I started late, as SOCOM 2 is, from the true fans of the game, the best one. There are elements from Combined Assault that I really enjoyed that 343i might want to consider. For all of the maps, you could either play the big or the small version of the map. The big version was 16 v 16 compatible and was the entire map, while the small version was 8 v 8 compatible and closed off the map into a smaller area. Now there were some enormous maps in this game, and you pretty much had to use vehicles if you wanted to get from one side of the map to another. You could also choose between 2 or 3 spawn areas on the big maps so you could get where you want to go faster. SOCOM did not have respawn and was a round by round game, so this system does not apply for halo, but elements of this can be used. I have friends that play halo but they like other games better, but they always say that if halo was 16 v 16 it would be the best game ever. I tend to agree (although I think it already is the best game ever ). My dream halo scenario is Multi bomb on a giant map Elites vs Spartans. The elite base is a downed cruiser and the spartans base is a downed ship as well. The middle of the map is a desert with lots of hills, valleys, rocks, and a river. Each team would have multiples of every vehicle known to it, even pelicans, dropships, phantoms, as well as multiple teleporters in the ships to get you to places around the map. Also for Multi bomb there would be at least 2, possibly 3 points where you could arm the bomb, so that the you would have to defend multiple areas and not just camp 1 spot (SOCOM demolition had 2 points where the offense could plant the bomb). Also maybe they keep loadouts and have one of the elite loadouts give you a jackel and 2 grunts as well as a spartan loadout with 2 marines? Point im trying to make is that if they made Big team games with this magnitude, I probably would never put the controller down. Take Halo 3 Sandtrap and build off that (again this is all depending on if the game could handle it). Maybe not halo 4 but when halo 5 comes out on the new xbox, This is what I want to see. Big team doesn't get the attention it deserves because when played right, I think it is the most fun playlist Halo has to offer. Remember the opening cutscene of "Tip of the Spear" in Reach? Imagine that in multiplayer; clashing vehicles with vehicles: Covenant vs Humans. Also notice how I haven't mentioned MW3 Ground War. There is nothing different in Ground War than a regular playlist other than the fact that you play the bigger maps with more people. Lets NOT follow this example.
