Who thinks the Operator should be able to repair vehicles?
Victory Element replied to Echo's topic in Halo 4
this actually sounds like a very interesting idea. It would provide teams a lot of support in maps with vehicles, but it may be taken advantage of. IT would cause too many issues with people hoarding vehicles, like a banshee, and being able to repair it at will. There is a solution though. Repairing could be an armor ability, but it wouldnt allow that player to be the driver in any vehicle. players in vehicles would see icons above players who have repair abilities, similar to how an icon shows above health packs when a player in injured, and they would have to coordinate repairs -
cool. it would be nice to be able to make vids if we find anything cool

Curious as to everyone's thoughts on Didact
Victory Element replied to l Lochlan l's topic in Halo 4
i dont we should even be talking about the Didact until we know which one it is. Its either the ur-didact(original) or the bornstellar didact, and they could end up very different -
thats enough evidence right above. Enough said

Many halo fans are always anxious to get all of the achievements for each new halo game. I find it a lot of fun trying to get them all and the game just doesnt feel complete without them. Easter eggs are also a lot of fun to find, even if they're already on youtube there are many achievements for halo 4 that can be done with multiple players, here is a list of them all http://www.xbox360ac...t-Revealed.html I thought it would be a cool idea to put together a group that can work together to obtain most of the halo 4 achievements and be the first to discover the easter eggs. There doesnt have to be any set times to meet or full participation, so it can be fit into anyone's halo time. Once the game comes out, you can just go to the shoutbox, say your doing achievements, and see if anyone else would like to join. You can negotiate with others to get the achievements that you need, and to help them get theirs. And if you have a lot of time on your hands, Easter egg hunts would be a lot of fun to do in groups. if you are interested, leave a gamertag, and i will do my best to keep an updated list of participants. If there are any questions, you can leave that in a reply as well. congrats on all of your time spent here. You've managed to get all the way to being a Mod, which is quite a bit of success. Halo 4 hasnt even come out yet, so you still have a few more years left with the new halo trilogy

Halo 4 Talk: Your Top 5 Weapons of Choice For Halo 4?
Victory Element replied to iFamousFilms's topic in Halo 4
1 DMR 2 light rifle 3 SAW 4 scattershot 5 sticky detonator -
i honestly like the new looks for every weapon, but they have completely different uses. My favorite overall weapon has to be the DMR because i am most comfortable with it. but in regards to the new weapons that we have, i think the SAW should be fun to use

this looks like a very cool map with a nice gametype to go with it. I will definately download this when i get the chance to do so

i dont think this is the case. Midnight is supposed to be the final mission i thought..... and in many scenes of the Return of The Forerunners vid, blue prometheans are seen fighting both MC and the covenant
-
i noticed the exact same thing, and it has me puzzled..... so if they're not doing whatever they're doing for mankind, then who or what is it for??

i know that this video has been posted in another topic, but i am going to repost it below with a list of new observations. I am going to leave the times of specific clips below to check out some new things that i have found in the vid -at 0:53, there is what appears to be a dead human figure. I dont know if this is a spartan IV because i'm not very familiar with the helmets yet, but if it is a marine, then i think it looks very cool - at 0:58, we can see one of the blue prometheans attacking chief. It does not appear to be the same clip form the E3 campaign demo, because the environment in this clip is during the night time. It seems to be the same exact animation, but it is in a new setting and the promethean is blue, not orange. could these just be minor changes, or is there more meaning to it?? -at 3:18, there appears to be a variant of the promethean knight. It appears to have more armor than the standard knight that we have already seen. The limbs are physically connected, not hovering as we have seen in the knights already. I cannot make out if it has any weapons either -starting at 4:10, they explain the background of the skull that the knights have been shown to reveal -at 4:27, there is a good view of a new grunt variant and the fuel rod gun -starting at 4:32, there is a clip of a knight assassinating an elite. this is a new animation that i have not seen yet, and the knight appears to have long, glowing blade hat it using for the stabbing animation -there is a very fast senquence from 4:40- 4:41, that shows MC thrusting a large object into the abdomen of a knight. It is most likey an assassination move, but he appears to be using a firearm or some other object for the animation. To me, the object looks very simlar to blade that the knights have on their left arms, but i may be wrong - 4:43 shows an assassination on a watcher -4:47 shows an assassination on a crawler - starting at 4:55, we new gameplay from a forerunner version of the SMG or assualt rifle. It is shown a lot more in later clips -from 5:01- 5:06, there are shots of the different variants of knights -at 5:27, there is another depiction of a dead human figure, it appears to be a marine -5:55 starts another assassination move for the crawler - 6:20 shows that watchers will have the ability to resurrect fallen knights - at 6:39, a knight seems to "clothes line" an elite off of a ghost - starting at 7:03, we see a prototype forerunner weapon. I am not sure if it will be in the final version of the game -at 4:42, a designer explains how the forerunner weapons wil be dual purpose, and an example is shown of the bolt pistol's two uses -at 10:14, you can see both a phantom and a pelican in the same clip. They are not engaged in any combat, so this may hint that the humans may have elite allies with them - This is most likely the biggest find in this video, at 10:18. You can see a phantom approaching an enourmous foerunner sturcture. It is too large to be the Didact's cryptum that we have already seen. It could possibly be a combat vessel used by the prometheans, but my theory is different. I have a strong feeling that this is the ancient foerunner weapon that the storm had been searching for on requiem. -at 4:31, there is a clip showing MC approaching the Didact's cryptum -my final observation. Throughout the enitrety of this video, MC is seen fighting both blue and orange prometheans. But the covenant is only seen fighting against the blue prometheans, never against the orange.......what deos this mean?? thanks a lot if you read throught all of these. I hope they were interesting to you

it seems like a cool idea that could be integrated very easily. It won't affect the gameplay mechanics in any way, so i dont see how this could be a problem to anyone
-
This is just an idea that i think would stop spamming, lucky throws, etc. What if the grenades had a timed detonation?? 3 seconds seems like plenty of time for a nade to travel an oppropriate distance. It would also enable time to bounce it off of objects before it explodes. It would make grenade spamming less effective, and it would add a more realistic feeling to the game. In previous halos, you could throw a nade as far as you want, and it would explode after one bounce. This could stop players from hurling grenades across the entirety of a map, and it would make timing key to dealing damage with nades. for example in reach, i would be on one side of a map. My opponent is on the opposite side with a sniper rifle and frag grenades. He hits my body and my shields pop so i take cover in an enclosed area. He hurls both of his frags across the length of the entire map and gets the kill on me. this is very unrealistic. If there was a timed detonation, it would have exploded in mid air and his spamming wouldnt have worked. this is just an idea. It may have an effect on the pace of the gameplay, but i would like to hear some feedback on the idea

yeah, it will most likely be balanced. That makes the most sense, so they will be similar to brute weapons
-
this will be really weird......especially if your secondary in your loadout is a PP.
