  1. Its not that difficult, as you have to look at the factors that go into someone being in a certain spot. Aircraft (Lets use the falcon as an example) - The passenger seats would most likely be the 2 inside seats, and they would not be used for firing a weapon. Why? The default falcon already has 2 machine guns on each side, that alone can provide cover fire. The idea of a Falcon is much like a blackhawk. It would be used for transporting key personell (bomb, flag, core carriers), and aerial support against the enemy. The 2 passenger seats would work perfect, so you could grab the flag, and fly to your base. - Most people want to take out the entire aircraft, not just the gunners. Gunners can get replaced in seconds, but respawning an entire falcon to prevent it from reigning hell on your team takes longer, and is more tacticall efficient. Most power weapons weren't so hard to get a hold of, and if you didn't, hell use a sniper. The sniper in reach felt like it should of, strong, with enough well placed shots it could take down vehicles, but you do have to conserve your ammo and it wasn't too powerful. *The falcon is just an example Ground Vehicles (Lets use transport warthog) - A warthog isn't as hard to take down as say the falcon, because the warthog is ground based, and a warthog is much easier to flip. Most people understand that if a warthog flips, they have to get out of the area or they're gonna die. - Passengers could be able to fire, but what can they fire? Only personal weapons. When you are riding in a hog, its not so easy to aim from the constant movement and often bumpyness in the ride, and when you add that with small arms fire, most likely pistols, ar's and br's. It's not going to just be a killing machine that cant be stopped.
  2. While I wasn't much of a fan of armor abilities (Besides the drop shield & sprint), I would still like to see sprint. It was interesting to use, especially because it could be used to dodge a grenade/bullets. Plus, if you were to put unlimited armor abilities on you could sprint forever. Personally, I liked sprint, and think it should return in some form, but not all armor abilities.
  3. Give more of a tactical use to vehicles, i.e. transport seats in falcons or the transport warthog. Readding passenger seats to the scoprion, etc etc.
  4. Hello there new guys, Halo fans, 343, and forum-goer's. I'm Will, creator of an important active thread called "Fx5" on the Halo Xbox forums, waypoint forums, and Bungie forums. The thread expressed the want for a change to vehicles and armor options. With more news arriving for Halo 4, I believe it's a good idea to bring up an issue for Halo 4, that in recent games has been more apparent. Back in my Halo 1 days, I played alot of Halo Custom Edition. Alot of my friends and I would play on the map called "hugeass", which was exactly that, huge. On the map, players of each team spawned inside a hanger, but this hanger didn't have a bunch of warthogs and a tank. It had pelicans, longswords, super speed vehicles, and your obvious warthogs. The map was so big, that even in a pelican, it took our team a couple minutes to fly from 1 side to the other. The crew I played with loved to play CTF on this map, and we had a very popular tactic that not alot of teams used, but worked for us. Firstly, we'd take 3 teammates, put them in a warthog, and they would drive across the bottom of the map. This took awhile, so our other teammates got geared, and entered the pelican with a plan. As the warthog got close, our pelican would fly into the enemy's defense spot, and hotdrop some teammates in. These spartans were just there to fight their forces, and often die. As the enemy focused them, our warthog would grab the flag and drive back. Our dead soulja's would get into a longsword and fly towards the enemy's side. The flag carrier would load into our pelican, fly towards base, the hog would drive back covering the ground under the pelican, and when it was clear, the longsword would drop its large bomb towards the enemy base, to thwart their attempts to stop the flag carrier. This usually worked. We had similar tactics in Halo 2, with warthogs to pick up flag/bomb carriers, and Halo 3, having Hornet's do the same. But in more recent games, it seems this idea has been lost. I bring this up, because I hope that vehicles have more of a use then just to shoot each other with them. Falcons in reach didn't have passenger seats (for multiplayer), which really hurt our ability to get carriers around on maps where we had the falcon. I hope that 343 will reintroduce a tactical need for vehicles. Aircraft with passenger seats, maybe the transport hog, whatever the case may end up being. Of course, these types of vehicles would be easy killtacular's, but gaining kills wont win the game for your team in an objective mode. If not in matchmaking, forge/custom games they are really needed. I know alot of custom game's that need the vehicles with passenger seats to be better.
  5. Would be nice to have it online again, so I can do it with my friends.
