Is the PS2 network still up? A few months ago I tried to play SOCOM combied assault and I couldnt get on. Not sure if it was the game or the network

Meh I used to when I had the time, but now it seems there isnt a real reward anymore. I dont even know if theres a reward for getting 100% in halo 4. Games I have 100%ed are Halo 3 (for the katana), Super mario 64 (yoshi), Crash Bash (more games), Need for speed most wanted (bonus cars), Goldeneye007 (golden gun, gold pp7, as well as a million other cheats lol).

I read more of the bulletin, there seems to be a big update in february as well and that details will be discussed later on that. Could possibly be the ranking system

I dont understand why they arent already in... This game was not ready to be released and we are still playing a beta. Even in halo 2 we were playing zombies on that haunted mansion map on foundry.... I just dont get it

Oh how I miss the epicness of halo 2. There was just so much to do!! You could say , "Im going to try and get my 40 today in slayer", or "I'm going to play some MLG customs", or "Im going to try this new superbounce" or try some glitch. The game was just amazing, but im here to talk about the epic adventures you could go on using glitches. The greatest adventures in halo 2 were trying to get on top of the X building on headlong, getting out of Gemini and trying to run to the covenant city, trying to sword cancel to the top of the huge structure outside headlong (not the one that you can drive up with the spectre), getting the scarab gun, getting out of backwash to see the words in blood, the pizza cutter on burial mounds, climing the tree on Sancturary, and trying to get on top of the skyscraper on terminal. There were so many AWESOME glitches and superbounces in halo 2 that I loved and truly miss. Post if you've done any of the things I just said.

The halo 2 main menu music/halo waypoint menu is my favorite. Its actually my ringtone!! Its just so epic. I do like the halo 4 menu music too, but the sound in general just isnt as good as Marty O'Donnell's work in the previous games. No offense to Neil Davidge and Sotaro Tojima, but the music is more complementary rather than additive, as said by Neil McCaffrey from IGN. Hearing "Blow me Away" by Breaking Benjamin in Halo 2's campaign was EPIC and it doesn't get close to that in halo 4. If anyone here watched Dragon Ball Z, the same thing happned when Bruce Falcouner was replaced in Dragon ball GT. The DBZ music was fantastic, while the GT music was pretty terrible.

Hopefully they reset it though, but based on the way this game is going they are probably going to reward the people who have played without a ranking system

Well of course, by now this should be common knowledge lol. If you have seen some of my topics about the ranking system in the past you'd know that I am the biggest supporter of H2. I cant keep pushing the same point over and over again, its gotten redundant. I will occasionally pick up halo 4 maybe once every 2 weeks and play a game or 2. Theres no point, it lacks substance. Maybe if they rank some playlists I can work to achieve something, otherwise it'll be a nice coaster. I check the halo waypoint forums because it is the official site and they havent said a thing or fixed anything that the majority of people want changed (ranking system, custom games, playlists). They made their money already, seems like they dont care if anyone is playing it. Oh and one more thing, I don't play MLG anymore but its terrible how they cant reach a deal with MLG and are looking to partner with virgin gaming. Just shows that this game is so far down the wrong road, not sure if its coming back.

Its January 8th, and I havent heard a peep about the ranking system thats supposed to be coming out early this year. Not going to rant about it here but I would like to know when its coming out so that I can try and enjoy Halo 4.

Yeah so I understand a lot of people are pissed off that Desmond dies, I personally am more surprised than angry. I made a topic about this in the link below so I'd suggest you read it about what will happen in the next game. Hi guys, so I have been playing a lot or zombies, specifically Grief on town and am getting real bored of it. I was wondering if anyone here has nuketown and if its worth getting the season pass. Also I was wondering if you can play grief on nuketown.

AC2 is the best in my opinion so you definitely need to play that. The first one isnt too good.

Id recommend it, but in the beginning of the game the story is explained so far so technically no.

Anyone here play all the Assassins creed games? I just beat AC3 a few days ago and was wondering if anyone here wanted to discuss it. If you haven't beat it yet, dont read after this, SPOILERS So if you remember after AC Brotherhood, Juno says, "There is one who would accompany you through the gate. She lies not within our sight..." Desmond then stabs Lucy and Juno says, "Only she remains to be found." We find out later that Lucy was a templar. Now in AC3, Desmond is faced with the decision to save the world by killing himself and freeing Juno or to let the world end and he start the world over and become known as a legend and then a god. He decides to pick the lesser of 2 evils and frees Juno while killing himself in the process. Juno saves the world and then plans to take it over. Now after realizing this, I was thinking to myself "What about all that stuff in Brotherhood?" The truth video with Adam and Eve? I did some more looking around and realized that the Playstation Vita game Assassins Creed 3 Liberation had the answers. The main character is Aveline (a girl assassin). In the ending cutscene (theres 2 endings, the real one is the one im talking about here) basically confirms that Aveline is a close descendent of Eve and whoever the subject that Abstergo took Avelines memories from is a close descendent of Eve, just like Desmond was a descendent of Adam. So now that Desmond (adam) saved the world but it is enslaved by Juno, Eve has a chance to redeem herself from the original sin of the Adam and Eve story and save humanity from enslavement in the next game. (Eve offered the apple to Adam, you know the story). so what do you think of that? thats my best crack at it

First of all, thanks for being considerate. This is a great post. Unlike you, I have been playing halo since the original and competed in MLG and matchmaking since Halo 2 very competitively. However, I play a lot of social playlists, forge, and goof around as well. Like you said, your not against MLG, so all 343i needs to do is put in a ranking system with ranked and social playlists and change a few things like other people in this topic have posted about. I have embraced the new changes that Halo now has (sprint, perks, etc.) and I do not mind them. Those "super hardcore only play MLG" people are quite annoying and should learn to do this as well. Overall, I agree with what your saying except that MLG should definitely NOT cater to casual players. Casual players are not as good as competitive players and dont win MLG tournaments. Period. 343i should cater to COMPETITIVE AND CASUAL PLAYERS, yet they have only catered to casual players up to this point.

Sorry but everything your saying here makes no sense. It would not take 1 day to implement a good ranking system, they need to test it out (which is currently being done now instead of before the game was released) before implementing it. They said they are implementing it into waypoint, which again is not going to appease anyone because you are still going to be matched by trueskill. Why would they not want halo 4 to last long? Makes no sense to me, due to the fact that Halo 5 is going to be released on the next generation Xbox console which doesnt even have a release date and might be coming out in 2014. Halo 5 would be released AT THE EARLIEST in late 2015, more likely 2016.
