at first when you said the community, i thought you were talking about these forums and i got all upset. lol but this is a very relevant topic. When i end up with girls in the same lobby as me, i have a lot of respect for them. I have witnessed a lot of the harassment that goes on and it annoys me. But the way you girls just keep on gaming is very cool. You do it because you love it, and no one is going to stop you and about the reputation of the gaming community.... i think a lot of these problems come from careless parents. Not all of them, but a lot. When 5 year olds are on xbox live, they hear so much stuff that they shouldnt hear and it sticks with them for the rest of theirs lives. Their parents just give them whatever they want and they dont care what kind of media their kids are exposed to. Then as they get older, they pick up more stereotypes and bad language to put in their arsenal. Then the media finds out about some of these kids and whole community gets pummeled for it. A lot of gamers are mature and are very decent people, but when the immature minority of the community screws up, all gamers get the hate my parents are not fond of me gaming at all. From some of the gamer stereotypes, they think i have no friends or social life, And they think gaming will make me into a violent person.(i have plenty of friends that i hang out with in person, and i am more calm than anyone else in my family. Pretty much the opposite of violent). My parents think the whole gaming community is like this becuase of a few people who screwed up in life. A lot of the people in our world over the age of 30 or so think technology is ruining the world. They were raised in a time peroid when they didnt have access to the technology we do and it is more foreign to them. They don't like all of these new changes, so they try to put it down every chance they get. The media finds a violent kid who has been plaing cod since he was 5, and then it suddenly appears that video games turn all gamers into violent people(sarcasm). Point is, when the lesser amount of people in the gaming community screw up, everyone is stereotyped from it. The best comparisson i can come up with is terrorism. a few Islamic extremists set of a bomb, and then their whole religion gets put down and stereotyped because of it. I do not mean to insult anyone from this comparrison, but it is just a a real life thing that i have witnessed but the problem is....this immature minority in the gaming community is growing very rapidly i dont know if that was easy to follow along with, but it sounded a lot better in my head also, with the matter of gamers complaining, i hate it as well. Certain gamers seem to have problem with every game that comes out, and they go and play it anyways. The complain say its going suck and they'll never play it, but they can't even walk their talk this is a very good topic, and i'm glad to see that someone is speaking up about these things. this can still comply with my theory. The precurosrs may have had weapons, but did they actually have an army to use them?? I think that they used the weapons to wipe out life in their previous galaxy, but they they no longer needed anyone too use them since they were the only race alive. And why would they have an army if they were the original keepers of the Mantle?? The are supposed to protect and preserve life, and army only destroys it

i'm in the story. my character is a mercenary who is fights for the money and the ladies but he seemed to have disappeared in the third chapter

i love reading this stuff........but what happened to my character??? he sort of just disappeared after the begining of the fight.... maybe you planned this, but i hope to see more of me in the story keep it up

and it looks great!! i guess the mods liked my idea but expanded on it a bit. and i'm sure having just one section for halo 4 will get overcrowded with topics once the game is released. thanks mods

the Didact's cryptum is seen on the cover of Silentium, so once the book comes out, we'll find out how he gets there

the co-op has does seem a bit too easy for me. I think increasing the enemy's numbers will make them more effective than increasing their rank

i agree. One thing that i dont like is how everyone wants things to be like halo 3. If every game was like halo 3, what would be the point of coming out with a new one??

yes, agreed. it is simply words being taken the wrong way. the answer TsicksSense posted does look a bit rude when you first read it, but that was not his intention. Maybe he could have given a more clear answer like "that would only be something a 343i employee would know. You should try their offical site which is halo.xbox.com", but the answer he gave was not meant to disrespect anyone. @ Overdriive_on_XBL the best thing you can do now is stop saying things that will insult others. It is only a misunderstanding with words and it is getting taken too far. If you are willing to change your attitude about this subject, i'm sure you can be forgiven by the community memebrs here and we can all be friends. This is meant to be a friendly site and the members here are willing to accept those who show respect to others. If you are not willing to change your attitude, then you will just have to accept the consequences that come with your actions now everyone should stop arguing, and maybe this topic should be locked because it has gone in the direction

that was also something that concerned me. All of the people that will join this site right when the game comes out will be posting things up without a care. and unfortunately...... the best option comes down to just avoiding the forums..... i'm a little bit upset though. I'm starting at a new school in a few weeks and its supposed to be pretty tough. I'm sure my time for playing halo will get very limited so it may take a while for me to beat the new campaign. I just didnt want it to get spoiled for me and many others on the forums, but the possible solutions are getting limited. so, i guess it comes down to avoiding the site for a few weeks

invasion on boneyard. I picked up sniper, got a one shot triple kill. went through two heads into the third guy its not all that amazing, but it felt great when i did it
