There may be more to the depth of this plot than we may think. Yes, we should probably be more concerned about the location of the Didact, but who is the largest threat to the Didact? Nope, not master chief, it's the precursors. The precursors have vowed to make their creations suffer to punish the forerunners for their rebellion. Since we previously thought that the forerunners were extinct, until halo 4, the precursors may have also learned that the Didact still lives. The precursors also intended for the mantle to be inherited by humanity, so precursors could even form am alliance with humanity in an attempt to eliminate the Didact. Btw, humpstyles, it's great being able to discuss halo fiction again

I was wondering about the conditions of precursors that went dormant after the Forerunner-Precursor war. It has been said that some precursors went into suspended animation1 near the end of the war, while others chose to convert themselves into a powder form. Where might the precursors in suspended animation currently be?? Now, here is where things may get more complicated. The flood is the result of defects in the precursor powder forms cause by aging. The powder was supposed to return precursors to their original form, but time rendered it defective. So the flood are "precursors gone wrong" when you look at the big picture. The halo rings were designed to destroy any potential hosts for the flood, not destroy the flood itself. Is it possible that the firing of the halo rings did not destroy the dormant precursors because of their relation to the flood?? Or would those precursors have been killed along with the other sentient life in the galaxy? Whether or not precursors are in the galaxy still could be a major factor in future halos, and i was hoping that someone might have some light to shed on this subject 1 suspended animation- the slowing of life processes by external means, without killing the individual. Breathing, heartbeat, and other involuntary functions still occur to keep the organism alive. It is very similar to hibernation or being frozen in cryo storage

They will surely return at some point in the reclaimer saga. The flood is most likely in containment units on each of the halo rings, and numerous rings have not been affected by the war yet. Some pea-brain grunts will probably pop the lid on a flood container and lead an entire ring to be under flood control. Mendicant Bias was also not completely destroyed in the events of the forerunner saga, and he would be an extremely valuable asset to the flood. He will surely have knowledge of numerous forerunner artifacts that the flood could use to their advantage in combat too

I did say that the boltshot is quite "noobish" to use, and i would never use it myself for that reason. Anyways, if its too difficult to adjust your play style, try to play in some different playlists. It sounds to me like you play infinity slayer, so try moving to something larger like team objective or big team battle. Larger maps will provide better places to utilize the light rifle to its full abilities

This is not completely accurate from what i have read. The precursors attempted to turned themselves into powder, so that they could preserve their race and return at some point in the future. Because the powder had sat dormant for so long, time had rendered it ineffective for its original purpose. Eventually, ancient humans discovered the powder in the ruins of a precursor ship and began to experiment with it. They began testing the powder as a food source for some small animals, and those animals eventually became extremely deformed and aggressive. Humans even began to experiment with the powder on themselves, and the effects were disturbing. Humans began to go insane and they became cannibalistic. It is described that they force fed uninfected humans to "fatten them up" before the devoured their bodies as a feast. These strange mutations eventually evolved into what we know as the flood The powder form was originally created to save the precursors from extinction, but it had become so old that it was defective. With their "new" form, the precursors sought to bring agony to all life, in order to avenge the sudden betrayal of the precursors. In conclusion, the flood is the precursors, but not at their original form. Precursors were not parasitic originally, nor did they communicate using graveminds and telepathy. So the flood is technically a "precursor gone wrong", or more simply, a mistake

the gun designed to be dominant at longer ranges. Its weakness is in close range situations; it is not meant to be the ideal weapon for any situation. Being able to use the weapon well depends on your knowledge of its strengths and weaknesses, and being able to utilize them to your advantage. Learn to navigate and control areas on maps that will give you some space between you and your opponent so the weapon can be used to its full potential. In my light rifle class, i always use a magnum as the secondary because of its great ROF and versatility in many combat situations. I can almost use it like a primary weapon, so I pull it whenever the light rifle is not suitable for a situation. Or just use the boltshot for when an enemy gets too close, but that will be considered very "noobish" of you. It is not the rifle that needs the improvement, it is your play style that needs an adaptation

Personally, i am going to choose Exo, Hunter. the Exo race is deadly and disciplined, and my style of play will revolve around recon, scouting, and sniping with the hunter class

it has been speculated a lot that reach will return in future halos, but there has not been much evidence to back that statement up. Really, the only piece of evidence is the ship that is seen in the epilogue of halo reach, landing in the background behind the cracked helmet of noble 6. It is possible that humanity will try to re-colonize the planet, but how will that affect the story line and master chief? Allow me to sidetrack a bit It is quite obvious that Chief desires to have his AI cortana back. Her demise broke his heart in the events of halo 4, and Chief is seen gripping Cortana's AI chip in the short trailer for halo 5. The only person known to be capable of bringing back Cortana, is Dr. Catherine Halsey. The relationship between Master Chief and Dr. Halsey could become very interesting, since Halsey is now working in cooperation with Jul mdama. Chief sees Halsey as a mother figure and Chief is like a son to Halsey, so this could become even more controversial. Their relationship is not entirely important to my theory, so i will not discuss it any further. The AI cortana was created using a flash-cloned copy of Dr. Halsey's brain (a highly illegal method). She was also meant to resemble Halsey in physical appearance too. From what i remember, Halsey had created Cortana with experimental forerunner technology to make her superior to the average AI. This technology was from an underground forerunner facility, which happens to be located beneath Sword Base. Halsey's lab, as seen in halo reach's campaign, was there to research the forerunner artifacts and provide an ideal place to perfect Cortana Long story short, Halsey will most likely need resources from her lab beneath the surface of reach in order to reconstruct Cortana for Chief. This is a key piece of evidence that hints a return to reach in the events of future halos

What i am trying to say is, you need some experience and talent if you want to land a job with 343i. As Leonanders said, you should know what area(s) of production you would be able to work in. Developing a game requires numerous talents working in unison to achieve a common goal, and each part is extremely important

What's the point? Regular elites are already physically larger than a Spartan, and they have the same amount of strength too. The only thing that they could improve on, is becoming smarter soldiers and learning to control their pride
